    Day 18: Favorite Protagonist.

Mine would have to be good old Green himself

Luigi is my favorite brother. I have no idea why really, I just love Luigi. He is the timid and shy brother, but will step up, no questions asked, when he needs to. The Luigi's mansions games really put that fact of his to light as he jumps in to save Mario, taking on King Boo, arguably Luigi's arch nemesis.

I just love that this timid and shy character can become a force to be reckoned with in times of need. i find him really relatable and you really just can't help but love WeeGee + He is the badass Mr. L!

    Honourable Mentions

    Sonic because...well duh!

Link - Again, im not too sure why, I love how in a lot of the games its a boy who runs into the trouble and ends up intwined with the villian for one reason or another.

Fox McCloud - this guy was tied for first but Luigi just pushed forward. I love this guys calm head in most situations, plus he is an ace pilot and genuinely cares for the members of his crew.

    Day 16: Most Tragic/Saddest moment

I think someone has already used this answer before me but mine has to be

    Rosalina's Story - Mario Galaxy
Now Mario games are not known to be story heavy (aside from the RPG's) or have a particularly complex plot. SO you can imagine my surprise when I found the little storybook that Rosalina read to her children, a really sweet story that does bring a little tear to your eye. Its not untill you realise that it is actually about Rosalina and her family and her beginning the life of the Observatory.

    The saddest part? Chapter 7
You find out that Rosalina left behind her Father and Brother to help the Star Child search for its mother, why? Because she knows what its like to not have a mother.

"But I know shes not there! I knew all along that she wasn't out there in the sky! Because...because..."

"She's sleeping under the tree on the hill!"

    That's right, Rosalina's mother died
She is travelling with the lumas so they are not without a mother, like she is.

Im going to let that sink in.

This really hits me hard, possibly because I know what it is like to loose a mother.
This really is the saddest moment I have ever seen in a game.

Looks dull. At least it's almost certainly fake.

Whatever the next Zelda ends up being, I hope it doesn't try to look super realistic. I've always preferred the more stylized games.

    Day 15: Favorite Moment

hmm, trying not to mention a game I have already mentioned but I have LOADS of favorite moments from various games, I think one would definately have to be the cutscene at the beginning of "The Fate of the Universe"

    Jump to about 5:00
this whole level is just memorable for me.

infact just put my answer as pretty much any final level. They are usually tense and heroic and you just feel really awesome completing them! especially if you can do it without getting hit or by pulling off a hard shortcut or something.

    Honorable Mentions
Okami, I believe I mentioned this bit in the earlier massive Okami post

    Skyward Sword
Probably the best cutscene in Skyward Sword, only part better is "The Horde" Boss battle

    You've missed the point entirely.

People are suggesting that different characters should be "alternate costumes."

I'm explaining to you, as others have explained before me, that it is not the same thing. These characters have identities, and you can't change that identity. If you don't know the difference between a character/identity and a costume/skin, then I don't know what to tell you.

    Day 13: Most Disappointing Game

I need to stop doing these so late in the morning. Eventually I'm going to screw up and forget a day. But yes, my most disappointing game?

    Super Mario Galaxy 2.

And the thing is, there's nothing overtly wrong with the game. It's as technically impressive and solid as the first one was, so I'd be hard-pressed to call it a bad game on those merits. But indeed, its sheer similarities to the original Galaxy was exactly what was wrong with it. People were super-hyped for a second Galaxy game, Yoshi was finally back, and I had nothing else to play for a minute. But the longer I went on through this game, the more I felt like I had just put down $60 for an expansion pack (again, a good expansion pack, but an expansion pack nonetheless), so much so that it baffles me that anyone can actually forge a severe preference between the two. Revisited level themes, a major lack of Yoshi than I expected, the same bosses, Rosalina was gone. It felt like the bare minimum for a sequel.

