  1. I have a $2000 medical bill I gotta pay. I can pay in installments right? And if so, how much can I typically split it up by and does that extend over a few months?

First off do you have health insurance and have you made a claim through them with that bill? That’s a very hefty bill to have to pay on your own, goodness.

If you do and have already gone through them and you are obligated to pay the $2000 then talk with the biller about paying in installments/establishing a payment plan to work with you. I don’t see why they wouldn’t as most of us don’t have 2 grand laying around.

I recently signed up just a few days ago for health insurance with my work, so unfortunately this won’t get covered.:/

Oh that sucks. Well yeah try to work out a payment plan with the biller and let them know you didn’t have insurance. I’m sure they will work with you as you’re making efforts to pay the bill as opposed to ignoring it.

Yeah, I'm with Kiah about seeing if you can do a payment plan, if worst comes to worse and they won't let you I'll try and toss a couple bucks your way to pay it off cause those bills suck.

Thanks for the offer mighty it means a lot but I couldn’t take your money. I’ll call them tomorrow, I’m sure I can get this paid in full eventually

I don't really know how health care works in the States, but $2000 does seem like a lot. I'll be very surprised if they don't have a system in place to accept installments, even if it will accrue interest over time. Lots of people are going to be in a situation where they don't have insurance that will cover them, so there's got to be a system in place for paying off large bills.

How did this get double posted like four hours late?
