  1. I wonder if there will be a slim version of the PS5. I got the slim model for every PS console I've owned and I want to keep this.

    1. NegaMetallix

Sony usually release one at least a couple of years into the console's lifecycle, so I'll be surprised if there isn't some kind of slim model by then.

I'm also holding out for a smaller model, mainly because I don't have much room to fit a PS5 currently.

Same dude, I don't want a huge ass videogame console of all things taking too much space. Also, buying consoles on release is something I'll never do. The first batch always comes busted or issues will be found eventually. The PS4 had, the PS3 had... Better wait for the fixed version a year later, hopefully smaller too.

  2. Oy, Sony actually revealed the PS5 price for Brazil and... It doesn't cost a kidney and half a liver. Only a kidney and maybe 3 fingers.

    1. Cayenne

Lord Eternal after seeing that price:

  3. Wait, what, Horizon Zero Dawn 2 is also cross-gen?!!!

  4. God of War 2 teaser, holy shit. This is gonna be awesome.

    1. Conando

Oh shit, really? I missed that. That’s GREAT news.

  6. Unpopular opinion: The Emperor's New Groove is easily one of my favorite Disney movies.

    1. Ryannumber1gamer

...that's nowhere near an unpopular opinion, Emperor typically ranks high on a lot of people's favourites list

That's weird! I read it ages ago that the movie kinda flopped with the critics, but it was indeed very much liked by the general audience.

    3. Milo

the film underpeformed in theaters but it was actually well-regarded by critics, and later became one of the best-selling DVDs in 2001

it also has aged really well in hindsight as one of the very few times disney truly broke away from their formula of musicals. even if it was out of desperation to salvage a production that had gone off-rails, they ended up making a looney tunes-esque slapstick movie that's one of the funniest films in the canon. (regarding that bit about the production: read up on the original version of the film "kingdom of the sun" and watch the documentary film "the sweatbox"...if you can find the latter online)

Back when it released it didn't leave a big mark, but it's very quickly become beloved.  In fact it never really got any negativity from the press or audiences.  It's basically Disney's Road to El Dorado.

I think you can find The Sweatbox on Youtube in its entirety.  Honestly, learning about Kingdom of the Sun's development hell is almost as interesting as Emperor's New Groove is funny.

Can't talk. Some of my favourites are B team sequels like The Tigger Movie and Bambi II.

Emperor's New Groove was an interesting process though, it was like after a while they just subsided to the fact they preferred the comedic aspect so made it the whole thing rather than trying to make a traditional epic.

One of the only Disney movies I can watch these days and not find something to complain about.

So what made it fail commercially? A lack of advertising? I mean, I'm seeing the list of animated films from 2000, and the only films in its vague release window were Digimon and Rugrats in Paris, and I don't think they would have eaten into its margins.

    8. Milo

@Your Vest Friend Looking at the 2000s holiday schedule, I think it's mostly a case of too much competition in general.

The week New Groove was released in was pretty packed for general movie releases. Paramount had What Women Want, Fox had Dude, Where's My Car?, Miramax (owned by Disney) had Chocolat, and Sony (Pictures Classics) had Pollock. The week afterwards was no less busy either (Cast Away, Miss Congeniality, The Family Man, Dracula 2000), and these two weeks [Dec. 15, Dec. 22] were right before the Christmas holiday.

And in terms of family releases/competition, New Groove was released a month after the live-action Jim Carrey Grinch movie, which ruled the holiday season that year (it was #1 in the US for four weeks until What Women Want dethroned it, and ultimately finished its box-office run as the then-second highest-grossing holiday film of all time behind Home Alone). Disney also had 102 Dalmatians (their sequel to their 1996 live-action 101 Dalmatians remake) still running in theaters at the time as well.

  7. I don't know if any other country in the world has a president/minister that makes sex jokes to a child during a live stream. But we have. I'm 100% not making this up. This happened last thursday.

And here I thought no one could trump Trump’s “grab’em by the pussy...”

  8. >Country has over 130K deaths by Covid, with 1K deaths per day 2 months straight.

    > President says we're defeating the Covid and that our country is one of the less affected by it in the world.

I don't know in which world this guy lives or if he speaks this shit on purpose.

  9. Man, I'm loving my new LG 4K TV.

  10. I'm still impressed by the level of detail that went into THPS 1+2's graphics. It's absolutely stunning. I think the ambients are on pair with Spider-man or even GTA 5 honestly.

    1. Boomer

      The Mall looks insane.

    2. Jango

Man, every level looks insane. I especially like Downtown, the neon lights reflecting on the puddles, HMMM

  11. I love Bryan:

Think I'll dust my SP books and give  them a 5th read.

  12. Welp, Scott Pilgrim is back in every platform. Cheers.

  13. Sands of Time Remake looks off, especially the character models.

  14. Yep, Sands of Time Remake leaked ahead of time. Ironic *in Palpatine's Voice*

  15. SCOTT PILGRIM news later today. Please release the game on all platforms!

    1. KHCast

  16. Now this is exactly what was missing from CTR Nitro-Fueled:

These cards would've helped newcomers to understand who the heck are those 2 mimes.

  17. The singing lion video gets me EVERY time. I love that shit

  18. Lots of gaming stuff dropping today, wow. Is this E3?

    1. FReaK

announcing stuff like that is so much cooler then E3. I always felt there is nothing happening in gaming world after E3 each year.

    2. Crow the BOOLET

      Crow the BOOLET

      Its CROW DAY!

Of course they're announcing everything on this special and important day!

  19. Sometimes I forget that SEGA actually made Super Sonic a paid DLC at first.

  20. Dang, I'm addicted to THPS1+2. Now all we need is 3+4 and Underground remake in one big package. Vicarious Visions nailed that shit. They did it much better than the Crash remakes.

  21. Watching The Boys S2 and damn, I thought Homelander couldn't be any worse than he was in Season 1, yet here we are.

  22. Dang, THPS 1+2 is frying my PS4. It's making more noise than when it's playing TLoU2 o.o

  23. I don't understand the point of this fake Eggman Pirate TV ad and I didn't find it funny either, so..... Okay?

  24. Guess we're going on a Sonic aventure next after all