I suppose at that point, I had expected major Mario games to be really special, once-in-a-generation experiences, and the lack of time between the two didn't dull my appreciation for the original into nostalgia and thus longing for more of the same or better, nor did it even bother to temper my expectations that Galaxy 2 needed to reinvent the platforming wheel as other Mario games had. That, compounded with the massive hype and praise regardless, as well as the decidedly cold and charmless map that made the experience feel that much more cobbled together from lost ideas, and this game ended up exhausting me. And the main Mario series hasn't recovered those good graces since. I have literally lost actual desire to play Mario platformers, a feeling that's comparable to when Pixar shoved out fucking Cars 2. Galaxy 2 was a demarcation line between the appearances of Nintendo's production: what felt like artistic craftsmanship immediately turned into mass production based on chasing down lightning strikes.

Day 12: fondest next gen experience

For this one I'm going to have to go with...

    Super Mario Galaxy

This game seriously blew me away when I played it, sure it wasn't Wii Sports or Zelda, but when I bought it and put in my in my Wii I had to sit through a system update, adding to the suspense. My dad had allowed me the use of the huge family TV and so I started it up and right from the title screen the game makes a presence.
I started to play. Mario moved and jumped so smoothly, te controls were responsive, the graphics were amazing, the music, top notch, the whole premise of the game just blew me away, then I got the spin power and it just fitted like the last piece of the puzzle. A simple mechanic that works perfectly with the Wii, but doesn't seem tacked on, didn't seem gimmicky, wasn't just "waggle". Tat entire game blew me away EVERY time I played it, and it still does now

    Day 10: Most immersive Game

hmm fro this one i am going to have to choose an absoulte STAR of a game!

    Mario Galaxy

This game just...wow. When you are playing it you really feel like you are on this interstellar adventure, hopping from planet to planet, crawling over giant bees, becoming a boo, even skating over ice. The attention to detail really pulls you into the game and the simple yet effective and easy to master controls become second nature so that you can forget you are even pressing buttons and shaking the Wii Remote. The lore of the story, although not huge, pulls you in and gets you invested into the story and into finding out more about Roaslina.

Special mention goes to Skyward Sword which i was really immersed in, again the story really drags you into the game and the controls really do make you feel like you yourself are slaying all the enemies and bosses

Jolt_TH reacted to Sean in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire [3DS Hoenn Remake, November 2014]
So what if OmegaRuby and AlphaSapphire seem like remakes at first and everything is the same except characters occasionally have faint memories of deja vu, and towards the end of the game after the gen3 trio has settled down, they realize that they've been re-living the exact same events as in Ruby/Sapphire and somehow space and time had been altered, and rather than challenge the Elite Four as usual the protagonists embark on a last quest to take down Cyrus, the true villain of the game who once again is trying to take advantage of Dialga and Palkia for his own means, and Team Aqua and Magma join forces with you to do battle with Team Galactic

OmegaRuby and AlphaSapphire are in fact sequels to the original games and Diamond/Pearl and will also set up gen4 remakes at the very end, mark my words

That made way more sense in my head than in this post

    Thanks Soniko for the badges!

Umm, my preference would be the Modern badges thanks Kiah

My favorite question would have to be both the one about combining the sonic stories, as it really made me think and try to be creative with something already established, it was a nice curveball, and the music question as music is a huge passion of mine and being able to give feedback on my 5 favorite tracks from my favorite games was not only fun but made me really think about it aswell.

Thanks to everyone involved, Dr. Crusher, Kiah and Verte, thanks to you guys this event managed to happen (almost) without a hitch and im glad for the opportunity to have shared my views and opinions as well as having them challenged by some of the questions.! You guys are awesome in my book!

And on that note of Crusher's grand (and beautiful) finale, it's FINALLY time to bring your attention towards the badges!

    So let's do this!

    "Kiah, where is my badge?!"

You don't know how many times I have been asked this question to some capacity in the past 2 days...anyway, there's a reason why I haven't given them out yet and that's because I need your help actually. I need your help in telling me...which badge you want to have.

YES! You have a choice for which type of badge that you want to be awarded!

