I say its a matter of how we, as humans, are so eager to conserve the every precious thing we can or try to possess. That's why so many people believe in going to Heaven or Hell, because they desire and wonder so deeply if there is a way to live after what supposedly is the end of life. It's why many want to prevent the Earth's environments from ever changing, or any kind of animal from going extinct. We just want to preserve the Earth and keep things the same, despite it facing many radical transformations in the billions of years before man was born.

Because we don't truly know how our existence will end, let alone how our existence even started, all we can do now is assume that there is an end, and we are not truly immortal. I know this might sound like nothing to do with revivals, but I felt there was a connection in there.

The mark of a brilliant creator is their ability to make something by scratch - celebrating properties rather than creators effectively stifles that. Why innovate when you can just ride one property until it dies?

It's for this reason I used to have a lot of respect for Platnium, even if I wasn't always into them on a personal level. Sure, people still praised the individual games they made, but above all else they had a reputation for turning everything they touched into gold, which I'd argue is a much more important trait for a developer than using one franchise as a crutch.

This right here is what's driving me insane lately.
