I swear, My Hero Academia is utterly unparalleled in regards to how strong the first two episodes for a new TV show are
It hooks you on the story without the need of a complex (or even original) plot, explores the main character's psyche and rounds up essentially an entire first character arc, and just makes you want to root for him through with whatever comes his way, fleshes out several other characters and makes them appear relatable and human too, despite the overwhelming focus on the main character, and has moments that could be considered basically the pinnacle of what a "Hero" story should be about, without the need for any buildup, powers, or extremely tragic backstories, all while having a healthy dose of humor and just downright heart to it all that makes it pretty endearing. And overall, it's just so downright iconic. You think "My Hero Academia", and the first thing to come to mind are those two episodes and the events that transpired for the series to be a thing.
The rest of the show I mostly just find enjoyable, especially after watching it over about 4 times and seeing a lot of places it could have been better, but if there's anything left in the series that is going to top those first two episodes, I neeeeed iiiiiiiiiit