Courtesy of our our own Lady Soniko (before the current name change she was just Lady Soniko lol), she was kind and awesome enough to create sets of badges featuring both Classic and Modern Sonic:

Modern Set:   Modern Sonic Silhouette=for participating 10-19 days in the 30 Days of Sonic   Adventure Sonic Head=for participating 20-29 days in the 30 Days of Sonic   Modern Super Sonic=for participating ALL 30 days in the 30 Days of Sonic   Classic Set:   Classic Sonic Silhouette=for participating 10 days in the 30 Days of Sonic   Classic Sonic Head=for participating 20 days in the 30 Days of Sonic   Classic Super Sonic=for participating ALL 30 days in the 30 Days of Sonic   Now as for the Bonus Day badge:

    Sonic Boom Style

Please be sure to thank Lady Soniko when you get the chance as she definitely didn't have to do all of this with giving you choices for your badges. That was extremely kind and thoughtful of her.

EDIT: In regards to how many badges you are awarded: you get one badge from the set of your choice depending on how many days you successfully participated in, plus the Boom badge if you did ALL the questions for the bonus day. I'm assuming I didn't make this very clear the first time around and I apologize for that.

Now, in regards to informing me of your preference for badges, there are several ways to go about this:

    1. Send me a PM with your preference. Although there is a risk of me overlooking it due to me currently having to tend to so many PMs

    2. Hit me up on Skype if in fact you have my Skype address

    3. Send me a message via my Profile feed here with whichever you prefer

    4. Make a post here in this topic with your preference (which I honestly think is the best option and the easiest for me to keep track of everything)

For those that will go about this via my preference of giving your choice via a post in this thread (option #4), posting something like this:

    "Hey Kiah,

I want the Classic/Modern badges. kthxbai"

NO. That's not going to fly as SPAM is SPAM, no matter how you slice it. So to prevent that from occurring, here is something that both Crusher and I would like you all to do with your posts:

In addition to your request for which badges you prefer (be it Classic Sonic or Modern Sonic), we would like for you to tell us which out of the original 30 questions was your favorite and why. This may be different or not different, but also out of all the posts that you made in this event, which one did you enjoy writing the most? For the latter question you can give a link to your post.

The reason I am bringing this last question up is because this event has over 3,000 posts in it and with it moving so rapidly it was very easy for members' awesome posts to get buried in this thread. Now because of my obligations for the badges, that required me to read every single post in this thread and there were a ton of excellent ones I'm afraid that didn't get a chance to be seen and shine due to the rapid pace of this event. So here's your chance to make that happen for at least one of them.

Oh, and because I can so see it coming from someone, don't give some rude, "witty" or obnoxious answer such as "none" for the questions of the favorite question of the event and the favorite post you made or any other answer along those lines. If you can't answer the question in decent manner then please don't bother answering at all and I mean it.

And finally, if you like, this is your last chance to give final thoughts, shout-outs, whatever you like if you haven't done so already. Or if you have done it already feel free to do it again as we are definitely wrapping things up here.

Now that said, please make your choices by Saturday evening around 9 PM Eastern Time as that is the estimated time to completely wrap this event up and I will start giving out badges shortly thereafter. If, for some reason I give you the wrong badge, be the 10 Day one instead of the 30 Day one that you earned for example, or a Classic Sonic badge instead of a Modern Sonic one or vice versa, please let me know right away via PM. The only thing is that I ask for you to be civil about it and don't bite my head off due to me making a mistake. In my defense, I am currently working with 2 different 30 Day events simultaneously on top of working a full-time job while doing this. So yeah, me making a mistake or two is highly likely actually.

Okay everyone, this is the last thing required of you for this event so let's do it and let's have fun with it as well!

Jolt_TH reacted to Dr. Crusher in Dr. Crusher Presents: The 30 Days of Sonic the Hedgehog (sponsored by PowerVerte)-Fin, PAGE 150
First off, allow me to give my own thoughts on these questions, like I promised.

Crusher's Thoughts: Get a load of this.

