I can't think of a single time in Mania where it's actually possible to struggle with the 10 minute limit for levels that bad.

In fact the only time it's ever been an issue for me is Carnival Night on Sonic 3. How is Act 2 so goddamned long?

I once time overed in Flying Battery Act 2 and that was cuz I was looking for goodies and stuff. I get that arbituary time limits are arcadic as fuck but the game hands out lives like candy.

I'm not implying, "git gud" or anything but the game is way to generous with checkpoints for time overs to be an issue.

I don't mind the length of Mania's levels at all. In fact, I love them. But I've T time overed a lot. I don't know how other people play Sonic games, but I'm not one for speed running at all. I can't help but explore and set myself little challenges whilst playing. And the time limit gets in the way for that for absolutely no reason. I can just about let the tie limit for the stages slide, but as soon as you throw a boss fight into the mix it becomes bullshit. Get rid of the time limit. It's not necessary.

  4. I swear every passing E3 turns me away from closed consoles even more.

Can't really blame you, none of the console stuff was at all interesting without any actual good games to back it up (most of the interesting things I spotted in that conference are indies and I could just get those on PC).

That background image looks like it was taken from the teaser trailer of the first bayonetta game. So I'm guessing this is an old broken website link, right?

  5. It's sad that the content, writing/script, and fan service in the Sonic Lego Dimensions pack is so much better than any of the wank Sega has put out in fucking years.

Seriously Sega, hire the guys working on this or at least take some inspiration. Your current writers are shit.

I'm gonna cry me a river just knowing this

Lego is just too clever for Sega

from what i've seen it's basically boom-level writing with more references. which is fine for a goofy lego spinoff thing, but I struggle to see how it would be better for the main series than what we have now.

also keep in mind that sonic team did help with the lego sonic content. if anything I'm worried that project 2017 will get too much comedic focus in it at this point. (if something shows me sonic team can handle a more plot focused story then I won't worry about it as much)

      Hero of Legend

Yeah it's not anything major aside from some clever bits here and there, plus it's only like 7 minutes of cutscenes. It's nowhere near the humor of Lego City Undercover on Wii U, that's for sure.

Good to see you after like forever dude, how've you been?

  7. I have to say I really don't comprehend the whole ''vote leave to stick it to the elites'' angle I've been hearing. It makes no sense to me because not only will the elite be fine even if they do lose money, but all this is going to do is boost the tories ability to completely shaft these same Leave voters living in many poverty-stricken North England areas. Once again it'll be the poorest and most vulnerable people that feel the impact the most, more cuts to public services and benefits. They rally against the EU in an attempt to stick it to the tories only to let one sociopath clever enough to masquerade as a clown right into one of the top positions. And to think no election was necessary...but yet I still hear crap about the EU being undemocratic. I will never stop being angry at this giant fucking mess.
  8. Leave supporters atm: Going to try my hand at getting an Irish passport/citizenship thanks to my paternal side, to retain EU Citizenship. My father is trying too. http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/how-irish-passport-after-brexit-8274506 Have to say I'm really disappointed in my country at the moment, a campaign based on outright lies and hyperbole has won. There was a lot of misinformation spread around about the actual process in the EU, not just in the referendum period, but over the last few decades by British tabloids. Whilst there are certainly arguments to be made about how business is handled there, the overwhelming narrative that has been put forth by some parties is that the entire process is dictated in full by five faceless bureaucrats that no-one has any selection and control over, which isn't true in somewhat significant ways.
  9. Found a new interview today, it gives me some hope: Main things to take from it are... It isn't a MOBA All classic Quake modes including 1vs1 are available Weapon pick ups and map control still vital part of the meta Possibly more focused on Team vs Team for e-sports No way its going to get released for consoles, for maximum performance and capabilities, no consoles handicapping the game They will be taking opinions from veteran/pro quake players, some testing it themselves 120hz unlocked fps- strafe/rocket jumping and air control all key to the meta Classic arena style quake game with the addition of champions I'm cautiously optimistic, main concern being how these "champions" affect the game. Still have Unreal Tournament 4 and Quake Live to satisfy that arena shooter itch.
