  1. Detective Pikachu... Is okay-ish at best.

  2. I finally watched The Lion King 2019. What a tech demo!

  3. Apparently Yooka Layle sequel is actually pretty good?

  4. So The Batman will have the Riddler as a villain? Interesting.

  5. I want to watch Joker again, but at the same time I don't. Huh.

  6. Sonic Adventure Mania would be the best scenario TBH. Get rid of the problematic gameplay styles, because we know this would hold back a remake, tune the other characters' gameplay, throw in some new levels along old ones, a new story and bam.

    1. Dr. Mechano

      Dr. Mechano

Could still make characters like Eggman playable but make him less clunky than he was in SA2.

Maybe give him some jet-boosted power armor instead of a big bulky walker, so his gameplay would still be speedy enough to appeal to core Sonic gameplay.

    2. I Have Berry!

      I Have Berry!

Again, it seems odd to do a retro collection with levels from only two games when Gens had 9 and Mania had 4/K games represent, in addition to originals in the later's case.

    3. Menace2Society

      Menace2Society

Who said it had to be only Adventure 1 and 2?

The Adventure area doesn’t just consist of those two games, you know?

A game like this should evoke the same nostalgia Sonic Mania did. I see no better way (and believe me when I say I have the script all in my head) to the game to start than with this (I'll politely ask you to picture the scenes as you read 😁) :

      - We see a blue creature, blazzing fast through a jungle (fan service #1, it's just like SA's opening);

      - The camera gets closer, we already know it's Sonic, but the zoom in on his "Nike smirk" closes the deal, it's our blue hero indeed (fan service #2, the smirk from the Dreamcast Era);

      - As the camera tries to follow Sonic, we see that he has earbuds plugged in his ears, through which we can hear SA's main theme: "Open Your Heart" playing (fan service #3);

      - Sonic arrives at a city area, the speed freak wastes no time and starts running up a tall building;

      - He arrives at the top of the building, the camera now focuses on his shoes and slowly accends to his mouth height, when he smiles and shouts: "-Aw yeah...."

      - The camera zooms out revealing Sonic in full, he continues... "-This looks just like how I remember!". We then get a good look at Station Square, bigger and brighter.

      - "-I wonder if the people from here still remembers me, tho'!" Sonic says, just as a huge Super Sonic balloon gets into scene. The balloon reads "Saviour of Station Square Celebration". He does that nose rubbing with his finger thing and says: "-Yeah, I guess they do".

      - Sonic jumps off the building and speeds through the streets were we can see that a big celebration is indeed happening. Adults and kids on the streets shout at Sonic "-Thank you, Sonic!", cars honk at him. There's people with Sonic hats and even a Super Sonic statue in the town hall. He waves at everyone and smiles "-Gotta go!" he says.

      - He goes straight to Emerald Coast resort. It's bigger than ever as expected, the pool is shapped like Sonic's head, he really is an icon in Station Square.

      - "-I guess there's no better way to enjoy the day than running on the beach" says Sonic as he moves towards the first level in the game...

      EMERALD COAST. The Adventure Continues.

And then I'll keep writing my script.

  7. Finished The Boys (the series). Holy crap.

  8. There's something so cool about the way Superman and the characters in DBZ fly. If magic lamps were a thing, I would totally wish for that ability. Imagine how different society would be if everybody could fly? No cars, no bikes, no planes (although crossing the Atlantic flying must be really cold, but still).

    1. Conquering Storm’s Servant

      Conquering Storm’s Servant

Instead of road rage, there’d be sky rage...

  9. El Camino is literally a 2 hours long Breaking Bad episode. Which is great for me, as a huge fan. But I really doubt someone who didn't watched or didn't liked the series will be able to enjoy most of it.

    1. Mil-O-Lantern

      Mil-O-Lantern

isn't the full title of the film literally "el camino: a breaking bad movie"

what else is anyone supposed to expect from that

    2. Jango

      Jango

Something with a different tone or pacing?

  10. Honestly, I'll be super down for a Simpsons Hit & Run remaster/remake.

    1. TheOcelot

      TheOcelot

      Is the best Simpsons game.

    2. Jango

      Jango

True that. Although I remember quite liking The Simpsons GAME, eventhough I only played the PS2 version.

    3. I Have Berry!

      I Have Berry!

      https://www.gonintendo.com/stories/346427-the-simpsons-hit-run-producer-is-up-for-a-remake-remaster

One of the producer's seems to agree. We already got the demand, we just need to get interest from more of the old staff and then seek out EA's approval. (Or whoever else gets the rights to the Simpsons ID)

  11. Gotta give it to SEGA, they have some of the best musicians in gaming. I really hope they keep the same direction they took with Team Sonic Racing for the next main Sonic game instead of putting all on Ohtani's shoulder (althought he did composed my favorites tunes from that game xD).

