  1. Wasn't THQ's president the former Naughty Dog co-founder Jason Rubin? And didn't THQ ended?
  2. Sony I guess? Never heard anything about Sony rushing their first party studios, they always let them work free. Coincidentally, the original CTR was published by Sony and everybody on Naughty Dog seemed to agree it was miles better working to them than... Universal. But yeah, Activision are huge assholes. Sigh. Sometimes I wish Sony could buy Crash and Spyro from Activision. Tawna Tops. Oh. Wait. Hehehe.
  3. Hm, I just noticed that they completely changed the finishing line. There's a big stairway with a checkered carpet and a big ass trophy on top of it instead of the bleachers like an actual raceway... Not sure about this now. Also, there's the Crash 3's medieval castle far in the background (not the blue one) for no real reason. Hm. Still lovely, but not sure about the finishing line change.
  4. Oh my God they turned Coco Park into Disneyland. And I love it, holy moly this is so colorfull!
  5. Well, one thing I'm curious to hear are the interactions Eggman has with everybody else hahaha *Eggman sends power-up to Sonic* Sonic: thanks.. but no thanks Doc. Also, is there friendly fire in this game?
  6. Man I keep forgetting that Boku no Hero does that dim of the light in some scenes and I keep thinking it's my TV broken lol

Team Sonic Racing - Upcoming Sonic Racing Game

It will probably be just like Sonic Free Riders, with maaaaybe an intro and ending cutscene at best.

We already knew this, but the story will be told with still images and talking bubbles. Lovely, I expected no less.
  9. It just makes me sad for them. Actually, not just sad, but also simpatize. The art industry can be nasty, as well put by @Rowl. The developers' health should be over the game's quality, always, one thing will influence on another. No human being works better or delivers better when under great pressure, sick or tired, that shit is a myth. There's a certain point after long hours of works that it just won't go anymore. I work in a creative field (graphic design) and I've done some, arguibly too many, overtimes. 12 to 15 hours a day isn't right. Artists/creatives tend to be perfectionists, which is another thing to consider, they always want to deliver the best, but when deadlines and higher-ups' pressure don't allow it, they crack. I hate making a half-assed work just to deliver in time. I know that's "how the market is", but it ain't ideal. I wouldn't have minded another 2, 3, even 6 months delay, as long as the developers were free to give their best on their time. And even then, the Trilogy still managed to be great, so beyond sad, I'm amazed by these two teams. I'm sure if they were given the correct development time (seriously, less than a year to build 3 big games from the ground up?) the game would've turned even greater. Still, it's amazing what we got by November.
  10. Sometimes I forget Lost World had this gem:

Man, I miss Adventure a bit now.

  11. Still unbelievable what they achieved. They probably really started developing (modeling, animating, rendering) in January 2018, which is crazy. I am sad.
  12. Well, we didn't got Spyro on Switch today, but we got this: If you don't have time to watch the video right now, here's some highlights: TL;DR Activision were assholes as usual, rushed the Toys for Bob and Sanzaru and made them work overtime everyday to finish their product... Because of that, the game didn't had the level of polish the teams wanted and couldn't feature stuff that would've made it the definitive version, like the original graphics toggle. We are not worthy TFB and Sanzaru. I'll be writing them a letter later on for the miracle they've performed under such nasty work conditions by the publisher. I'm so fucking angry with Activision. Fuck you again, Activision.
  13. It's gonna get the Woody Woodpecker treatment at best, pal.

Oh sheesh, just read about it, what the heck... I suppose they can re-record Omega's lines, there's plenty of time still. Shouldn't be that troublesome. He voiced a lot of characters, rather big VA. But you know the old saying, the bigger they are...
  15. Ya Switch owners are gonna get Spyro today. You better motherducking buy it.

Just so long as it's all actually there on the cartridge.

@JokerJovahexeonJoranvexeon I believe it will all be on there, as Switch games are a lot smaller than the console versions. Like Crash for instance was around 20GB for PS4 and 5.2GB for Switch.

So basically it's compressed graphics that make it use less space. Now there may still be a patch to fix bugs/glitches. Plus there's those 64GB cartidges due for release this year, so the entire Trilogy should fit onto 1-cartridge. No downloads required.

    4. Mr Loopone

      Mr Loopone

Oh I will be buying it providing that it gets a physical release and more so if its in one cart.

@Blueknight V2.0 It isn't that simple I'm afraid. Most publishers like to stick to either the 8GB or the 16GB mark, the latter being more expensive and shows in most cases. Quite a few Switch games also require downloads to play, to name a few L.A. Noire, NBA 2K 18 and 19, Wolfenstein 2, the upcoming Final Fantasy X/X-2.

Say Spyro trilogy did come to the Switch and it isn't a download only like Crash Team Racing was at one point, it would have to compress the graphics and sound as well as all the graphics in a lower resolution and simpler models. Only that compression can only go so far and the Spyro trilogy is much much bigger than Crash in terms of content. Oh and there are two soundtracks too unlike Crash. So in an ideal world, the game would just about fit a 32GB cart except... This is Activision that we are talking about though so they'll go for a 16GB cartridge with downloads and works out more expensive than buying a PS4/Xbox One copy.

Besides the only games that used even the 32GB cartridges are Dragon Quest Heroes 1 and 2 double pack that is Japan only as well as the complete version of Final Fantasy X/X-2 for the Asian market. Yep, the US/EU version only has the first game with the second being a download. Even then DQH is one of the most expensive Switch games made and only now the cheapest price is $70+, it was more before. Final Fantasy 12 is rumored to be 32GB and might be the first outside of Japan but don't know yet. 64GB? You'll be lucky to even get a game. If a 64GB Switch game does come out, it'll be expensive as anything.