Bonus Question #1: This was a tough one for me, because I love many of the Classic soundtracks, including both versions of Sonic 1, both versions of Sonic 2, both soundtracks for Sonic CD, and especially the Genesis/Mega Drive soundtrack of 3D Blast (not that I mind the Saturn/PC one either). But after thinking long and hard about it, I decided to go with Sonic 3 & Knuckles. It's one of those soundtracks that fit my own tastes perfectly. The zone music, the boss music, the Special and Bonus Stage music, the menu music, the famous Act Complete music... it's great. All great. I love all of it. (And yes, I still love Ice Cap. I apologise if that's too mainstream for you silly billies.)

Bonus Question #2: This was another tough one for me, because I also love many of the Modern soundtracks, including the first Adventure, Colours, Unleashed, Lost World, the Advances and Rushes, and even Sonic '06. But after thinking long and hard about this, I decided to go with Sonic Generations. Yes, 95% of it consists of remixes, but you know what? In my opinion, music is music, and that's all that matters to me. The remixes within Generations are fantastic, with my personal favourites including Modern Chemical Plant, Classic Speed Highway, both Crisis City tracks... and those are just my favourite level themes. Everything else - big or small - is also wonderful to hear, and the few non-remix bits of music are really nice as well. (And yes, I like the Time Eater themes. I apologise if that's too hipster-ish for you silly billies.)

Bonus Question #3: I'll get this out of the way... I have a few. Not millions or anything, just one or two here and there for when I feel a new character would actually be required in a scenario. And I don't feel bad for it, because while I'm not saying that any of them are masterpieces by any stretch of the imagination, I think I've done an okay job with them... Hopefully. But for the sake of not being here all day, I'll talk about one fancharacter in particular. Beware however, for there are spoilers for a story that I'll hopefully get to post on here one day.

Bonus Question #4: I reckon the Iblis Biter would win. They are equally matched, but the Black Warrior would let the heat of the desert get to him, and so he would combust into flames. The Iblis Biter would then cheer, grateful for it's own ability to resist combusting into flames due to already being set on fire, and he would gather his identical friends around to do the Thriller in celebration.

    Bonus Question #5: Oooooohhhh...

It's no secret that I'm a goon who gets nervous very easily. As such, the fact that I even have friends on SSMB is a Herculean miracle from my point of view. Members like Tara, KnucklesGirl, Briraka, SheWhoRantsTooMuch, Homem, Cake... and two other members who I'll bring up later... I feel that they have helped my experiences in this place. If I didn't mention you by name, I sincerely apologise for my tomfoolery, for I don't wish to make you feel left out. But many of you - many, many, many of you - have been friendly, thoughtful, and generous to me, and from what I can see, it's all sincere. So... thanks. Thanks a lot. I mean it.

    And with that...

    ~SSMB Has Cleared Extra Quintuple!~

    ...

Well. Here we are. It's the end of the road. For a whole month (and a little extra), I typed up all these ridiculous posts filled with questions, and you answered each and every single one of them (or just some of them, I dunno). It was a tough time for me in all honesty. Choosing the questions, making up some other questions, posting the questions, that one week in which I was unwell... It was hectic, not gonna lie. However, despite this, I don't regret making this topic, because not only did I hopefully give you guys enjoyment with all of this, but more personally, I feel that I have grown a little more confident by setting this up, even if only slightly. I got to be in my own element a little more, if that makes sense. So... that's cool, I guess.

But this isn't about me, of course it isn't. No, it's about you. You gave me all your answers, you gave me all your viewpoints, and you gave me all your similarities and differences. And indeed, this is exactly why a good number of the questions that I asked were not the expected ones. Because I wanted to see the opinions that perhaps weren't brought up that often. I wanted to find a way to make this topic stand out, you know? Because I felt that giving you the same generic questions all the time wouldn't be fair for you guys. You deserve something different, and I... hope I provided that. If I didn't, I understand. At least I tried.

