  2. When finishing 3rd, 4th and 5th is enough to win a team race in TSR.

    Image result for sonic shrugs

  3. I decided to download and play the final two episodes of the final season of TWD. May as well spoiler tag: Edit: Skybound is doing a definitve edition with improved visuals featuring all four seasons: https://www.skybound.com/telltales-the-walking-dead-the-definitive-series
  4. Hope the next main 3D Sonic title will be made for next-gen.

If we assume the hypothetical 3D game is coming in 2020 or 2021, it'd most likely be a cross-gen game at best.

It's kinda weird to think that we might only see a single main Sonic game on current gen hardware this time around.

@Thigolf wasn’t the Wii U part of this gen?

    4. Thigolf

Yeah, but I was more talking about (or at least trying to) the actual hardware power. The Wii U meddled more with the previous gen in terms of power as opposed to the jump the PS4 and Xbox One did.

      But yes, technically, you're right.

What's the point tho? It's gonna be a game that could run on a Wii like Sonic Colors, just not as pretty. Sonic games long ago stopped pushing hardware when it comes to gameplay. I couldn't care less how much they improve their motion blur.

Ah yes, there use to be a time when ST cared about keeping current and actually pushed the hardware they were working on but those days have long since past. Saw it coming back with Gens but I honestly didn’t expect to see it go this far downhill for this long.

I had hopes for Forces at one point when they announced the HE2 but that seemed to only give a better surface level coat of paint. Geometry was still dated, the art style in certain areas didn’t push a damn thing, and most of the levels didn’t actually show off any overall improvements over gd LW because they were still just 2D block levels. Add in some shitastic motion blur and just... wow.

Now, a part of me still hopes that the overall industry push for next gen will force them to actually try again but idk. It seemed like the people who wanted to keep the series advancing left almost a decade ago.

@Strickerx5 it still makes me laugh that an engine touted as "all-new" still has the same problems of low-res textures and low-quality models that the original suffered from. there's a famitsu interview from march 2017 where iizuka said it was actually an updated version of the same HE with an added rendering engine, and i honestly believe that's what really happened. even at its best, forces looks barely better than last-gen sonic games like unleashed and generations.

can you imagine if sonic team's current art/graphics department was responsible for mania? the whole concept of making it look like a sonic game built for the sega saturn and touching up all of the old assets to correspond to that would had been thrown completely out the window. it would had looked like a lost sonic game from 1992, but in the negative sense of the word. "sonic 2, but somehow slightly worse."

  5. TSR's physical soundtrack is due to release on 29th May. Was originally gonna release on 21st.

Can't come soon enough. The music in TSR so darn good.

  6. Beat the final race in TSR.

  7. Everything Sonic related gets delayed these days. Makes a nice change from when SEGA used to rush games out 🤣

  8. Geat ready for the twitter takeover...

  9. Now this looks really cool. A remake of Sonic 1 (MS) for android & pc:

The fulll game is playable. There's extra features such as Super Sonic, Drop-dash and spindash. Unlockable Tails & Knuckles. More playable characters are planned for future releases.

After several remakes that all went for the Genesis styled overhaul, it's nice to see what is basically the equivalent to Stealth's mobile remasters. My one issue is that Sonic looks sunk in the ground at bit, but that might have been the case from the beginning.

Now all we need is the secret Marble Zone level

  10. First teaser for the new Star Trek Picard series

    1. AlphaRuby

Took him long enough to get promoted.

Here's hoping this turns out better than the last time Picard was on a Star Trek-related thing.

    2. TheOcelot

Being retired and old is pretty much what he was at the end of series 7,-the old version of Picard when he was moving through time.

I guess he'll end up going back to starfleet.

  11. How many chapters are there in TSR? I'm up to chapter 6.

  12. Oh boy... Sonic, Tails, Shadow & Eggman are taking over twitter this Friday!

Reacted with who I most want to answer my questions

  13. Just played Boo's House for the time. Seeing King Boom Boo again is so cool. Makes me long for an SA2 remake. Although I prefer Haunted Castle's design.

I completely dominated the race to finish 1st...but my AI partners finished 5th & 6th and as a result my team finished 2nd 😡

    How annoying!

  14. Oh cool, if you tie (on points) for first place in TSR (which I just did - I was Team Sonic) you still get awarded the first place trophy.
