  2. I feel like its too soon to assume anything. He might be forced to say this, as until part 5 comes out, we can't be sure.
  3. A very interesting screen. Although both endings of encore mode frustrate me. Can I really call them endings?
  4. A streamer named "Misterteamot" has streamed encore mode completely on twitch. I know this is a spoiler chat but I don't want to spoil it for anyone, if you want to check it out search him up on twitch. All i'm going to say is that im disappointed.

Part of me still hopes for changes to the final boss, but part of me worries that we wont get any changes at all, and the hydrocity transition will stay bad, no final boss changes at all, etc. Although that's my cynical side, I could be very surprised too! Something that confirms this quote was fake, he says he doesn't want to break embargo by showing gameplay, yet breaks the embargo anyway by telling us about it. A little hint that this was fake I guess you could say
  6. A fight against the Titanic Monarch would have been awesome. Like most sonic games, I expected the Phantom Egg to be the Titanic Monarch act 2 boss, and then the Titanic Monarch to be the normal final boss
  7. Ill be honest, Ray and Mighty both seem super good. I feel like Knuckles needs a serious buff if they want him to be as balanced as the other characters, as honestly, he is easily the worst so far. Mighty's defensive capabilities, while not super good for mobility, give him the ability to absolutely cheese bosses. I believe it was stated that his shell can deflect certain projectiles like the elemental shields as well as spikes. This, along with his ground slam's utility, makes him much stronger than Knuckles. Knuckles also has a lower jump, which seems to make him obviously the worst character. I think Tails is fine still, but not in the same league as ray. While Tails flight is protected from above, and is easy to control, is very slow. Even though Ray is very open to attacks in his glide, the fact that he can quickly turn into ball form is very strong. If Ray could somehow go back into gliding after bouncing off an enemy in ball form, he would easily be the most broken character's mobility in general. TL;DR - Mighty's defensive capabilities and Ray's mobility easily make them 2 of the best characters in the game, surpassing Tails and easily surpassing Knuckles. The only character that still competes with them is Sonic, due to the shield abilities and drop dash. Here's a little tier list I thought of, if anyone is interested. A - Sonic, Ray B - Mighty, Tails C - Knuckles What do you all think about the characters, how powerful they are, and what would you do to make Knuckles stronger? (By the way there is one last thing I would like to add. I would definitely consider Sonic & Tails together S tier. You get Tails flight and sonics speed and shield abilities, its very powerful)

  9. Really hoping they put a stage from Mania in the game. Imagine racing through Press Garden or Studiopolis! (Would probably be studiopolis but any would be good)
  10. I don't know if anyone has mentioned this, but in gameplay you can see Sonic jumping from the foreground in encore to get to the other Sonic, which means Mighty respawn is him jumping back onto the map.
  11. I doubt things like new bosses, new story segments, etc would be put in an early update. Its probably just the skins and level design. The new characters are also not in, so anything new that had to be programmed besides Angel Island is not implemented yet.
  12. I'm guessing it will play like the acorn in New Mario Bros. A glide and a double jump boost, but when the double jump is used, the glide is weakened.
  13. Wow. Just wow. I was super curious about encore mode but the fact that its a sequel story sort of to Mania is awesome! My hype has gone through the roof, and I am stoked for the trailer tomorrow! Some personal theories and thoughts... I like the idea of Mighty and Ray's story coming after S,T,K. Perhaps it happens at the same time as forces? This would sort of make the timeline for mania go... Sonic Mania (Sonic, Tails, Knuckles) ----> Sonic Forces + Mighty & Ray (Mania Mode!) -----> Encore Mode (not sure if adventures fits anywhere, perhaps before encore?) Following this, the fact that Angel Island is back is awesome! I really hope it's a full 2 act zone, because I would love to hear a Tee remix of both acts. Also i'm guessing Angel Island will be encore's first zone, and the rest will be scrambled. (So they will not be in the same order as Mania Mode.). Sunset Green Hill looks awesome as well! Hoping that Angel Island isn't the only new zone though. Will they replace certain levels as their encore variant? (I.e - Metallic Madness - Scrap Brain, Lava Reef - Mystic Cave) or will they be added on as well as the encore variants? Either way, I can't wait to see how this turns out. I'm kind of glad Mania was rushed, as this stuff might not have happened if it wasn't! I can't wait to read more of your guy's thoughts too!
  14. Im extremely curious if we are going to get any new zones or not. I know they didn't say anything on the subject, but they didn't exactly deny it either. Either way i'm stoked to play as Mighty and Ray! I was hoping that they would make their return eventually. Im very curious about what this "Encore Mode" is. What do you all think?
  15. 1. I would enjoy to keep a pixel art style, but don't give them selves any limitations, I want them to go nuts with it 2. I would actually like them to bring back 3 acts. I think it would work well again with many differences with each act. Imagine 12 brand new, 3 act zones. 3. Bring back how 3K had them with the bonus stages acting as a way to get shields and having multiple of them, but all of them should be unique. I do want the special stages to return from mania however. 4. I would like to see score attack and a bestiary, and maybe even a collection room, but no world map. Keep the transition cutscenes. 5. Yes, perhaps allowing you to pick a lead and partner like advance 3, with unique abilities between them. 6. I say bring back peel-out, and let you choose between drop dash and insta shield. Perhaps even a new move. S1 - No, I would like the sequels to focus on their own saga. Like how sonic 1 was not part of the death egg saga, make a new saga for the sequels that's not a tie in. S2 - Yes, and I think that new members should be added. I would also like Mecha Sonic to return. Save Metal for a CD sequel. S3 - I want Mighty back. Perhaps give him the mega-mix abilities with shield store and an insta shield! -------------------------- Other Notes -------------------------- - Perhaps an option to have sonic 3 style sprites for people who perfer them - I want omelette as a canon villian, with a 3 act structure, it could go Act 1 : Super Badnik Miniboss Act 2 : VS Omelette Act 3 : VS Eggman - I would like the super emeralds to return. If we are gonna have a longer game, it makes sense to bring back 14 emeralds to get - I want another collectible like the medallions to return - I want a full game of original zones in a original location with an original story, but I would absolutely adore to have old levels as a sort of unlockable (If this happens, PLEASE give us Mystic Cave and Ice Cap)
  16. I refuse to believe this game took 4 years. There is no way I think its green hill chemical plant metropolis (not the one from sonic 2) mystic forest (basically casino night) death egg city (no joke, fucking city zone, what a name) and I think something empire. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong

  20. First impressions i actually like the concept, a casino in the middle of a forest, but it doesn't seem to be done well. The gimmicks are just casino night, except worse level design and worse music in a game with worse physics. However, despite that, I think it's the best level seen yet. The rings seem oddly placed though, like near the end when there are just giant squares of rings placed around, and why are there no enemies? I think this level could benefit from having forest gimmicks or Ruin gimmicks mixed in with the casino gimmicks. Logs? Branches and stuff? Overall - interesting concept, but really just a worse casino night with a forest background woven into it. However, it seems like it will look beautiful in-game (the graphics) and I don't think the music is that bad. Defintally the best forces level so far.

  22. I can not say an exact number, but my guess is it will be somewhere in the 60-70 range?
  23. A Giant, 3d, physics based open world Sonic game in the style of Utopia would be fantastic!
  24. Major gripe here. I wish more of MSZ 1 was the train and not the plane. Having just the beginning and boss be the plane, and have the main stage be set on the train with tons of exploration might have made it my favorite new zone.