But before I go, there are two members in particular who I would like to thank. Yes, it's those two members that I said I would bring up later on. Clever, isn't it? Ye-...n-no, it isn't.

If it wasn't for Kiah, this would have been much more difficult for me, not just in regards to maintaining the topic and watching over the badges and tallying all the answers and everything else, but also for... well, talking to me. Whenever I had ideas or suggestions, or when something was bugging me, Kiah was always there... Not that this is any different from how she is in general, but it was especially helpful during the time of this topic's creation and maintaining. I know I've never been the best at talking, but I want it to be made clear that I'm incredibly grateful for Kiah's assistance. Thanks for sticking with me throughout the whole thing, Kiah. And also for being a super magical friend of excellence, of course.

While it was me who volunteered to make the topic and the questions and all that business, it was not me who came up with the initial concept of a 30 Days of Sonic. The person who came up with the concept was Vertekins. She had asked if anyone else wanted to have a go at it, and I decided that this would be up my street, because hey, maybe I could make something that wasn't shit for once. Whether I succeeded in that goal or not, I also wanted to do this for Verte as a personal thank you, because of her being there for me countless times. I always wanted to do something in return, and so, while I would have went through with this idea anyways, it was that wish that helped in giving me the motivation to pull off something so big. Thanks for coming up with the core concept that eventually resulted in this topic, Verte. And also for being another super magical friend of excellence, of course.

I could go on and on, but I would be repeating myself at this point. I have enjoyed making this topic, and I hope you guys and girls have enjoyed taking part in it. You all helped in completing this topic, and so, what else is there to say, but...

Thank you for your participation in the 30 Days of Sonic the Hedgehog.

    And so... until next time...

    ...Goodbye.

This ability is really awesome, you can make pretty much anything you want and the more people you have the bigger and more powerful it is! In the game alone you have a giant hand, a sword, a whip, a gun, a hammer, a bomb, a glider, a spring, a ball, a set of claws...the possibilites really are endless.

    Jumping (Mario Series)

Jumping, making Mario jump into the air, whats so great about it?

Aside from being his only attack without a suit its much more than a mere press of a button. With Mario his jump is an art form. He has such a wide variety of jumps, backflip, side flip, wall jump, long jump, spin jump and the iconic triple jump. With Mario, his jump just flows, it goes from one to the other seamlessly, flawlessly, it really flows. Games like 64, Sunshine and Galaxy really make you appreciate Mario's jumping ability and the wide range of movement it allows him to have, there are so many shortcuts and secrets you can access just by using a certain jump or combination of jumps. Its simple, but its just so good.

    Bonus Day!

Hmm I wasn't suspecting this (ok a little but not much!)

Bonus Question #1: What's your top favourite soundtrack from a CLASSIC game?
Definitely has to be Sonic 3 & Knuckles for me. I has loads of great tunes like Hydrocity Zone, Flying Battery and Sky Sanctuary (<3). I love how each act has a slightly different tune which builds on the one from Act 1.

Bonus Question #2: What's your top favourite soundtrack from a MODERN game?
Hmm, I would say Generations, but that seems a little easy. So i'll say its a draw between Adventure and Unleashed. Unleashed is great and contains a wide variety of music and instruments while Adventure just fits. These soundtracks gave us tunes such as Sky Deck A Go Go! Mechanical Resistance, Cool Edge and Rooftop Run.

Bonus Question #3: Have you ever created your own fancharacter, and if so, what are they all about?
Yes I have, he was a green hedgehog with Tails' little fringy bits, a red full length coat, fingerless gloves and a sword. He was my first fancharacter and has gone through many revisions, firstly just being a straight up recolour of sonic. I really need to update him sometime soo. He has a sword that he can uses to attack and Jewels that he uses in his shoes, similar to those from 06 (but not broken). He had a backstory involving my friend's FC where both of their homes were attacked by an evil group and his brother was thought to be killed along with many others. In the end he finds the group and fights one of their higherups who turns out to be his brother who had lost his memory, but had been getting it back slowly and after fighting he remembers and they reunite to take down the group. Yeah it wasnt very good but I was proud of it at the time.

