  1. Gamexplain don’t personally believe a Smash leak(well half of the members anyway), as well as point out the toxicity within many of the forum discussions, and suddenly people hate them, say they’re biased and paid by Nintendo, not reliable, etc. Interesting.

People aren't really miffed about them thinking it's fake. They're miffed that they did a cack-handed effort in discussing it.

They spent over half an hour going over Blog Theory with resources and everything. Then this purported leak with physical evidence comes up, and they don't devote more than 5 minutes analyzing it.

People like them for their often overly-analytical discussions. Doing not that will obviously cause people to not like them for doing not that.

  2. Gohan killing Cell is probably one of the best death scenes in anime, as far as presentation goes. Just seeing Cell disintegrate ever so slowly as he chokes and screams in agony, before bellowing out one last flabbergasted line about his perfection, and then being blown apart from his attack stance and his body reduced to shreds, including seeing the arms and eyes dissipate to nothing, and one last disarming moan as the remnants of his outline of where he was finally gives way to the blast.

It's a shot by shot sequence of what happens when you succumb to one of these anime attacks, and it's incredibly chilling.

@Ratcicle King The transition from a look of shock and disbelief, to one of pain and horror, amidst the flashing lights of the attack overwhelming him and pieces of his body flaking off....It's so seamless that it comes across as eerily genuine and real. That is the power of animating things frame by frame at its best.

@Kuzu the Boloedge That was the first time I heard Ginyu Transformation, but damn did that song feel appropriate for this moment. You can feel the finality of the moment with it.

  5. Think you're a fussy eater? I go to Subway and order toasted chicken tikka subs with absolutely no toppings, salad, cheese or sauces, without shame. Anyone on my level of blandness?

BLT, Double Bacon, white bread, Toasted, Extra Mustard, light spinach, oregano spice. Every time.

  6. It's funny how there still isn't a Kirby stage in Smash originating from a Kirby game that came out after Sakurai left the series

    1. -Robin-

      -Robin-

To be honest, there isn't really an iconic locale of sorts in later Kirby games that can be used for stages.

Everyone knows what the Great Cave Offensive could look like. Everyone knows what the Halberd looks like and what it can do. Later Kirby games don't have an instantly identifiable set piece, at least for me.

The closest I can think of that predates Smash 4 is the Starcutter ship, but that would just come off as a Halberd clone. Maybe they can have a Haltmann Works stage next time?

  7. It was kinda nice seeing Goku and Freeza working together. They got grear syngery.

    1. -Robin-

      -Robin-

Fridge Brilliance kicks in when you remember that Freeza spent his time in hell meditating out of his Golden Freeza stamina weakness by imagining every conceivable scenario in a fight with Goku and how to kill him. Freeza would know Goku's moves in and out, so he can dodge every one of them, and so this translated perfectly into fighting in sync with him, knowing when, where, and how he would attack, and responding in kind by covering the blindspots.

  8. How does the Dragon Ball fanbase feel about being invaded by furries anyway lol

      -Robin-

The King of Earth is literally named King Furry.

      There shouldn't be any bother.

But where did Vegeta find the time to give Bergamo his start of darkness.

  10. I'm kinda surprised Mania didn't get some kind of post-launch DLC content series.

It's the lack of some transitions that's the problem. Either do 100% or 0%, not 55%

  11. Is it just me or was Budokai 3, one of the worst DBZ fighting games, in terms of balancing? (Capsule system, form-based ki baseline etc.)

    1. -Robin-

      -Robin-

iirc, though Omega Shenron is indeed the best character in Budokai 3 thanks to having his 7 Ki bars off the bat, Cell and Piccolo are the next best two, despite the two of them starting at 3 Ki bars.

  12. Why didn’t Vegeta ever keep his Buu arc look? I honestly liked it better then his armor.

    1. -Robin-

      -Robin-

From a story perspective, everything about the Buu Saga came about from the events of the Tenkaichi Budokai happening, where armor is not allowed, so Vegeta opted for a tight-fitting bodysuit instead. The saga itself lasted for about 3 days in real time, and Vegeta was dead for most of it, so there was no time to swap back to his armor.

  13. Craig Bartlett said that a new season of Hey Arnold! could be greenlit if the Jungle Movie is a success over the weekend, and with the reviews for it being positive, hey, I consider it a responsibility of mine to watch it over the weekend.

I struggle to think of a mobile gacha game that provides as much content as Heroes does.

Nintendo and IntSys have kinda raised the standard for these game types imo

  15. As a well-liked, respected and appreciated former member famously said in regards to describing how I feel about Sonic Forces thus far (and quite possibly as whole once I finish it)...

I'm not even joking I was actually watching the credits roll on while typing this status, and then the extra screen came up. The game legit pulled a Not So Fast Bucko on me.

  17. Eh, Kirby Final Boss themes rankings, Top 5.

    1) Star Dream
    2) Nightmare
    3) Magolor Phase 1
    4) Access Ark
    5) Zero 2

    1. -Robin-

      -Robin-

#4 is actually called Virtual Space Manipulator, my bad.

  18. I have a newfound appreciation for the first theme in Kirby's Dreamland 3. I think it might be my favorite in the series after Planet Popstar in 64.

      -Robin-

Truth be told, I have never played Kirby 3 before. That'll change on Monday though!

Planet Popstar is my favorite Kirby song of all, but Super Star's Crystal Fields and the Mystery Paradise comes at a close second with Vs. Star Dream!

  19. Ha! Dragon Ball Super's 1 hour special had the lowest ratings in the series entire run.

  20. I think Ultra Instinct is Goku's final transformation. Like, what can even top this?

He can literally just let his body fight for him.

  21.

You know how there's that one Pkemon in the games that has a stupid rare encounter

Chansey in RBY, Feebas in RSE, and so on

Well Heracross has to be it for GSC, damnit

    1. -Robin-

      -Robin-

Nah. It's still Chansey in GSC.

Heracross in a Tree Pokemon, but there are "special" trees in GSC where only certain Pokemon spawn in. You might just be Headbutting the wrong trees.

  22. The Mania Emerald Stages are, without fucking fail, the worst the series has ever had. Shitty controls, rubber banding UFO, no invincibility frames so you hit one batch of spikes into another, I am stunned the devs were such utter pinheads to allow this to be greenlit.

Heroes's controls are slippery by fault of the tubular design screwing with the momentum.

Mania's controls are bad to create fake difficulty.
