Can't wait to see Uncharted and Gran Turismo share the same universe.

    2. AlphaRuby

Nathan Drake guest stars in Everybody's Golf

  1. One show you hope is gonna be on Disney+?

    Me, Recess.

    1. Teoskaven

Gargoyles, but i'm guessing it's pretty much a given.

    2. DarkRula

Well, Recess is already on Disney Life, so there's a very good chance of that happening.

All I wish for is that everything on Disney Life makes it to Disney+ is plus is replacing Life in the UK.

    3. Ernest the Panda

      Ernest the Panda

Recess, New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Lilo & Stitch the Series, Emperor’s New School, House of Mouse, Brandy and Mr Whiskers.

    4. Ferno

      Pepper Ann

  2. Even now, the thought of Die Hard now being a Disney property is mind-blowing to me.

    1. Speederino

Family Guy is now a Disney property.

    2. AlphaRuby

Alien is now a Disney property.

    3. Speederino

Ur mom is now a Disney property.

    4. Miragnarok

      LOST is a Disney property.

    5. Jacky

      now a disney property

    6. Spin Attaxx

      Spin Attaxx

David Cronenberg's The Fly is now a Disney property (I think? I dunno how distribution/production rights shit works, but IIRC The Fly IP in general is owned by Fox).

      Fucking wild.

    7. Miragnarok

Down and Out in Beverly Hills is a Disney property. Apocalypto is a Disney property. This is not a new thing.

  3. The Detective Pikachu film, while having a predictable story, was still fun.

  4. In the cinema for Detective Pikachu

  5. After how Edward Norton re-writing Hulk 2008 turned out, no wonder it took till 2015 for Marvel Studios to let the main actor for a movie write the script.

  6. James Cameron was so slow getting his Avatar sequels off the ground, the studio got bought.

    How often does that happen?

    1. Teoskaven

It's kinda what happened to The Thief and the Cobbler, it was taking so long it was stripped from its creator and given to Miramax.

  7. If Thanos didn't concentrate when snapping the full Infinity Gauntlet, it'd probably misinterpret his command to be "enjoy half of all light".

    It'd make no sense lol

    1. Bloxxerboy

Thanos would suddenly feel enjoyment everytime he is exposed to half of every light source.

  8. So the moral I got the most from Kiki's Delivery Service is "Look both ways before crossing the road you dumbass" lol

  9. Are there any examples of a game having a different soundtrack  depending on region (not console version)?

The only ones like that I can think of are Sonic CD and Shinobi Legions/X.

    1. NegaMetallix

Iirc, the early Gran Turismo games had different soundtracks for each region. Japan had its own original score for the games, while America and Europe each had an assortment of music from various artists.

At least, I think that was the case.

    2. Mr Loopone

      Mr Loopone

      Ones that I know:

Total Drivin' (known as a bunch of other names elsewhere) on the PS1. Europe (original), US (one of the songs).
The American version of TOCA World Touring Cars (called something Stock Car Racing) also on the PS1 actually has an ingame soundtrack.
Biometal on the SNES. The US/PAL version has music that rips off 2Unlimited.
Speedball 2 on the Mega Drive, technically. The music was completely redone for the European/Japanese version by Matt Furniss. The main theme was arranged and has more original music compared to the US version that has just the main theme and that was badly done.

As for Gran Turismo, only the 1st game had a complete change. 2 up to around 5 (maybe 4) only changed the ingame music. Some like Spyro, Castlevania 3 and Phantasy Star 2 had touchups or just that one song change but not complete changes.

  10. The Sonic film isn't even out here till December, and normally I would say Rise of Skywalker would eat the film up, but considering that Jumanji 2 held its own against Last Jedi despite not too great trailers, and that Solo bombed, I'm not sure about that.

    1. Operationgamer17

It released worldwide after The Last Jedi and the worldwide box office total was pretty good. It’s not just the UK.

    2. Milo

Solo bombed because it was rushed out without a proper marketing campaign and was sandwiched between other tentpoles (Avengers: Infinity War and Deadpool 2), which was a byproduct of its. And while Last Jedi did get some competition from Jumanji 2, it was still the highest-grossing film of 2017.

Besides, speaking of Jumanji, the Sonic Movie is also going have to fend off a very busy holiday season. November has Sony releasing a third Jumanji film, Disney has Frozen II, Paramount is also releasing a sixth Terminator film, and Sony has a Charlie's Angels reboot. Assuming Sonic holds against all of these, it then has to fight off Disney's Episode XI and Universal's theatrical adaptation of the Cats Broadway musical.

That's not even getting into how recent videogame films have typically underperformed domestically (re: US) and needed international numbers to plug in the gap.

Needless to say, I think the film has an uphill battle to climb. (Deservedly so.)

The Fast & Furious films in a nutshell

  12. I dunno, I’m not entirely convinced of Warner Bros plan of making a 2nd continuity of DC films alongside the current one working in the film medium

    1. Teoskaven

Isn't the DC Animated Canon something that has been going on since the '90s starting with the Batman Animated series?

    2. AlphaRuby

Those are direct-to-DVD fare, the ones like Joker are major theatrical releases, the ones the general public care most about.

    3. SenEDDtor Missile

      SenEDDtor Missile

Yeah that's TOTALLY not gonna get confusing as balls.

    4. Marcello

There's not going to be a 2nd continuity. There's going to be movies that will have their own continuity.

And it'll be fine. The people who will act all confused are nerds on the internet. Most people won't care.

    5. Teoskaven

I got confused, I mistook 2nd for 2d, thinking it was the animated canon you were talking about. Fug.

    6. KHCast

@Marcello still doesn’t change that it’s a mess. Just cause the masses don’t care about something, doesn’t make the thing not a issue worth addressing.

    7. Marcello

It's neither a mess nor an issue, though.

    8. KHCast

Multiple timelines being marketed without much clear indication of what’s what sounds like a mess waiting to happen.
