  1. I think we can do better for a Sally fan game than that mini-series. If that were to ever actually be a thing, mind you...
  2. For fucks sake, I don’t want to play Raid: Shadow Legends! Can you fuck off of the ads for at least 10 minutes?!

And when I say “10 minutes” I really mean 10 months. This shit is nowhere near as interesting as Arknights anyway.

  3. All this talk about the source material is pretty nonsense when the Movie hardly stuck to it and defied expectations. Nevermind that every incarnation of Sonic played with the source and often did their own things, so it really comes off as looking for an excuse to complain.
  4. Cassandra Cain for DLC or this game can eat a big-ass batarang... I like the idea they have with co-op tho. That and the Court of Owl are the real highlights for me.
  5. Not an admin anymore?

  6. Yeah, they do. As far as Penders goes, they were made years before he was even brought onboard, so he couldn’t claim them if he wanted—and even he knows that.
  7. Anyone else sometimes check their calendar wondering if it’s 2006 again, or is that just me?

    1. Cuz

      Cuz

I missed the part of 2006 where the biblical plague was knocking at my door. It's a pretty stark reminder that this is a brand spanking new year.

But, I digress what about this hellscape reminds you yester year?

Oh, fuck. I should’ve been more specific—meant as far as the forum atmosphere.

My fault. Completely forgot about the crazy going on this year. No idea how I managed to tune that out.

  8. I don’t think you understood my point if you’re gonna make a strawman about preference over hypocrisy of people not growing up with a character and whether they’re from the games over other characters in the same boat—two things I directly pointed out in the same post you directly quoted. I’m talking Classic Sonic’s comeback general. Much the same way as the Freedom Fighters that you seemed dead set against. Don’t act like you didn’t know that, because I wasn’t talking about shoehorning him in games for no reason. Especially given this is a topic about a mobile side game with no canon whatsoever.
  9. I wonder if you would say this about Classic Sonic considering he ticks many of the same boxes? Which falls apart considering characters like Tangle and Whisper aren’t really game characters, nor did they grow up with them as they’re among the newest characters. And this hypocrisy isn’t lost on anyone, including the people making it. Which begs the question of why this is an excuse against Sally and the Freedom Fighters?
  10. I certainly would love to see her make a comeback, so why not? As doubtful as it may be, I’ve been surprised before.
  11. If I were to summarize... If you were to build an obstacle course/roller coaster with a bunch of fun things to play around, with the simple objective being to get from Point A to Point B, and my response is to not bother and simply fly over the course from A to B, then yes that is broken. There should be more incentives to travel through the course and consequences for just skipping the thing entirely to balance it.
  12. Japanese Whiskey is actually not that bad.

Although, I probably shouldn’t have picked up the one with the strongest kick, but so couldn’t help it. XD

Yeah, so think I’m gonna be drunk for for a while.

  13. Don’t know, and I’m not going to have another moment like 2016 where we thought Clinton had it in the bag until the shock came and assume who I think.
  14. I wonder how Naugus would’ve went out, knowing that? Would really like to see the Nocturnus tho. Is that still banned with IDW, or can they use it with their own liberties?
  15. Never though finding an artist available for commissions that can do whole cityscapes would be this hard.

      Polkadi~☆

Most artists who open up for commissions specialise in drawing characters, not backgrounds and locales.

What you look for is the exceptionally rare.

Off the top of my head YoshiUnity does good background work with his illustrations. If you want I can hit him up or if you have Twitter you might be able to contact him yourself.

I'd offer but I know my current limits and I'm going through a lot of stuff at the moment.

Oh I don’t doubt it. But the style I was going for was more in line with this example:

      image.jpeg.d0bd4f98fa9ce65cf0089c528acededd.jpeg

And I don’t want to come across as difficult in the event it’s not too my liking.

Yeah, I know it’s a tall as mountain to climb for a commission, but I’mma fucking climb that shit!

    4. Zaysho

      Zaysho

Yeah I definitely wouldn't have been able to do that if you asked lol

Sorry I don't really have any other leads. Might be worth checking artstation and seeing if you can find a painter you like to consult/get a quote from there. That looks like it'd become pretty expensive so I don't know if you should scale back your expectations

My budget for this work is at most $1.5K.

...no, I’m not made of money. I was planning this for a long ass time and saved up for it.

      Zaysho

Oh. Well I think you'll be fine if you check more concept art forums then haha

      Best of luck finding someone.

      Will do that. Thanks!

