  1. There’s a Doctor Yoshi and Peach now...umm k?

An apple a day keeps the doctor away, Yoshi.

  2. Oh my god, a gay comedian guy I follow, Elijah Daniel bought Hell, Michigan and changed it to Gay Hell Michigan to protest trumps embassy flag ban and the news is on a outrage over it lol. Not that it’s not petty and a ridiculous waste of money since I don’t see what that’ll do to effect trump, but like...I love how the conservative news outlets and trump supporters are saying this is just as bigoted as what lgbt people fight against lol

    1. Polkadi~♪

I’m sorry this isn’t what you were talking about, but... Elijah Daniel? They looked so much alike, but now Elijah Wood and Daniel Radcliffe have fused together!

  4. I’m excited to play Crash Team with the retro skins. That’s gonna be a nostalgia trip lol

  5. My plan to get Crash Team Racing Nitro:

    >Wait until release drop Friday

    >go on PSN to buy the Nitros Oxide edition

    >enter my 20% off discount code I’ve had for months now I can use on anything on the store

    >get it for 48 bucks

    I win at life

  6. >When Papagenos and BillyB0 who both didn’t think RE was all that likely, become more convinced it may in fact happen for Smash

K, even if it doesn’t happen, feels good having guys like them share your sentiments regardless, especially when it’s partly due to your discussions with them haha. Feels nice to finally not be looked at as being random or unreasonable with your suggestion

  7. Is there a situation or way in which they could do something that appeals to both sides that you’d be alright with or open to? Cause I feel as if doubling down isn’t gonna win the people that raised criticism over the system. Though if their goal is simply to satisfy the people that had no problem with it and don’t want it changed at all, I guess doing something like that is the logical next step. Which is fine. It’ll just personally for me be more clear from the get go it’s not really gonna be my kind of thing, if it’s just more of the same
  8. How about the option to keep the broken remains of the weapon, and take it to a smith or to fix it (or fix yourself)albeit with a higher cost of materials and money needed depending on the weapon or with some other drawback? Would that work as a compromise potentially?
  9. I mean Nintendo has always been one to create alternate play styles in order to be more accessible (smart steering for MK, the cosmic guide in galaxy, that easy mode in Star Fox 0, etc.) So the option to use unbreakable weapons I personally see as no different. If you don’t want to use them, you don’t, just ignore them and continue with the breakable weapons you use. Why force people to use a system they already don’t enjoy just because you personally like it and feel it compliments the game. Clearly that’s not a universal experience from others who have played and beaten the game and I don’t think their experiences or thoughts are invalid. If games like Skyrim being massive successes is any indication, a lack of weapon breaking doesn’t always take away from the experience for these open world games for many people.
  10. I’m pretty sure there’s a canon set of events, and the other methods are just for the players enjoyment, so I don’t see this happening. Also why not a auto weapon switching system like Kingdom Hearts 3 or Final Fantasy XV for weapons? While I’m in the camp that’s not a huge Into the weapon durability system as it is currently(it’s just never been a system personally I enjoyed as much as others in most games that use it.), I feel most for sure weren’t a fan of the pace breaking swapping weapon system.
  11. “Wow that Articuno sounds cool. It’d be awesome if it was real”

This is in Johto. Way after the 2nd film. God damn Ash you fucking dumbass. Why can’t they connect the events of the movies to the show consistently like normal people? You can’t tell me that’d ruin anything. I mean the movies have no problem directly tying into the anime’s events.:/

    1. KHCast

Also why does the anime treat legendary Pokémon like common with multiple of them, when the movies make it more clear there’s only the one “legendary”? Like in Pokemon the movie 2, the villain dude makes it apparent there’s just the one of each of the bird legendaries.

    2. Teoskaven

Just wait until the Sinnoh league.

“Can’t have too much continuity; that might make kids look too far back beyond the current generation and realize how often we don’t give a damn about past events unless we need a quick dash of nostalgia!”

That or the movie verse is just an alternate universe of the anime that just inexplicably happens to have the same people with the same Pokémon.

