  1. Dreamt last night that the Sonic Mania devs showed viewers a marathon feature of the game, where you play the game's zones, without boss fights, one right after another, with segue's between zones happening instantly via short chutes.

Aquatic Ruin was shown in the list, and it turned out that the cathedral-type level was Sky Sanctuary, with Hidden Palace dragged up to the sky to become part of the level.

    1. A wild west steam engine

      A wild west steam engine

Wow. What a coincidence! I also had a sonic mania dream last night. I dreamt that launch base zone got revealed and the developers showed off act two. It had this weird crystal in the background that interacted with the gimmicks in the level.

  2. It's that form teased in the opening of the arc, when Goku's smirking behind the Kaioken aura veil. Could be SSB Kaioken fully optimized. The tagline reads "The work of the gods ends here." so this state can rival the GoDs and potentially Zen'o in power at the least, if not surpass them.
  3. The cicada fighter can burrow underground, so he's likely hiding within the stadium (a stadium made of Kachi Katchin too, as a testament of his piercing strength) for the initial surprise attack when it's time to fight. Given how Tien's the only one who can pick up his presence atm, he may be the one to take him down with Solar Flare, another technique that can catch people unawares and make them fight blind.
  4. They're making a game in a genre that has a fighter where Phoenix Wright can beat Dr. Doom. What a completely asinine statement to make.
  5. Chris Ayres has been hospitalized and will be undergoing lung surgery. Out of respect, his Facebook post is here under Spoilers. Funimation has a replacement VA for Freeza, in case the worst happens.
  6. 1996: DKC3

    2010: DKC Returns

    2002: Metroid Fusion

    2017: Samus Returns

    2003: F-Zero GX

    2019: F-Zero Returns?

  7. A Zelda game set in the Wind Waker timeline after Spirit Tracks where the citizens of New Hyrule looked at how the Hero of Winds saved the world 100 years ago, and then this boy saved New Hyrule from the Demon King, so they misconstrue Demise's curse as a foregone heroic prophecy. They pass the warnings on for the denizens to heed a century from now, and when a baby that looks just like the two Links is born, the people raise him to be the next hero. But this Link lookalike is piss scared of the mantle he's been forced to take, and it turns out he's not the chosen hero this time anyway, but a female Lynk that's the playable character.

  8. A Zelda game soon after Skyward Sword where the next incarnation of Link has a close bond or a surrogate son relationship with the first incarnation of Ganondorf, but the curse of Demise forces the two to conflict and fulfill the fated conflict for the first time.

      Wraith

I've wanted this for years but it's never happening lol

    2. Forte-Metallix

      Forte-Metallix

It ends with Ganondorf offering Link the chance to join him, but he does not accept and dies as a result.

    3. Ratcicle King

      Ratcicle King

And Zelda for a good chunk of the game is seen as the antagonist because she decides to be proactive and take extreme measures to take care of Ganondorf, with Link trying to protect him, unaware of why she's doing it.

  9. Mrs. Beakley is here to clean house and kick ass. And the house has been cleaned.
  10. I'm such a sucker for continuity and The Bus Came Back, so naturally I screeched unnaturally when I saw Pauline back for Odyssey.

  11. The Odyssey Ya See segment in the song, @1:29... ...It's a remix of 25M from Donkey Kong. FUCK.
  12. Move lists for the 6 starting characters. The attacks that were first named in the Budokai Tenkaichi series have had their names retained (Nova Strike, Death Saucer, Solar Kamehameha, etc.), while those that were named with a quote has had its line changed (Freeza's "You Must Be Killed By Me!") Freeza, Cell, and Buu have unblockable attacks of some sort. Buu has techniques to get him back in long-range combat. Vegeta specializes in CQC. Gohan's seemingly the strongest character in hit/damage ratio, and has a built-in Counter, but has low range to compensate. And Goku's pegged as an all-rounder.
  13. If Metroid Samus Returns sells so well, then we're good to go for a goddamn Super Metroid remake on the Switch. Ace.

  14. With how certain people have had their heads stuck so far up their butt over everything Sonic Team does with Modern Sonic, I'm not surprised they's going all in with this cavalcade in Forces at this point.

They hate the idea of breathing the same air as Modern Sonic Team, why bother appeasing them at this point when the others would be genuinely interested in the other content the game's got now, with the core gameplay itself being adequate at the very least.

  15. METROID 2 REMAKE. OFFICIAL ONE.

  16. The Z Warriors inc. both Teen and Adult Gohan, Future Trunks, 16, 17, Mr. Satan, Videl, Pan, Uub, Beerus, Hit, Cabba, Caulifla, Kale Raditz, Nappa, Ginyu, Freeza, Dr. Gero, Cell, Majin Buu, Super Buu, Kid Buu, Dabura, Goku Black, Cooler, Broly, Omega Shenron. Pretty safe roster assumption for DBFZ. Maybe ax Dabura for Bardock.
  17. Super Saiyan 2 Teen Gohan is pretty much as much an icon of DBZ as Goku is. Shame it's just outclassed by Ultimate Gohan now, but maybe an upgrade of Ultimate Gohan reminiscent of SSJ2 is in the works for Super.

    1. Rusty Spy

      Rusty Spy

Ultimate Gohan is the last remaining reasonable super form.

  18. Marble Garden would have been super memorable if the sunset backdrop seen in the scene transition to Carnival Night was used as the background texture of Act 2. Running closeup to the ruins with that color pallet would have been sublime. As it stands though, the corkscrew down running segments from Marble Garden, where you can choose to jump off at any point for one of two routes, has been carried over to Stardust Speedway here, so if we're going by "Zone-specific tropes seen in other stages = not in Mania proper" then MG's out of luck.
  19. 21 years inbetween Bubsy games. Half Life 3 has no excuse now.

  20. Joke all you want, you know the new Bubsy will turn out better than Mighty No. 9.

    1. TCB

      TCB

Considering the people actually developing the game, I'll be shocked otherwise

  21. Trump correlated with Accolade to make the Bubsy news today to distract from the Comey aftermath.

  22. I don't mind reused stages. If anything, I find it a sign of confidence from the new developers that they have incessantly played the originals before and know them front to back, and so have their own ideas on how to mix up old classics out of pure experience, dedication, and adoration for them. Give me Sonic's Greatest Hits Redux as their first official entry, and then go for 100% original content afterward.
  23. If you've conquered the world and beaten everyone that resisted you, you don't have to care as much toward the overall design of your current robot sentry.
  24. The rollback of Brownback's tax cuts is a big deal. It was THE centerpiece of conservative policy to prove that trickle-down economics could work, crafted by the biggest conservative policy makers in the country

That it didn't work puts the entire philosophy and the movement in jeopardy.
