Isn't you're idea of locking a boost feature until lap 2 blatantly ripping off F Zero though?

Why? What's wrong with the current formula of ASR?

How about we actually talk about the game?

My current favourites to use are:
Yoshimitsu: I never expected to use him. But after playing around in trial mode Yoshimitsu's attacks and fighting style are fantastic in this game. Sure he's slow and not very powerful, but he is absolutely excellent for set ups. Plus his Super Art is deadly in Scramble Mode, have your friend stall them for a bit and executing the move draws them in anyway, so if you need to cancel it you'll be safe. Admittedly though in normal fights with a co-op partner I'm more setting up combos for my friend that making my own, but it's nice to be second banana sometimes.
Hugo: I love Hugo, my favourite from 3rd Strike just because how silly he is. Plus his attack strength in this is massive. Assigning Attack gems make him godlike. Speaking of which,
Ogre: I strangely like using him. His moveset is a bit odd but after practice he can pull off some crazy good stuff.
Jin: A very fun character to use. All his moves are so effective in battle it hard not to enjoy playing as him. Though saying that his English voice is so damn bad it's hilarious, especially when he's performing his Super Art where he goes into sudden puberty.

    I like the entire roster but if there's one character I simply can not enjoy playing as is;
King: I love King. He's my favourite character in the entire Tekken series. His moves felt so brutal and unique and overall he's such a lovable character. But in this game I can't stand playing as him at all. The majority of his moveset is situational (one move require the opponent to be in midair and another needed to be crouching). In a game this this everybody is on the move and King doesn't have anything to counter nor punish the enemy to a great deal of damage. Overall I just feel let down that my favourite Tekken character is my least favourite character in the roster.

You know Capcom didn't initially want to release UMvC3 right? The characters in that were planned for DLC for MvC3 however due to the earthquakes in Japan that year it disrupted the development schedule for it.

I agree that what is on disc should be available to all without paying. But can't you say it offers enough already? Street Fighter X Tekken has plenty of character combinations so many layers to it and plenty of multiplayer options that if anything doesn't need anything else. A few characters on the side shouldn't drive you away, they're optional , they're not forcing anyone to buy them, that's your choice. Though saying that they are making it so the character pack contains all of the on disc characters and you can't buy them separately, which I'm not bothered on Blanka and Sakura.

You know what, I'm just going to stop here. I've just realised how hard it is to defend Capcom, as much as I want to.

So anyone get The Trouble with Clones DLC that came out today? I got it and I have to say it's the worst pack so far. Johnny Gat was my favourite character in the Saints Row series (besides myself) until now because of what they've done to him. It's horrible. I certainly hope that this isn't canon.
The missions were not too shabby, highlights was Pierce singing Aisha songs and having super powers in the last mission. But the stupid thing about it is you don't get anything outside of the mission. In the last 2 DLC packs you got a lot of things out of it like cars, costumes, homies etc. What do you get out of this? A car with a giant horn strapped onto it and 2 Brute homies. You get to use a gun which fires Bees at people and have super powers (which is super punches, fireballs and super sprinting, which is bloody fun to use) and you can only use them in missions.
Overall I really don't recommend it unless you're after it's achievements (which once again if you miss out on one you have to load up a different save file and start the missions all over again).

Now that I see what some developers can do to a character you love, I can now sympathise with Megaman fans.

All this moaning and groaning over Capcom is saddening really. No one is telling you guys to buy their products, you guys are doing it of your own accord, yet Capcom is somehow in the wrong for expanding on a game they couldn't originally? I fail to follow that logic.Yeah they've made questionable business decisions but everyone seems to think they have some sort of entitlement when it comes to these games and it really makes people come off as childish.

Rawpowered reacted to #AR in If you could remake a Sonic game.. what would it be and why?
Definitely Sonic Battle. I really enjoyed that game, it's my favorite GBA game, other than Advance 2.
I really want SEGA to make a 3DS sequel, but a man can dream, can't he?

Some changes I would make for a sequel or re-release:
More characters of course. Not too many, but enough to add more variety
Extended movesets. More moves for every character and more specials.
Updated graphics/visuals and music. Another pretty obvious one.
More voices. Since it'll be on a more powerful system, the story mode could definitely have some voices.
Several Animated Cutscenes, especially during the most pivotal moments in the story, like when Emerl gets a Chaos Emerald
Change the view of the battles. probably make it full 3D with several different camera angles so people can adjust to the style they like. This will probably add more ease when it comes to landing hits.
Several extra fighting game nuances like evading or full guards along with the parry-type guard already present.
More freedom in the movelist customization. Raise the cap, and add more stat boost options.
Most importantly: BALANCE. Balancing is pretty much everything when it comes to fighting games, so some major balance tweaks are a must. Make the specials less spammy and give them limits on when they can be used, round out the moves so that the same basic combo used twice won't kill a person, and especially make the final battle NOT a special move spamfest.
Those are just a couple of examples that I'd like to see i guess.

I've only ever played the original Sonic Riders, but I enjoyed it quite a bit. Its learning curve is a bit steep, but once you get the hang of things it's quite fun.

Also, playable Eggman earns it some major cool points for me. Seeing Eggman punch out streetcars with his bare hands is pretty awesome, I have to say.

Don't take the glitch shortcut in Maka Wuhu/Wuhu Mountain.

    Heh

Bionic Commando is second only to Ace Attorney in terms of my absolute favorite Capcom franchises. This is one of those games I practically grew up on, and the
was one of the biggest bouts in fanservice since Smash Bros since it improved and added onto everything and made the original better in every single way. The game was notorious for being one of the few platformer games where you couldn't actually jump, but instead you got the completely rad Bionic Arm to swing around the environments, taking out foes and being awesome.

was probably the closest thing I had to a game of the year, and the Bionic Arm returns better than ever. While it was looked down upon by many, many people in the fanbase (whom I'm convinced are absolutely batshit crazy and never actually played the game), particularly for it's nonsensical plot, this game provided hours of some of the most fun swinging in a video game since Spider-Man 2, and an absolutely robust combat system that made flinging enemies, flinging items, whiplashing foes and bombarding people from above an absolute blast. Not to mention, the multiplayer was totally cool whenever you actually found some matches to play in.
Spencer as a whole was my most wanted inclusion in the crossover fighting game Marvel vs Capcom 3, and I couldn't have been more joyful that even after bombing and having a relatively sub-par reception from fans, he was still included and became one of the best sleeper characters in the game, and easily a contender for the highest tiers in UMvC3. I was looking forward to kicking ass with the Bionic Arm yet again, but what I didn't expect was to have some of the most creative uses of combos and the hilariously golden hyper.