Bonus Question #4: If a Black Warrior and an Iblis Biter engaged in a standoff in the style of Sergio Leone's Once Upon a Time in the West, who would be the last one standing?
Obviously they would both loose to the might of Dr. Crusher!
seriously though the Black Warrior can use weapons and appears to be a faster moving target, while the Iblis Biter could just be reincarnated again and again. Hmm I think this is probably going to go to the Black Warrior because they can use ranged weapons and are slightly faster.

Bonus Question #5: Who would you say are your best/closest/etc friends on the Sonic Stadium?
Hmm, im ashamed to say I don't really know many of the members here all that well, i'd probably say Ogilvie, Mando, Jova and Super Soniko. Of course its not just limited to those guys I love you all!

This ability is really awesome, you can make pretty much anything you want and the more people you have the bigger and more powerful it is! In the game alone you have a giant hand, a sword, a whip, a gun, a hammer, a bomb, a glider, a spring, a ball, a set of claws...the possibilites really are endless.

now my other favorite ability may seem a bit...strange

Day 30: Linking two Sonic stories

    Sonic 3 & Knuckles + Sonic Unleashed

Ok, here's the plot. The game starts off at the end of Sonic 2, theres a cutscene similar to Unleashed, Sonic has destroyed the death egg robot and is escaping the Death Egg. Running down the corridors he sees an exit and bolts, however Eggman had laid a trap for him. Sonic finds himself on a treadmill, running as fast as he can he can't gain any ground. Suddenly the pillars from Unleashed rise from the ground and start sucking Sonic's energy. He tries to transform into Super Sonic but it fails and the emerald power is sucked into the machine aswell. Eggman appears and tells Sonic he was prepared for his defeat and set up this trap to capture him and completely drain his energy, effectively killing him. He fires the Death Egg laser and it shatters the earth, but the energy is too much for the unstable Death Egg to take at this point, so it starts to explode. The explosions free Sonic from this machine, saving his life but giving him the Werehog form thanks to having the emeralds and their energy forcefully ripped from him and he is expelled into space.

The beginning half of the story is similar to Unleashed. Sonic traveling the world trying to piece it back together while coming to terms with his werehog form untill the last continent is almost in place (there is no Eggmanland). When the last continent is in place Sonic finds out about the Death Egg crash site and how Eggman is trying to repair it, ans So he heads off the Angel Island with Tails.

The second half of the game is pretty much Sonic 3 & Knuckles as Sonic tries to stop the Death Egg from launching, he meets Knuckles who has been tricked by Eggman and they butt heads on numerous occasions.

Finally unpon reaching Lava Reef Zone the Death Egg itself becomes fully operational and start to lift off again, Sonic reaches hidden Palace and fights with knuckles, trying to reach Eggman before its too late. Just then Eggman crashes through and steals the Master Emerald, explaining that he had heard tales of a Master Emerald being located in a palace hidden in flames, he had expected it to be near the Earth's core so thats why he shattered the planet. Thanks to sheer luck he landed on Angel island and explained that it had never appeared on his instruments because the ME was making it "invisible" to his instruments. He steals the Emerald and escapes to the Death Egg. knuckles realises he was wrong and allows Sonic to Sky Sanctuary where he catches up to the Death Egg. On the Death Egg Sonic locates the power core and destroys it and goes to hunt for Eggman, he Finds him and they battle, Eggman using Big Arm to crush his foe. Defeated Eggman just starts to laugh. Sonic asks him what he finds so funny. Eggman tells him that the Death Egg was all a fake, only to point out of the window at Angel island, the whole thing had been transformed into EggmanLand. he pushes the self destruct button and the Death Egg explodes.