    4. Strickerx5

Man, you’re asking the same questions I was asking over a decade back. Lol

The anime rarely ever gives a shit about continuity between seasons. I remember specifically being happy when Ash actually turned his cap back once at the tail end of Sinnoh... like, that was enough to get excitement out of me I was so gd desperate at that point.

    5. Ernest the Panda

      Ernest the Panda

And then they DO acknowledge the second movie during the Lugia arc a few episodes later.

    6. KHCast

Going through the show again after so long, just wow, my nostalgia glasses really wore off. From Ash and co never being able to point out team rocket because they put a fucking hat on, to movie events sometimes being used to advance the plot while also being retconned the next moment, to the number of Pokémon being established within the lore constantly changing, Oak being a liar if future films are to be believed, to ash just NEVER AGING. God this show.:|

What’s even worse for me is that the characters really aren’t as fun as I remember. Ash is a idiot, Misty is needlessly angry and stereotypical girly girl, and Brock is a borderline stalker and womanizer that I wouldn’t be surprised to see in our age be called out for his shit. Like damn, the man needs to chill, we get it, he likes girls.

    7. Wraith

The show plays it loose with continuity to remain accessible.

    8. Soniman

Who cares man. It's seriously not a big deal

(Also if you think there's little to no continuity for at least the first 4 generations of the anime you are wrong)

    9. Tails spin

      Tails spin

I got tired of team rocket mid hoenn. I would fast foward most of their solo scenes and mottos. And yeah it got tiring seening that Ash and co could tell it was team rocket. I guess at that point i was in my mid teenage years those nostaglia glasses came off then

    10. SupahBerry

Expecting continuity here is like expecting Ash to grow up

    11. KHCast

Other shows can be accessible while having a stable continuity, so I find that excuse as dumb as the excuse for why S&S doesn’t have Pokémon transfers for all Pokémon.

@Soniman there’s selective continuity. But not a actual stable consistent one. It’s fucking dumb

    12. Wraith

If Ash aged drastically he would be older than the target audience of the series whicn would defeat the point of it. Its not supposed to be a long running narrative.

    13. KHCast

Age not changing is one thing(though  then maybe don’t rely constantly on ash and use different characters like, yknow, most cartoons like this? Yugioh did it and is still successful. Ash gets to be annoying anyway, just have him win a championship, and move on to someone new.) but, that shouldn’t be reason for relying on a completely shitty story will barely any stable consistency. Again, how the fuck would connection to films, or just not dropping the “oh there’s only (blank) number of Pokémon in the world” line(something they knew was going to be bs), ruin it for kids?

    14. Soniman

I'm sorry not everyone had the power of hindsight back in the 90s where they weren't sure if Pokemon would be a flash in the pan fad or not and not eventually become a multi-billion dollar franchise 20 plus years later.

I'm sure they're really kicking themselves for writing that throwaway line about there being 151 pokemon. I hope someone got fired for that.

    15. Wraith

It wouldn't ruin it, but the series is designed to be able to be picked up from any episode essentially, so theyre just lax about it and dont lean too hard on it.

Its not like these little continuity niggles actually harm the series, anyway. For what Pokemon was trying to do it was a solid series and still is. A lot of genuine craftsmenship went into making it a fun watch and I think its silly to dump on it for some cinemasins-esque moaning about continuity errors like anyone watching ever even cared about that compared to the moment to moment interactions.

“I'm sorry not everyone had the power of hindsight back in the 90s where they weren't sure if Pokemon would be a flash in the pan fad or not and not eventually become a multi-billion dollar franchise 20 plus years later.”

      >Believing that after the mega success of the first Pokémon game and first season, the Pokémon company didn’t expect for there to be more Pokémon games and thus more Pokémon.

I don’t think they needed hindsight here.

