Besides Sonic, which game franchise (eg Super Mario, Call of Duty, Assassin's Creed etc) do you own the most games of? I own loads of MGS games.
-
SA2 has the best story out of all the 3d Sonic games.

Are you excited with SASRT releasing soon, or are you just, meh?

Do you want the next Sonic game to have DLC?

Sonic Forces as I'm a huge Modern Sonic fan. As little information we had received regarding Sonic Forces before Thursday my excitement for it pretty much remained in tact as I was simply thrilled to see a Sonic game that as far as we know has nothing to do with Boom Sonic.
Don't get me wrong as Sonic Mania looks fantastic with so much heart put into it and I'm in love with the music especially but at the end of the day Classic Sonic isn't my cup of tea.

The people (SEGA forums) have spoken. http://forums.sega.com/showthread.php?426397-Knuckles-Chaotix-Why-we-want-it-to-be-ported What say you?

Sonic Boom Wii U so far. Yay, nay or okay?
-
I get a funny feeling that Sonic Boom (a cross between Sonic Adventure and Sonic Heroes) whilst not being considered a proper/normal Sonic game, will end up being critically acclaimed, and will outsell LW on the Wii U.

@Nepenthe
That's why I'm in my no hype clause. Because it will be a waste of time until the games in my hands. I don't even DISLIKE SLW but comparing all the hype and how everyone was excited to how generally depressed and cynical it made most of SSMB after release is the worst and I'm done with that shit
-
There's nothing wrong with being hyped for something. The problem is letting your hype get so out-of-control and impenetrable that you delude yourself and set yourself up for disappointment. People should stop being *totally* cynical from the outset and be happy about the games that look interesting to them, without going fucking overboard with it. There's a balance to be had.

In 2017 we're getting Mania & P17. So, what about 2018? We're getting a movie. What else do you think we'll get?
-
Do you associate a particular Sonic game with some members (doesn't necessarily mean it's the members favourite Sonic game)?
-
So I'm playing SA1 on Steam at the moment. I completed Knuckles story this morning. Love it. Good gameplay, nice final boss (Chaos 6) and really cool ending music. I then completed Amy's story. Amy's gameplay is fucking awful. She'e way too slow, and the final boss is dreadful. I lost about five lives before I managed to beat it.

The annoying thing about Amy's gameplay is that, in concept, it could be really fun. You're given much more limited means of attack than Sonic and you're constantly being chased, yet the overall goal of the stages is the same. If she was faster then her stages would be really fun. Shame she only got 3 acts.

Which Sonic games deserve the "Taxman Remaster" treatment?

Are we sure the whole Taxman Remaster thing isn't dead yet

I would really enjoy the MS/GG quadrilogy (1/2/Chaos/TT) getting the same treatment as the Genesis games. Incorporate the best features from each version (like getting rid of the ratchet scrolling Jungle Zone in S1 MS, but keeping the Underground Zone boss behavior from S2 MS so that avoiding the boulders is easier), make them widescreen, and provide a Sonic 3-style save feature. There could also be options to play the games as they were on the MS and/or GG, similar to how Sonic 3 Complete does it.

@Your Vest Friend Very dead. So I guess the question is, which Sonic game deserves to be dead?
-
-
-
-
I'd be happier if we could get the Sonic 1 and 2 remasters on consoles first.
Then the Advance games.

What was your first impression of Generations when you played the Green Hill Act 1 (classic) and Act 2 (Modern) demos?

I never played a Modern demo. First time I played Modern was when I got an early promo copy gifted to me nearly a week before release from the lovely Dreadknux. My first impression made me happy. Even though I'm not a huge fan of the Modern gameplay, Green Hill Zone works really well. The Classic Sonic demo I really enjoyed, apart from the lack of classic physics.

Which version of City Escape do you enjoy playing the most, SA2 or Generations?

They're about equal. While Generations is way more cinematic and pretty, it does have that 2D section that isn't bad but just feels there for the sake of it. The 2D sections in Speed Highway and Seaside Hill worked despite the stages being entirely 3D originally, but City Escape just... didn't for some reason.

^ Yeah I was gonna say. I agree. Though I CAN understand the criticism considering City Escape Original was the first stage, and City Escape Generations is the fifth. You expect more complexity by then. ALTHOUGH at the same time, they were probably trying to capture the original feeling, and considering it's sandwiched between Speed Highway and Seaside Hill, which are both CHOCK full of alternate routes, they were probably using City Escape to have a more fast-paced, linear stage inbe...

Afternoon guys. Question; Is BioShock infinite a good game? It's available on the PS Now beta and I'm tempted to download it.

Games that have a 4 (i.e Sonic 4) in the name. Do they all suck?
