  1. As much as I loved the Adventure games, they just feel so aged now. In fact, all 3D Sonic games prior to UnleasHD feel aged.

I feel the same way about Heroes. I really like that game, but damn, it aged like crap in the gameplay department. Probably one of the buggiest Sonic games out there.

I'm pretty sure most games from that era has visually aged to some extent.

      What Soni said.

Yeah, definitely agree with that. I think SA2 and Heroes has some pretty looking environments and the models are pretty decent as well (minus the huge amount of shine on the Heroes' models.) Kinda makes me wish for a Heroes HD rerelease.

Heroes HD would make me cry from joy. That game is beautiful. It's the only one that I'd argue hasn't really aged visually, since it still has pretty nice designs and stuff.

Not just visually, but as a whole.

Friendly reminder that Unleashed is still the best looking game we have and it's about to turn 8 years old.

I was literally just thinking that. We're heading into 2017, yet it still feels fresh.

When it comes to games aging, it's pretty much about its visuals and presentation. Gameplay can't really age....

I guess what people considered to be fine back when that game was out is now looked down upon in modern times, but that's a bit of a stretch still.

I mean, Mario 64 is still considered to have the best 3D controls for a Mario game by a good amount of people.

@Soni I'd argue that Gameplay can age depending on its platform. Some problems, such as limited view in Sonics Game Gear games, were pretty unavoidable due to the capabilities of the Gamegear. I'm sure that extends to core mechanics and programming of games as well.

Gameplay can definitely age. Going back to play GoldenEye after modern shooting conventions have developed is lol.

I have to disagree. Gameplay can definitely age. Movement, gameplay mechanics, etc has drastically changed since the early 2000's. What was acceptable back then can feel outdated now. The way Sonic moves and controls in the Adventure games was good in concept, but feels unpolished and underdeveloped compared to recent titles. I'd like to see a modern take on the Adventure formula.

Ok, I get it now. Nevermind me, being a stoop as always.
