Geology rocks, but geography is where it's at.

Who told King K. Rool he could bring an actual musket gun with him to Smash Bros.
-
Guys.
Richter Belmont of all characters is getting an Amiibo.
What the fuck.

-
Pretty sure they confirmed ALL the Smash Bros. characters will get amiibo, including Daisy, Chrom, Dark Samus and Simon.

There's no issue.
Robin is saying we now live in a world where we will have a collectable toys-to-life figure of a Castlevania character done by Nintendo.
This timeline I swear just crazy man

You now remember that the Nicktoon Catscratch existed.
-
before it came out i really did believe nickelodeon's hype that it'd be the next great nicktoon and would probably get like 6 seasons or more, etc. the actual show was just ok. I liked it but it wasn't something on the level of rocko's modern life, rugrats, or spongebob. ironically looking back, as it came out in 2005, it really did feel like the last good nicktoon of the classic era before the well dried up and Nick soley relied on just Spongebob for years.

So should I be expecting an Animal Crossing remix from Hideki Naganuma at this point, or what.
-
Credit where its due, they had to find a way for people to turn heads for new F-Zero content in Smash, and they found it.

Whoever designed Special Stage 7 in Plus should be legally disbarred from making video games for life.

@SupahBerry But Sega wouldn't have the fans who make better games than them if they hadn't made the games they make better versions of!
-
Thank Christ for the giant ring right at the start of Flying Battery. Makes actually retrying the stage significantly less painful.
Though really all the new special stages are a significant difficulty jump from the originals. It's a shame the endgame payoff is kinda lacking, though funny.

Shoutout to the Mania Special Stages forgetting that collision detection exists if anyone hits a hazard, thereby letting one think they can cruise over small gaps at Mach 3 when actually they can't anyway.
Mania Special Stages are as well designed and mechanically sound as a unicycle using a soup can lid as the wheel.

It's honestly going to be an end of an era when Pat Sajak, Vanna White, Alex Trebek, and Bob Barker pass on.
-
Yeah, I can see why since Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy! and Price is Right are still aired in the US and have their fanbase.
In terms of UK gameshows, it is end of an era because we lost Bruce Forsyth, Jim Bowen and Dale Winton all very recently. A big chunk of memories gone... Some old school ones such as Bob Monkhouse (even though there is an Australian host who does act like him though, Andrew O'Keefe) and Terry Wogan have passed as well. There's only Ben Shephard, Bradley Walsh, Nick Knowles (eh..), Alexander Armstrong, Warwick Davis in terms of hosts with only a couple who have done more than one show and even then gameshows aren't as popular as they used to be.

Glad to see the Special Stages in Plus control the same and are as intelligently designed as the originals were.
....No wait, I said that wrong. It's shameful to see the Special Stages in Plus control the same and are as intelligently designed as the originals were.

I only found 1, 2, and 7 to be difficult (7 because of some trick spacing and the stupid fact that the ground is the same color as the pit). The rest I pretty much beat on my first go of them.
Though yeah, I will say that they weren’t nearly as fun or well designed as the first set.

@KHCast Honestly, I’d still say that they’re a lot better than a majority of the other special stages... but that really isn’t saying much considering how much I hate special stages in general.

It's clear that Classic Knuckles really doesn't want anything to do with Sonic unless he absolutely needs to, so other Classic games from here on could very well sub in Mighty for him, so the setting doesn't always have to return to the Master Emerald or Angel Island to justify Knuckles.
Ray's harder to justify over Tails though, since Tails has no animosity at all. Wonder how they'd go about subbing Ray in for that, unless they just go with the four as a set.
-
I think Ray's connection to Mighty, and now Team Sonic as a whole, is enough to justify him coming back to help in later adventures. But they could just as easily say he, or any of the others, might not be available for a game. They're all Sonic's friends, but that doesn't mean they're obligated to spend all their time with him.

Multiverse theory dictates there exists a universe where Sonic Mania has Marble Garden Zone, and Encore Mode for Marble Garden Zone uses the sunset backdrop pallet.
-
Glad I'm not in that universe. I reaally dislike Marble Garden Zone

....The open space in the middle of the "O" in the Sonic title logos is slanted, in order to look like Sonic revving up a Spindash.
omg
-
Nope. It's been like that since Sonic 1 in Japan and Europe. (America used a different type face when they made their Sonic 1 logo so the o-space is round in that one).

The villain of the new DB movie could be a chihuahua in a party hat stepping on bubble wrap and I'd still watch it if the setup leading into it is good.

Late game Ys VIII music spoiler. No details about the game enclosed.
Something about this song reminds me of Gamma's stages in Adventure, and Eggman's stages in Adventure 2. Possibly the dancy electronic stuff.
