It's repetitive and uses the type of synth I typically dislike, but for I think Sky Road is probably my favourite piece of music in TSR. It's basically everything wrong with the Sonic music in Forces, but Ohtani really pulled it off this time. And it's his only track in the game IIRC.
I'd still like to hear what Ohanti would come up with for a new mainline Sonic game where he wasn't responsible for like 95% of the entire soundtrack. I appreciate what he was going for tonally in Forces and Lost World, but it didn't work out. Unleashed and 06 are great examples of what he can do when his direction is on point.

So this is kind of out of the blue, but here's an idea for a Sonic Utopia-esque game I've had on the back of my mind for a while now...
One of the big issues with 3D Sonic is translating the simple control scheme into 3D, right? So what if to start off, all you had was your jump, your Homing Attack and your Spin Dash... But as you play, you unlock "skills" that can be assigned to the face buttons and triggers.
All you really need to beat the game are the good ol' jump and spin, but let's say the double jump is screwing you up and you'd rather have the air dash? How about swapping the Y button out for the Bounce Bracelet, the X button for the Lightspeed Dash, and the bumpers for the Quick Step? Maybe you wanna really challenge yourself and go in with just a Spin Dash on the triggers and an Insta-Shield on all four buttons?
The controls are as simple, or as complicated, as you want it to be. You could have a fully decked out Sonic if that's your thing, but you're putting yourself on a steep learning curve, and it's your responsibility to keep up.

I've only listened to about 3 or 4 of the leaked Ultimate remixes (all of which being tracks they've already shown) but I feel like I've already listened to half of the new soundtrack.

Wario World is a strange case where I don't like the game at all, but I still really, really want to see a sequel to it. Monotonous level design and an undoubtedly short development time/budget hamper it down, but the foundations of a 3D Wario are really solid and it's a shame they've never tried it again since.

Final Destination variants are referred to "Ω" but Battlefield variants are just called "Battlefield".
This has bothered me ever since the August direct and I couldn't hold my frustrations back any longer.

Uggggghhhhhhhhh, ANOTHER Mario rep? Why does Mario get all the reps?! It's not like he's the face of Nintendo as a whole and one of the most recognizable and successful game franchises in history or anything!

I'm just as upset about the Grinch being fake as everyone else, but this idea that Piranha Plant "stole a slot from [character I want]" or "got in over [character I want]" is really silly - they brought him at the very end of development, after everyone else had already been finished, as a fun little joke character. The fact that he won't be ready at launch proves this.
You remember how Dr. Mario, Lucina and Dark Pit were brought in at the last second of 4's development and had no bearing on the overall roster? Or how Sonic's inclusion in Brawl gave them time to bring in Wolf, Toon Link and Jigglypuff? Literally the exact same principle applies here. You were either getting "Smash Ultimate With Piranha Plant" or "Smash Ultimate Without Piranha Plant".