Sonic finds himself falling from space, he is caught by the Tornado and Tails tells him of the Island and of Knuckles, he had been turned into a robot! and so the final Zone begins. The first section is a Tornado section, Tails trying to approach Eggmanland, but he can't get too close thanks to its defenses and so the next section begins. Sonic jumps off of the Tornado and skydives onto the deadly theme park, starting the next segment of the zone, the longest part. Sonic then has to get inside of the base, located in what used to be Lava Reef Zone. upon entering the final part of the stage begins and Sonic must fight his way to Eggman himself.
Upon reaching the good doctor in the Emerald Altar Eggman sends his latest creation after Sonic, the Roboticised Knuckles who sonic eventually defeats, knocking him into the Master Emerald.
Eggman furious jumps into his newest mech the Egg Draggon and flings sonic through the wall where he lands on a rocky outcrop, there the two do battle over the lava. Eggman defeated starts to ramble about how he isnt defeated, he still has the island under his control, how he will rise again and be even stronger. When all of his mecahnical alterations to the island just start to disappear, Knuckles, who had been knocked into the emerald was returned to normal thanks to its power, was using that power to return the Island back to normal and rid it of Eggman's influence. In his last ditch attempt Eggman flies his eggmobile into the lava, everyone thinks its over when suddenly the place starts to rumble. out of the lava flies the Great Egg Robo. Eggman grabs the Master Emerald and starts laughing manically saying that if he cant have the island he will destroy it. Sonic turns super and goes to fight it, Knuckles tries to help fight it while it is in the giant cavern, by collapsing parts of the ceiling to crush the robot and damage it, eventually Eggman escapes to the sky and Sonic follows, in this part Tails provides arial support using the Tornado. Sonic manages to defeat Eggman at last and in a big explosion the robot is destroyed and Eggman is flung far far away. Sonic catches the Master Emerald and returns it to the island before thanking knuckles for his help and leaving the island with Tails

...wow that was like a bad fanfiction

Anyway at this milestone I would like to take the chance to thank Dr Crusher for this event, it must have been really hard to think of all these questions and choose between all of those suggested. Not to mention providing entertaining and detailed posts EVERY DAY!

So thank you Dr Crusher, I salute you!

Also thanks to Kiah for keeping track of all of the posts and counting who has earned which badge. Thanks for all your hard work, there is a LOT of pages you must have read through!

Just a few points if like to make here

    1) the project may have been "incomplete" but that has nothing to do with the creation of time traveling powers. It is stated that Solaris already has time altering/travelling powers and the experiment is trying to harness those powers (so the duke can see his dead wife again no less)

    2) how can he possibly have gained powers from a shadow? Shadow is the one that contains the chaos energy, not his shadow it's literally the area that light can't get past and so forms a shadow. This shadow does not contain any of Shadows genetic material at all, so it makes no sense. His form I can see because you can see someone's rough shape from their shadow, also explains why it's incomplete and not an exact copy

    3) is it possible by any stretch of the imagination that Mephelies is stronger because he had had chance to grow and mature. As stated earlier when he was released he was practically a baby, he wouldn't be aware of his potential and I would imagine he would also have been confused. I mean he has literally just been released and thrust out into the world. He is not able to speak untill right at the very end before he has been sealed, at that point it is very broken speech and he doesn't have a physical form either, he is literally a cloud of black stuff.

    4) I've just been watching the cutscenes, despite the first cutscene in shadows story being inconsistent with his chaos control (if that's even what it is, he could have just been moving fast for "effect") EVEN if it is chaos control, Mephelies can't possibly be copying Shadows power because when he is released he sends shadow and rouge to the future, something that Shadow says his Chaos Control itself is insufficient for (when trying to return to the past). It takes two chaos emeralds and two chaos users to open a space time rift for them to create, while Mephelies can do it all by himself, ergo he mustn't be taking shadows power, as shadow states himself that his power alone is insufficient.