    1. Blue Blood

      Blue Blood

Amongst all the awesome tracks from Tee Lopes, Jun Senoue and the other musicians that worked in TSR, somehow Sky Road manages to be my favourite. It's more Forces synth and it's extremely repetitive, but I just love it for some reason. It's the only track that Ohtani contributed to the game as well!

That shouldn't undersell the rest of the soundtrack though. It's one of the best in the series entire history. Hidekuni Horita is one to watch out for; Lost Palace is wonderful. I hope he's brought in to work on future games too.

    2. Jango

      Jango

Oh, I thought Ohtani composed more than just Sky Road. But holy shit, is it a good tune. And you're right about Lost Palace, such an amazing track aswell. Very Sonic-y. Tee Lopes and Hyper Potions are for keeps, definitely. Jun is always great when he's away from cat synths. The featured composers they got are also great.

    3. gato

      gato

SEGA all around is great with music (I think their team is called Wave Master?) and I'm very much in love with their work, to the point I still try to keep up with all their releases despite not even playing some of the games they work on.

    4. Ryannumber1Scarer

      Ryannumber1Scarer

I’m a particular fan of Bingo Party in TSR.

  12. I finally played Sonic Mania on my phone xD PS4 Remote Play works on Android phones now. Gotta say, not bad.

  13. I can't look at Discord's logo and not see Mickey Mouse's pants...

      What are you talking abo-

      ...you son of a bitch.

    2. I Have Berry!

      I Have Berry!

What do ya mean Disney doesn't actually own a video game chatting app already? I thought they were just switching it up from the regular ears silhouette.

    3. Ryannumber1Scarer
  14. Geez, there's more to that Snyder Cut than expected. Martian Manhunter now?

  15. Saw Joker yesterday, pretty great movie. It's gonna get on people's nerves for sure, I had the same feeling after watching the movie "mother!". I can see why this movie could be dangerous for some weak minded folks...

    1. TheOcelot

      TheOcelot

Yeah maybe. Such a good movie though.

    2. Soniman

      Soniman

Is this sarcasm? I honestly can't tell LOL

    3. Jango

      Jango

The movie is violent, pretty violent. It reminded me of "A Clockwork Orange", which indeed caused rage from the media, but it also made some folks commit crimes, Kubrick admited that "maybe" he went too far on that one. I trully believe there are many people who will not see this movie as it is: a movie. But rather a "calling". It happened before. But as usual, let's hope for the best.

    4. Eurisko

      Eurisko

I've heard it can play on your mind after seeing it. I'm glad a movie still has the power to do that.

    5. Dr Egg-Gin

      Dr Egg-Gin

I've already seen one person miss the message of the film so lose your hope now.

    6. Jango

      Jango

It most definitely can play with your mind. It plays with the feeling of empathy and sympathy, but never quite land on any of these fields. Quite. But it does gets closer to empathy, rather than sympathy, which is the right choice at the end. You understand what the man is going through and you understand his pain, but you know he is EVIL. The Joker isn't a hero, nor an anti-hero, he really is a villain in this movie.

    7. Eurisko

      Eurisko

Best description of the film I've read Jango. Nice one.

  16. I don't know if anyone can relate with me, but I really feel disgust of my own nationality sometimes. In 2018~2019 more than ever...

    1. Jango

      Jango

I can't believe a person who says Greta Thunberg is nothing but: "-a hysterical woman who just needs a dick" exists. Even worse, there's people (our own president included) who agrees with this thought.

Seriously, I hate some people of this country and, more than ever, I feel ashamed of telling people I'm from here...

    2. WittyUsername

      WittyUsername

I been disgusted with the US since at least 2016.

Dumb shit like this is why I actually became politically involved.

  17. Why brocoli is so good?

  18. So... When is the next Sonic game? I wanna hate on something :^)

    1. Polkadi~☆

      Polkadi~☆

Just hate on the classic games, or games that people think are good.

Warning, many video game news publications will be sending you applications by the dozen when you do this.

    2. Blue Blood

      Blue Blood

I've given up hating on Sonic, and just hate on myself instead.

    3. Jango

      Jango

      Sonic was never good.

Am I doing it right? Seriously tho', I'm eager for the next one. I think Forces and Mania Plus was the turning point for Sonic Team. Hopefully they'll not make the same mistakes... One of these next games NEEDS to be a sequel to Sonic Mania tho', unless they're completely blinds.

