Yup, I remember waking up at like 7 am right before going to homeroom and seeing that  Sonic crossover video on Smash Dojo. That shit was hands down the biggest reveal for a game in my entire life. It also produced one of my biggest headaches ever because of how it was so monumental and unprecedented. Many heads in my school was absolutely geeked out af seeing that, too lol. It just made that moment so much more special.

Ooh I forgot Chun-Nan Night, which is a testament to it's underratedness.  I tend to always think of the typical default atmosphere of the day theme when I think of that town, but the night theme is seriously gorgeous, especially with those vocals and how they end the song all special on the soundtrack version.

Idk if this is underrated (It might be cause it's a werehog stage) but this shit SLAPS hard

StriCNYN3 reacted to Indigo Rush in I know it's a beaten horse, but I'm just annoyed at how much the game series retreats
What I appreciate about Sonic Adventure is that you weren't simply returning to Ice Cap Zone, but you were exploring Angel Island as a whole. They were fleshing out an existing location with old areas (the inside portion of Red Mountain could be part of Lava Reef) and new areas (Windy Valley, Lost World) rather than non-contextual Zones like Forces' use of GHZ and CPZ without any respect to their original locations on the map.

(checks it out in my own region) Yeah, you're right. You get more for Knack than Gears of War: UE.
Ah... I think I might know why and this is a hunch. It's not rare, obscure Japanese made game and its not a Nintendo game but family focused games tend to be worth more. So stuff like Lego games, Crash and Spyro, Sonic, Marvel superhero games and even some racing games are worth more to a store even if there are plenty of copies when compared to your Uncharteds, Assassin Creeds or anything that gets a M rating where there's plenty of copies but not as much demand past its first few years so they drop like a rock. There are exceptions of course such as when a Call of Duty might rise in price if it is on Xbox One backwards compatibility, most Rockstar games usually have some value and even though kids play on them, soccer games apart from the latest ones have very little value.
At least its not the 360 ones where the Gears of War series are worth as much as a soccer game.

I think people would be less bothered about another Sonic-centric racer if it was actually doing something substantially different, rather than looking like a unofficial ASR3 in its design. Like if it actually was a on-foot racer a la the Boost gameplay or Sonic R, or went back to the Riders series with the extreme sports hoverboard gameplay. They could had even kept Sonic and co. in cars as long it was still substantially different gameplay approach. The focus on having co-operative play doesn't sound bad, but the game doesn't really seem like anything that couldn't had been done with a straight ASR sequel.
It's like how Colors DS is mechanically a third Sonic Rush, but the focus is clearly shifted towards a different approach to the point that people don't agree with those who consider it a proper sequel that's merely under a different name.

I can never truly decided between these two, so I'm gonna have to cheat and say it's either Sonic CD's Quartz Quadrant Present theme or SA2's ending credits piano theme as both being my number 1.

Oh, I see. Sorry to hear.
When you say "ideas warping and fading", do you mean like when you're in the middle of drawing, you kinda just "forget" the whole picture you're trying to draw, or like you don't know what to add next when you get a part of it done if you can even start, because if so, I get like that still. Heck, I'm actually in the middle of that right now, haha.
I feel like I've definitely gotten a lot better at it though by just constantly studying other people's art and just real life stuff in general a lot more often just to really know what I want. Even if you feel like you truly got it and done enough studying, I'd say just keep on referring to other people's stuff still.  Speaking for myself, I used to think I was top shit after looking at people's stuff for like days and weeks on end (for like say, studying anatomy and color theory and all that stuff), but then soon as I'd get on that paper... I wouldn't know what the hell to do next, haha. It just takes time to learn and to fully grasp whatever you're trying to draw. Eventually, somethings gonna click if you just really keep at it, and you'll get better keeping those visuals in your head for you to plot it on paper and tackle the next thing you need to work on.
But yea, since it sounds it's getting stressful, maybe a quick little hiatus will ease the mind. Hope whatever you choose works out best for you.

Hey, sounds like it's just one of those artist block days. Whenever I get in my feelings with that, first and foremost, I try to remember to just chill and have fun with it, and then just keep reiterating and reiterating whatever I'm sketching til I get the right set of lines I'm looking for, because, at least in my mind, something's gotta look good on that blank space eventually simply based on process of elimination haha.
And if today's just not the day, just relax and try again another time. Maybe look at other people's stuff to get an idea of what you're actually looking for in your own art in the meantime, and maybe by then you might get your "2nd wind" and come back stronger with a clearer mind that way.
That's just me though, and I'm definitely not the best advice giver, but maybe these could be some things to consider if you haven't heard this already.
Music can get the art vibes going, too if you're down with that. I know it definitely gets me going, especially if its a new song.

StriCNYN3 got a reaction from RedFox99 in Do you guys feel that Sonic's friends were useful in Forces? Please no snarky comment
Nah, not really. I think the only one who at least conveyed was actually part of a resistance was Silver, which is funny because he shouldn't even have been in the game in the first place. Every one else was literally interchangeable and throwaway in what they "say" they were contributing in. It made no difference whether they were Sonic's main posse or the common animal army, they were all mostly irrelevant.
I still find it crazy how it took Knuckles 6 months to find some random guy with a hook aka Avatar to surveillance Eggman's base, yet he has 3 detectives / spies, one who can literally turn invisible FFS, right in his very base the entire time, Espio and the Chaotix... Like come on, man lol. Everyone is so underutilized with their most basic attributes that I swear Sega has no clue who they're even animating. Or maybe they already do, but they had to push the Avatar's importance so high in order for this game to sell, but at the expense of these already established characters.

Coming in to say the same. Not the best arc in retrospect, but to me that's only because the show just kept getting better and better as it went on. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Also, that first glimpse of how crazy and irrationally determined Gon can be during the last episodes of the arc was what really got me hooked on the show.

@The Deleter I'd give it the benefit of a doubt since this promotion was most likely recorded in 30 fps purposefully just to give off a more cinematic feel. That new Mario game was shown off on the big screen, too, and that was looking like it was running at the same rate as Zelda BOTW on the handheld version. and I suspect Mario shouldn't have any problem going at 60 fps from there, especially when Nintendo usually thrives for those frame rates.
