Am I the only one around here still looking forward to Forces? Yes, it might not be the best Sonic game out there (lots of valid reasons that folks have made many, many times) and I absolutely want Sonic Team to do better, but I'm still excited all the same (even after playing the demo).

@Celestia - I can see what you mean. It does look like a step down from Generations, but I still think it's not going to be another '06.
@SonicWind - I'm going to do the same. It seems to be a polarizing one, but we'll see on the 7th.
Glad to know I'm in good company on Forces. Not going to get on anyone's case for not liking the game or anything, but some of the backlash has been a bit disheartening to say the least, as someone who is still looking forward to it.

That boss battle isn't the last you'll see of the Sonic balloon. He's also part of the balloon restoration in the Adventure World: It looks like Carnival Night Zone (They confirmed at one of the Gamescom streams (IGN's IIRC) that Sonic's Battle Arena is based off this zone) -

You never know. HiT Entertainment didn't make Pingu CG when they got the rights last decade, but then again, that was before the company decided to turn most of their major characters to CG. Good point. The fanboy in me would add what happened to Barney, but it's not animated (the one major HiT brand that isn't) and the changes to that show were mostly about the series' set, format, characters, and the purple guy's voice. Of course, there's the fact it went out of production unlike a number of the company's big franchises, being a live action show and all. Anyway, purple dino fanaticism aside, I can definitely understand why you guys would be upset about a beloved kid's TV icon essentially being bastardized for a new age. Honestly, while the premise reminds me of something like Smurfs or Alvin and the Chipmunks, at least this one's completely animated (and therefore, somewhat true to the series. Then again, being an American, I'm not familiar with Postman Pat really.)

No, neither Skylanders nor Disney Infinity use the NFC Reader. They both come with their own "portals" (or Infinity Base, in Infinity's case), just like the other console versions. Pokemon Rumble U is the only game that uses it currently.
