  1. I’m curious but does anyone wanna see the super sonic story finale in the games again or you not care either way?

i could go either way. it all depends on how they build up to the finale and what they actually do in it.

just, next time they use super sonic, don't throw some completely different kind of gameplay at us. build off what the rest of the game is about. no more of this flying around shit.

I want, but just because the later games' ending that didn't had SS were shitty. Mania had both ways and both were good fights. But then again, it's MANIA, which was superior in EVERYTHING :V

I really don't mind. As long as the gameplay's good I'd be happy either way.

It's all in the execution - Super Sonic bosses can be really lame when the mechanics aren't good, but I'm also not a big fan of when they've given him regular Sonic's moveset like in Sonic Heroes - I didn't feel particularly powered up in that one.  Sonic Adventure is an exception - while the boss plays kinda clunky, the concept of a boss where your goal is to keep up your speed to damage the boss is a PERFECT finale for a Sonic game - I'm surprised they haven't tried this idea out again even once since.

I will say though that I'm fine with a surprise minigame Super Sonic finale if they can do a proper final exam boss beforehand using regular game mechanics that REALLY feels like a proper final boss first.

I think instead of a Super Sonic boss I want a Super Sonic level. The Doomsday throwback in Sonic Unleashed was such a tease and it's over in five seconds and then it's off to one of the absolute worst Super Sonic fights in series history

A regular platforming level with some flight segments as Supes could be really fun and way more enjoyable than a boss imo

It might be interesting if they switched it around. Make it seem like the Super Sonic boss is the last one, but surprise us with one last boss Sonic has to fight without being able to go super this time for whatever reason they come up with.

Yeah I would be absolutely fine with either of the above two subversions (though regular Sonic defeating a boss that Super Sonic couldn't would be a tricky needle to thread narratively - there is a risk of it coming off just weird and unsatisfying, like Super Sonic was never needed in the first place, if they don't find some gameplay mechanic that makes it feel like a struggle for the player.  Perhaps a boss that is pretty easy at first as Super Sonic, then becomes distinctly challenging when you can't fly up and homing attack the thing in the face anymore).

My idea was that the boss is thought to be defeated after Super Sonic fights it but returns in a weakened state that regular Sonic is able to handle.
