It ain't an awards show without some heartbreak.

I'm not gonna bitch but I really didn't like that game. What was it up against?

To say tons of far better games got fucked over for TLoU2 is an understatement.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons, DOOM Eternal, Final Fantasy VII Remake, Ghost of Tsushima and Hades

As someone who knows and cares nothing about TLoU2, why should peeps be mad about it doing so well? Is it like...bad?

@PC the Hedgehog The game was made under horrifying crunch conditions, Druckmann is kinda a jerk now,  the game constantly tries to make you feel guilt for playing it, it tries to make you feel sympathy for people who really don't deserve it and a really creepy sex scene are the reasons I stopped. Think people agree with most of those.

I did enjoy Ellie though, not gonna be totally negative.

It's a long fucking story. The short version is TLoU2 has numerous issues in it's story, pacing, length, and much much more. It could be summed up as a 30 hour long misery porn, filled with character assassination. It ruins a lot that was great about the original's narrative, and is overall just a tedious, frustrating game. It's decent, at best. But sure as fuck not the overhyped piece of art that this whole industry seems beyond obsessed to convince you it is.

The longer version is that the game itself is toxic with four camps. Camp 1 - the people who dislike it for fair reasons. Camp 2 - the people who like it for fair reasons, Camp 3 - the people who despise it for dumb reasons, and Camp 4 - the fanboys who are so far up Naughty Dog's ass that they defend everything they do, and claim everyone with a complaint is a homophobe and racist, even if the people they're calling these slurs is actually homosexual, or what have you.

 and then you take into account the horrible crunch conditions that Neil Druckmann put the devs under. It gets really fucking under your skin when you nothing but constant claims of Naughty Dog being this company worthy of admiration and praise when we got numerous horror stories about the horrible conditions they forced their team through to get this game pushed out, and they're being celebrated and thanked for it. It's fucking disgusting.

Man, that all sounds so unpleasant. Surprised the game is going over so well with the community at large if it has that many problems.
