  1. happy birthday!

  2. If it wasn't for Crush 40, I never would've gotten into Johnny's other bands Hardline and Axel Rudi Pell. Because i'm a fan of those bands also, it never occured to me that C40 haven't done any Sonic music for quite some time. That's not really a bad thing if you ask me because you're limiting yourself in a way. I really enjoy their newer non-Sonic material as it allows for more scope. Still, whatever happens, I don't think back in the days of SA1 & 2 that we would still be getting music over 10 years later. That's a testament to Johnny and Jun's friendship right there.
  3. It's been a long time since i've posted on here, so please move to the necessary forum if needed. My good friend Angie interviewed Johnny over the last weekend while touring Axel Rudi Pell's new album. Among the delights of the interview, you'll learn his favourite film, his favourite ice cream, but also that Crush 40 have a new EP coming out this year!! Enjoy! PS: There is a little adult humour here, but i'm sure you'll be fine...
  4. Here's my 100 word piece! The thought of Senoue-san making "retro" music in the vein of Sonic 1 - S3&K was something to get excited about, but unfortunately I was a little disappointed. The melodies aren’t terribly memorable and loop too quickly. That said, there are some melodies that stand up such as Splash Hill. Given the choice, Episode I’s music trumps Episode II, but that could be due to knowing the songs longer. The CD is fairly priced for what you get (£20) and you get a lot of music, but sadly it's not something I can recommend to anyone bar soundtrack completists. 2/5
  5. Going off topic ever so slightly, but I feel like I have to point this out. I'm not sure how old some of you guys are on here and I understand that paying more for a physical CD compared to the MP3 may seem bizarre, but that's what we grew up with. I was too young to appreciate vinyl when it was big (up to the 80's), but the feeling of owning something *physical* is something that is special to me and it's a little sad that it's not as appreciated nowadays in a world of instant downloading and whatnot. Again, it's personal choice, but given the choice, it's physical media over instant MP3 all the way. Also, the S4 CD OST has a bonus track that the iTunes version doesn't, so you can look at it another way. T - I remember you taking that photo a while back! Have you not got any more CD's since?
  6. I own the soundtrack and paid £20 for it including postage to the UK, so it's well priced for what you get. It's very minimal, but it's quite a nice package. I'm not terribly keen on the music, but it's grown on me a little. The S3&K OST also only has music from S&K, so aside from Angel Island, there's been no official release of Sonic 3 music to the best of my knowledge. I would pay good money for an official OST as that would compliment the S1&2 OST released last year. There is a Sonic Spinball soundtrack...in a way. There's a CD called Sonic Boom which was a preorder with Sonic 3 in the US and contained the US Sonic CD soundtrack and a few Sonic Spinball songs tacked on the end. http://vgmdb.net/album/2292