  16. Wouldn’t their plan still backfire given that these same people would just go to the polls and vote against them anyway? Not trying to downplay the pandemic, but I’m not seeing how their plan is actually going to work if the same people voting against them are still able to vote against them. Not like Texas will have any luck with vote-by-mail as it currently stands, and that’s a state Trump is dangerously close to losing. In other news, really loving how people who don’t know shit about geopolitics have been scared of China’s rise because they saw big numbers in their economy and though “oh no, they’re gonna rule the world” before now seeing what a paper tiger it really is.
  17. Because they don’t go back to the same things and the same criticisms. And you know it, so don’t pretend like you don’t see what the matter is. You’re not sly with that stunt you pulled—your so called “criticisms” we’re stirring the same flames that started at the very beginning of this thread before Issue 1 was even released. There have been plenty of discussions in this topic about the Freedom Fighters being involved or not and in new roles without backhanded comments like yours being made to stir up drama. So basically you were stirring the flames. Got it. You’re other things weren’t stirring any flames—that’s why that specific part got called out.
  18. Stop saying this like that’s actually going to happen. They don’t have to be the focus any more than literally any other character, and that can show up or be on the sidelines just as frequently—which they did numerous times back in Archie. Because leading a whole resistance/restoration organization was totally her role to begin with and not Sally’s. And, of course, that’s the only role Amy can ever have going for her despite the many other things she’s done in the same comic with Sally in it, and then some. Basically the exact same way she was the first time she was rebooted? Where she wasn’t Sonic’s love interest? And it’s not like we can’t have more than one leader of a group: Sonic, Amy, Knuckles, Vector, Rouge—all of these characters are leaders of their own teams and in some cases bigger organizations. Sally being one isn’t going to change anything more than what’s already here, and it’s blatantly dishonest to say such, especially when you’ve read Archie comics to know this. Like seriously, we’ve had a discussion about this earlier in this topic for you to pretend like this is something new to you. That you even admit to wanting them to be changed to the point their fans no longer enjoy and recognize them is you intentionally trying to stir things up.
  19. Long arcs aren’t exactly the problem—or at least they shouldn’t be, but misblaming things tends to be a bad habit among a lot of people. It’s really the pacing. Like, if the pandemic didn’t hit at the time it did, for example, the Metal Virus arc would’ve finished up sooner. And to further emphasize how long arcs aren’t bad, let’s not forget House of Cards and it’s problems—it’s among the shortest arcs written, and yet we’ve given it just as much flak as the Iron Dominion arc (which I actually liked, but can’t deny that it had a ton of issues).
  20. I want you and everyone else reading this comic and posting in this topic to remember this very statement from here on out.
  21. You know what’s funny? That was exactly what I did as a kid. Well, not exactly “throw away” (it was still Sonic, and I needed my fix), but let’s just say I’ve been content to have put it down in my boxes (where it still got torn and worn down—I was still a kid that didn’t know how to take care of his comics very well) and never remember much of it as the years passed. ...that is, until you started this whole shebang. And now I remembering all the crazy stuff this issue did. And to think I tolerated Sally Moon compared to this one.
  22. Whoever made this deserves a medal.

very smooth stuff, I watched this one yesterday.

  23. I mean, they no doubt kept in the licensing agreement that everything made for the comic is owned by Sega like they did with Archie, so it’s not like they can’t allow some creativity to go into things to make it more enjoyable. They’d benefit more from it considering how popular the writing is. Ian isn’t Penders, they don’t have to worry about him pulling the kind of stunt done well over a decade ago with his ideas.
  24. “It’s for kids” loses water mainly because adults want to enjoy these things with the kids. Kids can still play Sonic, but adult fans get upset because they want to enjoy playing Sonic too. It can still be aimed at children while being enjoyable for adults to watch. My Little Pony:FIM is aimed at girls, but made in a way boys and adults can still watch and enjoy without finding it grating as fuck. Multiple demographic appeal is much better and healthier for a franchise when it comes to an audience than one that caters strictly to a narrow one at the cost of annoying others who lay eyes on it. Not saying that adults don’t go to far with things—oftentimes adults tend to be far more zealous and immature about the quality of things than even 5 year olds who really just want to enjoy what they have, adult tastes be damned. But with that said, it’s not like they’re not fans who want to enjoy something they’ve been apart of, especially when that something is going 30 years strong.
  25. My opinion on the game hasn’t changed—I still find it decent, if flawed. The same can’t be said for the games that came after it that grew more faulty as they went on. EDIT—damn, my old review still stands strong even ten years later.
