DC have announced a number of action figures based on the characters from Arkham Knight:

This is actually really cool because whilst we finally got to see a bit of Scarecrow in the recent trailer, this is the first time we've seen exactly what Scarecrow's full bodysuit looks like. Looks neat.

You and Solkia need to calm down.  I love Platinum as much as the next guy and Kamiya has been responsible for some of my favourite games of all time, but it's not unfair for someone not to be hyped from just a CG trailer.

Lamor reacted to Brad in Rise of the Tomb Raider - Xbox One (2015), PS4, PC (2016)
The sequel to the critically acclaimed 2012 game, Rise of the Tomb Raider is the return to the rebooted story of Lara Croft by Crystal Dynamics, and published by Square Enix. Undergoing therapy after the events of the first game, we see Lara come into her own as she traverses down cliffs, shoots grunts with her trusty bow and arrows, and of course... raids tombs. The game is set to arrive in the holiday season of 2015. More details will be added to this thread as it becomes available, including the first trailer which was shown at the 2014 Microsoft E3 Conference.
The game will head to PC and PS4 in late 2016, following a year of exclusivity with Microsoft.

    muh naughty gods

Put yourself in the shoes of five year old Dissy. This little dude:

Awww, what a cutie. Was definitely a fan of video games at the time - I'd been playing on my friend's NES and Genesis for a while, played a bunch of Sonic Adventure on the Dreamcast, and even had my very own PlayStation. A PSOne, to be precise (the slim model). Played lots of games on it, like -

    this really great horror game

some tony hawk in space thing i think

i think this one was nsfw

    and then

    MOTHER FUCKING CRASH BANDICOOT

Crash was the best back then. The only real competition there ever was in my eyes was Spyro, but Spyro just couldn't match the sheer intensity of any single Crash Bandicoot level. All of the PS1 games are brilliantly designed and it's absolutely no wonder why they were such an enormous success. I looooved Crash as a kid.

Then I grew up a little bit. I wanted something darker and edgier. I didn't play baby games anymore, after all. Crash was still great, mind you, but my interests veered a bit as I myself got older and more """"""mature""""""

look how dark and mysterious and interesting i am

And though that particular picture is a few years late, the actual timing was quite apt. Because just as I was trying to distance myself from things I thought were childish...

    RATED T FOR MATURE ADULTS

GUNS AND GIRLS AND DARKNESS AND REVENGE OH YEAH

Jak 2 is one of the silliest things to look at for me these days, even though I know it is still a well designed, acclaimed game. The whole trilogy is one of the most iconic set of games on the system for a reason, after all, and while it may be a bit hard for me to go back to now, it was easily one of the coolest things ever for me as a kid.

After finishing Jak 3, I took a bit of a break from Naughty Dog for a few years. I wasn't invested enough in the industry to really recognize which developer was which, and so Uncharted never really caught my interest. I played and enjoyed the first, but never got the rest. Naughty Dog pretty much passed me by on PS3 and I played a bunch of other games as I continued to grow older.

Around the time I became the dashing young man I am today -

    sorry ladies i'm taken

I'd heard a lot about this supposedly amazing game called The Last of Us. I'd heard the story was even better than Telltale's Walking Dead series, which I really doubted, and when I heard it was made by Naughty Dog I just assumed it'd be an Uncharted-esque affair and didn't pay it too much attention. Later on though, I got curious, and saw it at Gamestop when I was trading in my copy of Killzone: Shadow Fall (something I rarely do, but Killzone was just decent so I didn't feel I needed it). I picked it up, and...

    FORGIVE ME FOR DOUBTING

    BUT I MEAN

YOU GUYS KNEW I'D SAY THAT

BECAUSE EVER SINCE I PLAYED IT I WOULDN'T EVER SHUT THE FUCK UP ABOUT HOW AMAZING IT WAS AND I ALREADY WROTE ABOUT IT LIKE FIVE TIMES BECAUSE IT'S SO GOOOOOOOOOOOD

Real talk? It made me want to play the other Uncharted games and give that series another shot. If there's ever a PS4 collection, I'm jumping on it instantly. I am a full believer.

The Last of Us just kind of put it into perspective for me - though I wasn't too interested in the Indiana Jones-esque style Uncharted went for, I just realized that ever since Crash Bandicoot... they've never made a bad game. I know Uncharted 3 was a disappointment after the supposedly glorious Uncharted 2, but even that was still very well designed in its own right.

The Last of Us is such an amazing way to cap things off. It's one of the few games I'd actually call "dark and mature" in a completely non-ironic way. It's a very adult-oriented game, and not because it features gore or sex. It's a game that treats its players with respect, and raises interesting questions about morality and humanity.

I grew up with Naughty Dog, and I feel like they grew up with me. Going from child-friendly fun, to awkward teenage edginess, to full maturation. I admire them, and I very much look forward to seeing what they do next. Whatever it is, I'm there on Day One.

£60? They've got to be fucking joking. This is why I'm glad Microsoft's original "vision" crashed and burned, that's nearly double the cost of a physical copy.

£60 is $100 by the way.

Lamor reacted to Sami in The Order: 1886 (PS4) "M'Lord! The House of internet cries foul delay!"
I remember I thought The Last of Us looked like "just another cover shooter" back at E3 2012. Really glad I gave the game a chance regardless, because otherwise I would have missed out on one of the greatest games I've ever played.

Quality in a cover shooter comes from the intensity of the gameplay, the polish of the controls, and the variety in level design. Having only seen this trailer, it at least looks like the first two things seem to be good here. Everything looks like really heavy and powerful; lots of recoil, spraying discouraged, etc. I like that. The fight with the guy looked pretty intense as well, though I want to see how much of that is controllable. An overuse of QTE's is not something I'm fond of.

Overall though, I'm excited. The game looks like it could be a lot of fun and I'm already in love with the setting. Bums me out when people say "looks like just another nitty gritty TPS" as if that's all there is to it. The way I see it that argument is as baffling as writing off Mario 3D World for being "ugh just another cartoony platformer". If you don't like a genre just say you don't like the genre. You don't have to pretend everything in it is mediocre and samey. :/
