  2. Am I the only one around here still looking forward to Forces? Yes, it might not be the best Sonic game out there (lots of valid reasons that folks have made many, many times) and I absolutely want Sonic Team to do better, but I'm still excited all the same (even after playing the demo).

      Nope. I'm excited for it.

I'm looking forward to it as well!

I want to give it an honest chance.

I'll play it eventually. For my tastes (particularly when it comes to boost Sonic) it doesn't look terrible or anything, just a step back from Generations which is a real shame.

Nah. I 100% agree with you.

I'm definitely still impartial until I've played it so I'm excited for Tuesday! Four years since the last Modern game it's gonna be nice to be back in the swing of things again!

I'm excited for it, too. Always ready for more boost action!

      Crow the BOOLET

Sure. Its been a while since I last played a Sonic game. The fact that I can play as CROW is honestly the topping on the cake.

I'm still going to play the game and decide its quality for myself.

@Celestia - I can see what you mean. It does look like a step down from Generations, but I still think it's not going to be another '06.

@SonicWind - I'm going to do the same. It seems to be a polarizing one, but we'll see on the 7th.

Glad to know I'm in good company on Forces. Not going to get on anyone's case for not liking the game or anything, but some of the backlash has been a bit disheartening to say the least, as someone who is still looking forward to it.

  3. I was able to purchase it from GameLoft just fine. To be honest, I'm having a ball with it so far.

  5. And that's why LEGO Sonic Drift sucks! In all seriousness though, the 18th can't come soon enough.
  6. That boss battle isn't the last you'll see of the Sonic balloon. He's also part of the balloon restoration in the Adventure World: It looks like Carnival Night Zone (They confirmed at one of the Gamescom streams (IGN's IIRC) that Sonic's Battle Arena is based off this zone)
  7. The Wicked Witch and the Joker were both bosses, but still got their own figures. So, Eggman could very well be a figure down the line. As for Harry, people have dug through the game's recent update and found files for both Harry and Hermoine, so they're both confirmed for sure.
  8. Three new teasers for Dimensions hit today. This one (the fourth of the five teasers) is one I feel we're gonna go nuts about:
  9. I'm mixed on the idea. While KidZone is a good chunk of space, most of the attractions aren't THAT outdated (save for Fievel, kids likely still know the characters (particularly Curious George and Barney) and E.T. is a Universal classic). One attraction's closure is going to hit me the hardest though. "A Day in the Park with Barney" has remained my favorite attraction at Universal (unsurprising, being the SSMB's resident Barney fan and all). As such, in my opinion, it's going to suck when that closes down. Not just for grown fans like myself, but for preschoolers who are Barney's target audience (he's still beloved by young children, despite his popularity being no where near what it was 20 years ago when "A Day in the Park" opened), who won't have an attraction made with them in mind (and an oasis from the hustle bustle of the rest of the park). In addition, it's also one of the only things keeping the Barney franchise (which is getting the Mega Man treatment in America ever since HiT Entertainment was bought out by Mattel) alive in the US. Forgive me for my little fanboy rant, but I wanted to share my point of view of KidZone (particularly the Barney show) being torn down. I really do love Nintendo (and look forward to seeing what attractions they do), but the purple dinosaur means even more to me.
  10. My amiibo collection consists of: (The few that have nicknames have them next to the character name) Mario Pikachu (PikaDrew) Kirby Link Samus Fox* DK* Yoshi* Peach Villager* Marth* Wii Fit Trainer* Luigi (Weegee) Captain Falcon* Zelda Diddy Kong* Little Mac* Toon Link* Sheik* Bowser* Rosalina* Shulk* Sonic* Mega Man* (* = In the box. I really want to open these guys and play with them, but I'm not too sure about it (more so with the rarer ones like Marth and Little Mac). I don't care about resale value, considering I'm not planning to sell these. Still, I'm conflicted on the matter)

  14. You never know. HiT Entertainment didn't make Pingu CG when they got the rights last decade, but then again, that was before the company decided to turn most of their major characters to CG. Good point. The fanboy in me would add what happened to Barney, but it's not animated (the one major HiT brand that isn't) and the changes to that show were mostly about the series' set, format, characters, and the purple guy's voice. Of course, there's the fact it went out of production unlike a number of the company's big franchises, being a live action show and all. Anyway, purple dino fanaticism aside, I can definitely understand why you guys would be upset about a beloved kid's TV icon essentially being bastardized for a new age. Honestly, while the premise reminds me of something like Smurfs or Alvin and the Chipmunks, at least this one's completely animated (and therefore, somewhat true to the series. Then again, being an American, I'm not familiar with Postman Pat really.)
  15. No, neither Skylanders nor Disney Infinity use the NFC Reader. They both come with their own "portals" (or Infinity Base, in Infinity's case), just like the other console versions. Pokemon Rumble U is the only game that uses it currently.
  16. Hopefully, this will do. (Just beat 3D Sonic on the 3DS).
  17. Who knew that BlackBuster and I would actually agree on something? (Long story short, I have a really rough history with the guy, being a Barney fan and all. Yes, it was two years ago, but I'm still bitter over it.). Anyway, I agree with your points (and, reluctantly, his) entirely. Just because Lost World doesn't get the best reviews doesn't mean that we're going back to Sonic '06 levels of quality, mockery, etc.
  18. Funny enough, I once got a bootleg Tetris DS from GameStop. Most of the time though, second hand or not, it's usually legit. That said, games can slip through the cracks. EDIT: I misread the "new copy" part of Blue Blood's post, so I've removed my quote of his post.

  20. Sadly, Lost World isn't one of the games for the Best Buy event. Hogfather was refering to the Spike TV presentation later today.
  21. Thanks for catching that. I was refering to Barney the Dinosaur. I put a video there, but it didn't show up until now. Again, thank you for noticing that I forgot something.
  22. There's one voice actor that I feel deserves some recognition. It's none other than Bob West Bob has done voice work in various commercials, TV shows, and even for Chuck E. Cheese's restaurants. But if there's one role you'd know him for, it's this guy:

  24. Happy birthday, Verte. Hope it's great. =D

  25. My Nintendo Network ID is, unsurprisingly, SonicHOG. I'm starting to add people from here as well (I already sent a request to King Of Awesome)
