What did they do this time?

Some people are saying you need to make an Ubisoft account to play online (which I think it's something they've been doing for some time, but I can't confirm since the last Ubisoft game I bought was Rayman Legends lol) and you also need this account to unlock Knives, which was a DLC in the original release.

Yeah, I got Scott Pilgrim on PS4 and whoever said that is talking out of their ass. Not only is Knives playable as soon as you boot the game up, there is zero UPlay connectivity, compared to other Ubisoft games. 

You can connect to Ubisoft Connect in-game, but unlike every other Ubisoft title, there's no in-game challenges or rewards that you can gain through UPlay/Ubisoft Connect.

Idk where this rumour has emerged from, but it's bullshit, every piece of content is playable out of the gate.

It also uses the normal PSN stuff for online play, nothing about Ubisoft accounts.

Great to hear. I read that on ERA, the person claiming these things had the Switch or Xbox version, I can't remember which now, but it was not the PS4 version IIRC. It's probably still there, it was posted on the OT.

Yeah, Ubisoft does make you sign in to get Knives. I found confirmation by hunting through their support page.
