  1. Do any of you fine SSMBers have visions and hear sounds when you're in the state between awake and sleep? I do. Not all the time, just every once and a while. Usually hear voices, but often unable to make sense of them. Sometimes, I see stuff, but almost always giant white spiders. Occasionally, will even get up and try to kill them. Though, the sounds of slapping nothing usually wakes me up completely (or enough to realize there's no spider.)

My sleep sessions range from boring to eearie depending on how you see things, because i've stopped dreaming (or at least remembering dreams) a long time ago. It's practically a coma now, i go to sleep, black out and then 5 minutes later is the next day.

      Indigo Rush

Not too often, but usually when it happens, it's because I've not had enough sleep and am having trouble actually resting. That in-between state of lucidity is uncomfortable, second only to sleep paralysis

  2. I'm of the opinion of, "Yeah. Sure. He looks better. Cool. That's it." This movie looks plagued with more problems than just how ugly Sonic was. I expect it to have its typical live-action/CGI licensed product issues. Stupid jokes (I expect at least one poop joke), story more focused on the human character and his human life and somewhere there's going to be a relationship subplot, and weird dance numbers.
  3. I just saw Chonkichu and Long-Meowth. 10/10

  4. Honestly, Speed Highway's theme is probably my favorite Sonic Adventure stage music.

I find myself saying "up and down and all around" quite a bit with things.

  5. Why does my bank's outsourced card security department's hold music sound like Sonic stage music?

  6. The two most essential characters in any series are the protagonist and the antagonist. And the antagonist are more important than the protagonist as they give reason for the protagonist to do anything. Action causes reaction. Reaction wouldn't exist without action. Arguably, the only thing I can think of more important than the antagonist is the world they both exist in. Yes, you could replace the antagonist with a new one. You could do the same with the protagonist. You're pretty likely to piss off a lot of people in either case. This is something I see a lot of people do. Try to change him into something he's not... Or replace him with someone that fits their desires. I don't get it. Uniqueness is a problem, apparently. Either case, I wouldn't want to replace him. I'd just like him to be less of a punching bag for everyone else. Villains and heroes alike.

  13. For the longest time since I owned a beefy PC, I said I struggle to see the difference between 60 fps and 144 fps. Kept preaching that until recently. I had Fallout 3 locked to 60 because there was dialogue issues going above that. Then I jumped to New Vegas which I had unlocked more freely since there's less issues in there. I immediately felt the difference. But gotten used to that. New Vegas has less issues but there's bouncing NPCs when you go above 60 fps there, eventually grew tired of the bouncing NPCs, relocked that and immediately felt the difference again.

I mean, I can get used to it. I can get used to 30 fps. But for the longest time, claimed I couldn't tell the difference. Guess you can really feel it immediately.

  18. Adding my two cents. Two and a half. I'm not entirely sure how the Impeachment stuff is done, I was waaay too young to care about the Clinton blowjob thing, but I do have worries that the majority controlled Senate get to dictate what happens. Like, sure they'll let the Democrats have a "say" but they'll still control the narrative, how evidence is presented, and how much goes through. Basically, worried about McConnell will turn this around and make it look, at best, "Trump did minor stuff, no big deal. Coffee level bad deeds," to at worst "DEMS ARE OUT TO HURT THE PRESIDENT." If both sides are at least able to present all their points to the public, I can at least take solace in that. Obviously, no way Republican senators are gonna support impeachment when their seats are up for grabs next year -- even though, let's be honest, most of them are safe. McConnel's been there forever, not like Kentucky's gonna elect a Democratic senator. I dunno. Certainly a helluva time to start this stuff. Kinda wondering how this will trinkle down to the coming governor races, like Bevin vs Beshear.
  19. Sonic Team, SEGA, Iizuka, whoever has honestly stopped caring for any narrative sense for quite a while. Whether that's pressure from Classic fans and reviewers, pitiful sales of current titles, or the somewhat recent turn on the Adventure titles from some fans (while still being treasured by the other, kinda pulling a John Cena there) -- maybe all of it. At this point, they're just throwing things against the wall and seeing what happens. I dunno, Sonic has felt very shallow for the longest of time. Shallow since at least Colors. It has all the coating of things to enjoy but none of the depth or understanding. Plotwise, that's evident in both Lost World and Forces. Gameplay, I feel like boosting is just a crutch for Sonic and since Lost World failed pretty badly, they had a panic attack and went back on it. Either case, there's no heart put into these titles. "Things happen but they don't," that's really the best way I can describe Sonic plots. Hell, maybe Sonic gameplay. Personally, I checked out a little bit after my knee-jerk reaction to Generations faded. Second round, there was really nothing special about it.

  23. Every so often I like to replay the main Fallout series -- 1, 2, 3, New Vegas, and 4. I'm more of a classic Fallout fan despite 3 being my introductory game.  But I beat 2, moved onto 3. I decided to drop some stuff at Craterside Supply and get my armor repaired. Came up to the door and just find Billy Creel staring at the window while holding his gun out.... Billy, buddy, what'cha doing?