    5) stop, stop right there. Do you know how much of a fool you are making yourself look? It wasn't more than 5 pages ago that you were arguing that it WAS a reboot, not only that but BOOM! Was also a reboot. Members rebutted your argument by (correctly) stating that Boom was a reimagining, running alongside the main series, and that 06 is not,!but a planned ( failed mind you but still planned ) reboot. You would never have seen BOOM! In a generations esque game whereas 06 was because it's main series. You are now using arguments AGAINST you to try and bend your point. At this point I'm not sure if you even know the difference between reboot and reimagining and are just echoing what other users have said to you in the past without fully comprehending what it means.

    ...So.

    This is it.

Didn't... didn't think we would make it this far.

In the blink of an eye, a whole month - and a little extra - has passed.

    We've had character questions...

    We've had zone questions...

    We've had music questions...

    We've had plenty of questions...

Yes. It's been good. Maybe. Possibly. I thought it was alright. You might not think so. That's okay. I respect that.

...But you know... throughout these thirty days of questioning - questioning about cameos, plushies, and bosses, among many other things within the series - there's one type of question that I reckon hasn't been seen enough. A type of question that I imagine a lot of you have been waiting for since the beginning. A type of question that makes the majority of the Sonic Stadium have a blast without failure every single time.

Yes. I have, of course, decided to conclude this event... with a story question.

Yes. I know many of you have been waiting for this. The stories in Sonic games have always been something that a lot of members on this forum like to talk about, whether to gush, to criticise, or to compare. I won't lie... I've deliberately been holding this one back. I kept postponing it as much as I could, for I admit it has never been a subject that has made me confident or jolly in any way, for various reasons. All those debates... they were never my thing, blasphemous as that may be. But... I can't do that anymore. I can't hold it back forever. This is the last day. I have to give the people what they want. And I do believe this is what you want. You all have your cherished stories in this wonderful series of anthropomorphic, robotic, and egg-shaped individuals, and it would be very cruel of me to not allow an opportunity for you to talk about them, especially in this topic, of all places.

And so, with a heavy heart, ladies and gentlemen, I now present to you... the final question. The question that you have all been waiting for. The question about the stories within the Sonic the Hedgehog series.

    Good luck. Have fun.

Crusher's Thoughts: I'm going to be on the generic side and go with a combination of Sonic Rush Adventure and Sonic the Hedgehog 2006. More specifically, incorporating the elements of Solaris (but only Solaris, not Iblis or Mephileslie) within Blaze's world.

Imagine the majority of Rush Adventure's plot as it is, but perhaps Solaris would be the so-called "Power of the Stars", sealed within the Jeweled Scepter in the same way that Chaos was sealed within the Master Emerald. You would have Captain Whisker and his crew searching for the Jeweled Scepter just like in the real Rush Adventure, but Blaze and Co. would look at Whisker and Co. as a bunch of fools who don't know what mystical and almighty powers they are underestimating. Then of course we find out about their obvious creators and masters, Robotnik and Nega, who knew very well about taking extreme precautions the whole time. After maybe an initial fight with Solaris itself, and after betraying Nega, Robotnik would successfully remake it and control it, making it look part-Solaris and part-Egg Wizard (said design would hopefully not look cluttered and ridiculous).

The majority of areas would still take the form of the Rush Adventure zones and maybe some Sonic '06 areas (only remastered and less Adventure 1 copy and paste-tastic), but while Whisker still has Pirates' Island - which would still coincidentally look like Soleanna - Blizzard Peaks would be moved, becoming the fortress of Robotnik (and Nega), and it would basically serve as a combination between White Acropolis and Aquatic Base in terms of visuals. You know, progressing from the arctic mountains exterior to the underwater laboratory interior, that sort of thing. The final fight would possibly still take place within the Deep Core in order to contrast with the cold visuals of the proper final zone, and maybe the fiery caverns would somehow give Solaris more strength or some shit.

Yeah, this isn't going to win any awards anytime soon. I never said it had to be well thought out. It's all in good fun. Even if it's really silly and convoluted good fun. And there actually is more to this, but I'd be here all day, and chances are, you weren't interested in this drivel anyway.

And so, for the final time, with that out of the way, you may now post awaaaaaayyyy!~