Look, obviously the show was well received by kids. They’re kids that for the most part don’t look that deep into the shallowness. I’m just saying growing up, it’s really dawning on me that there are tons of problems I have with the show now. It’s not just the dumb wishy washy continuity and a consistent narrative, but also just the vapid characters that start to get bland and repetitive with their arcs. As I said, the main trio isn’t all that great as individuals, and despite spending all this time together, I never feel genuine character growth between them. Sure they may have moments where interesting things may happen or develop, but it’s never acted on.  This is doubly true for team rocket which is just a disappointment with how they show signs of being decent people with sad backstories, but nope, bad guys they’re 100% bad guys everyone. Ash called them losers so you know they’re bad.

    17. Soniman

      I 100% completely disagree so I guess that's that

    18. Strickerx5

I’m sort of in the camp where I’d wish they’d stick to some general form of storytelling rather than the hair-thin line to *insert region’s championship here* but I get why they don’t. Pokemon simply seems to have this growing issue of trying to keep things baseline so that it isn’t daunting for newcomers to jump in. I can say that I’d wish certain events in the anime carried more weight but, at this point, you’d have a One Piece situation where new viewers now have hundreds of episodes to catch up on.

It’s one thing when the content is presented in a “take it or leave it” case like including all the Pokemon in the mainline games (where their inclusion don’t hinder any newcomer’s experience because they don’t have to get them). It’s a completely different thing with story where everything (should) build upon itself. At that point, you are asking a lot from newer generations and more so as time progresses.

It does sucks for some long time viewers (it’s honestly the main reason I’ve fallen off from the show) and generally for anyone who enjoys long running story arcs. Like, when you consider that we’ve been getting better storylines across the board in media as a whole, seeing Pokemon remain in its unchanging bubble does get frustrating. Though, it’s sort of the trade off they have to make to keep this going for so long and have it cater to so many people.

Imo, I think the best solution to this would be to start a completely different anime that has more of a story focus. Though, it’s not like they haven’t tried that already...

    19. KHCast

Pokémon origins I always thought was an experiment to see if they could branch out with a new story/protagonist. Shame they didn’t develop more on that but eh, you name fair points I guess. Still wish they introduced new protags instead of simply always sticking with ash personally

  12. If there’s one thing that’s annoying about Sonic All Stars Transformed, it’s how much exclusive content is on the PC, but not consoles. Like fuck there’s like what, 4 or 5 exclusive characters for that version?

    1. JezMM

To be fair the TF2 guys are the only ones who actually have any worthwhile character beyond just representing a game franchise. Also the DLC characters on PC always felt a little tacked on to me because they lack proper transformation animations, like there clearly wasn't much budget to them.  Fun little bonuses but nothing amazing.

    2. Sean

Yeah you're not really missing out. I bought Ryo just to have him (and avoided Yogcast like the plague) but I never used anyone not already in the base game. If anything I'm really annoyed that the first All-Stars DLC never came to Steam, though at least Metal Sonic and Death Egg are available in Transformed.

All versions of the game have Vyse and that's all that matters to me.

    3. KHCast

Yeah some of the dlc choices to be honest were...dumb or just random. But I still gotta wonder what the deal was with Sega doing that in the first place. Was the game most successful on steam or something?

    4. Thigolf

Most of the characters were pretty much PC only franchises, so I kinda get it? I mean, it would've been cool, but I'm not losing much sleep over it.

Ryo being PC exclusive was absolutely BS, though.

  13. Wow, the FF7R PS4 theme you get for pre-ordering it digitally is weak. The one you get for buying FF7 the remastered edition is a lot better imo

  14. There are people upset that BoTW2 is using the same engine? lol wut?

    1. Ferno

maaaan gimme dat shit for the next 10 games its good af i dont even care

    2. Blue Blood

      Blue Blood

I'm going to hazard a guess that the people bothered about this don't know what an engine is, and are actually bothered about the game using the same Hyrule and art style. They're quite possibly making further assumptions too, about the open world gameplay, weapon durability etc etc all returning...

  15. Chance alone has me sold. One of my favorite indie artists gone major, and one of my favorite animated cartoons? Can’t wait to see how that turns out