    4. Blue Blood

      Blue Blood

I dunno. I want to think that Mania and Forces were turning points, as examples of what the series should and shouldn't be doing respectively, but I find it hard to believe. How many chances has the series had? And how many false starts have there been?

Of the team that worked on Mania, we know that Stealth is busy on his own project Vertebreaker, so it makes me doubt that another game by the team is in development. And Forces was just so fucking awful, I don't care about what Sonic Team is doing until they give me a reason to care.

    5. Blue Wisp

      Blue Wisp

I remember reading something about the next mainline game being in 2021 and for Sonic's 30th anniversary or something like that?

      So yeah, two years away.

Which might sound good due to development times but on the other hand the wait blows.

    6. Jango

      Jango

Stealth being busy with his own project doesn't rule out a Mania sequel, he was a programmer AFAIK. Pretty sure the rest of the Mania Team have a good base to work on already. I think we need most of all Taxman and the art/music people back. And... Sigh... Iizuka.

    7. Blue Blood

      Blue Blood

Stealth working on something else doesn't rule anything out per se, it just makes it seem less likely because I expect that he would want to be on the project.

    8. Strickerx5

      Strickerx5

Eh, really the only reason I’m even remotely anticipating the next game is because of how many ways it could go. Though, beyond that, nah, I’m good with waiting.

2017 was a complete mess as far as press cycles go so I’m good with Sega and ST taking as long as they want before the next one starts up.

And personally, I don’t want them cranking out another Mania before they get some substantial new ideas for it. I’m not even talking just level themes here either, that’s the base line. Something beyond “What would a Sonic game be if it was released x years/ decades ago.”

  19. Say what you will about the Buu saga, but damn it has some of my favorite songs from the Kikuchi score. I really love the prologue theme.

  20. Just finished Marvel's Spider-Man for the second time (using the Raimi suit most of the time). Easily in my top 5 PS4 games. I love this game.

  21. Well, that didn't take long. How much did Disney asked?

      Pumpkin Spice Ultima

Spiderman's back in the MCU apparently!

    3. Ryannumber1Scarer

      Ryannumber1Scarer

According to Reddit, Sony and Disney gets 75%/25% split of the profits, and it sounds like Venom, Spider Verse and other movies might tie into the MCU, or Tom Holland Spidey will appear in them.

    4. Jango

      Jango

THAT Venom in the MCU? Well, can't win them all.

  22. Remember Rian Johnson directed one of (if not) the best Breaking Bad episode. And he also directed the new Star Wars episode everybody hated :V

    1. Spookilator

      Spookilator

Guess he's Breaking Better in one area than the other.

    2. Soniman

      Soniman

The best Star Wars movie you mean

    3. Emperor Robrain-eater

      Emperor Robrain-eater

It should also be noted that he directed what many fans considered the worst breaking bad episode.

    4. Jango

      Jango

How come the same guy direct both the best and the worst episode of a series is beyond me. Talk about wake up on the wrong side of the bed.

  23. So, Trumps' impeachment. Do the american SSMB fellows believe it's happening for real?

    1. WittyUsername

      WittyUsername

No. I mean, technically he'd get impeached by the Democratic controlled House, sure. But removed? The Republican controlled Senate and especially McConnell would turn it into a clown show. McConnell and guys like Graham would go out of their way to defend him.

They're the guys who run the Senate and you'd still need a lot of votes even if the Democrats ran the Senate with a small majority.

The lot is pretty much forced to unconditionally support him. Especially given more Republican senators are vulnerable come 2020.

    2. Strickerx5

      Strickerx5

Lol nope, and also a little too late as well. Lord knows the process, with that big ol hypothetical IF it happens, is probably going to take longer than the time he has left in this term. Add in the right definitely not letting it happen and this is just another false alarm.

Though to further humor this end result, we'd be left with fucking Pence... Someone who is just as bad as Trump but will actually be smart with his bs. With Trump, he literally can't shut up so you can, at the very least, know what he's doing. With Pence, shit would come with little to no warning.

The only positive thing this may bring up is some sort of vote to move forward with the process. An actual record that will clearly mark his supporters. That's the kind of thing the Dems need going forward. A vote like that would mark the the right for the rest of their respective careers once he's out of office.

    3. Speederino

      Speederino

It ain't gonna happen. I think it likely this will pass the Democrat-controlled House and make it to a Senate hearing, but there is no way in shit he's actually gonna be removed from office.

  24. Well, that was that.

  25. Bah, to hell with. I'm gonna watch the State of Play stream. God help us. #BringBackKlonoa
