  1. Short answer - no. Longer answer - his portfolio speaks for itself. The only game out of the whole list that's considered "good" was Colors, and even then I feel like it's a fluke, since the reception at that time was a blind "it's daytime stages only, so it's good!!!". While yes, one person can't be responsible for all the shortcomings, game design and direction are 2 of the very important aspects of game development that subsequently divide into several smaller aspects, like level design, script, art design(probably), etc. If he is the director and/or game designer for the next mainline Sonic game, I'm already writing it off as "not good" and probably won't even bother with it.
  2. I think the reason why they decided to do that is because the whole thing went viral when the first trailer came out. When the poster was unveiled, while there was a somewhat big negative reaction, it didn't blow up to anywhere near the same proportions as the first trailer did. It was covered by pretty much everyone you'd ever imagine - fans, non-fans, people with big following, Stephen Colbert, a bunch of other late night shows, other mainstream shows, and nearly all of it was in a negative light. It probably got so bad that Paramount might've been hit directly, to the point where they made this decision. Of course, that's only me speculating, but I wouldn't have expected them to do the same if the reaction to the trailer wasn't this big. After all, a huge negative reaction in your address can hit you in the wallet hard.
  3. Ok, so Haunted Castle isn't the only one that tortures my HDD by trying to load it for 30 minutes. Thunder Deck is doing the same thing and it's the final story race. Ugh, Sumo need to fix this fast.

EDIT: 40-something minutes later it still didn't load. Looks like I'm not finishing story mode till a patch, if there even is one in the works

  4. I can't believe Sonic, Tails and Eggman are freaking dead...again!

This time by Edgy the Hedgie

  5. Man, the PC port of TSR is really weird.

On one hand I can get the game at stable 60 FPS on my crappy laptop, but on the other hand both the game and laptop freaking die when loading Haunted Castle, and only Haunted Castle.

Like, at one point I had to wait for 20 or so minutes to load that track. I know HDD sucks on the laptop, but even heavy games load faster than this 1 track.

The game has also just been randomly breaking for me whenever I click out of the window. At launch things were fine but now whenever I do it, the fps can get cut in half. Though when I got to click on something on my other monitor the frames go back to normal (but I can't actually interact with anything in the game then). Forces me to restart every time.

The load times are still insane though. Was looking at some PS4 footage and holy shit. Even loading in the character models for the garage takes a bit. I would've been way past done with that shit by now.

  6. Ok, Square is just fucking with us now

"Well, we put in a lot of effort making these models only to find out they won't be in 3 at all. Oh well, better not let these go to waste."

    2. Teoskaven

      Teoskaven

Dissidia NT uses a different art style compared to KHIII though and these costumes were datamined in 2018, it's just bad timing with the release window.

Why is Square tearing out the heart of @KHCast like this?

    4. KHCast

      KHCast

K, Square really better be adding FF characters into 3 via dlc, cause the constant marketing and selling of the KH FF designs, implying they know the popularity of them, (and also putting kh into ff properties) while saying kh can do without them, is really getting on my nerves

  7. Oof, this kinda hurt, Square.

    1. KHCast

      KHCast

Oh fuck off square. They market the FF KH designs/characters knowing they’re popular, but then also act like kh doesn’t need the ff characters. Ugh.

That comment section is probably not happy, and I don't blame them.

...I legit thought the negative responses where in reference to him not being in KH3. I feel stupid.

  8. Did any of you ever have that kind of morning when the first thing you see is the Clown responding to the drama surrounding him?

I don't really follow political news in general, let alone US (outside of very rare occasions), but fair enough.

I meant a different clown though.

  9. So 2 things are happening in PC gaming industry:
    - Epic Games Store is having a sale that is pretty interesting. If the game costs 14.99 or more, the game automatically gets a 10-dollar/euro/local currency cut. The devs don't lose the profit either, since those 10 bucks are coming from Epic's wallet. Now this kind of competition I actually like, cuz it benefits both the devs and the consumers. I won't be buying anything still, since there's still a lot of bullcrap, but this I actually am not opposed to. Also you can pre-order David Cage's games. Now pleeeease add basic functionality and stop actually moneyhatting games away from Steam.

    - You can pre-order Octopath Traveler on Steam, and it costs... 60 dollars/euros. Ah, Square and their love to overprice games that are not-so-freshly made. Like, call me entitled, but 60 euros is a bit much for a PC port of an almost 1-year-old game, no? Anyway, funny how that game's spec requirements are actually less than TSR's.

  10. Looks like we got direct footage of TSR for Switch version aaaaand it runs at 30 FPS.

      Nvm it's up now bye

  12. I'm kinda double-minded on the "episodic" structure. On one hand, sure, they're gonna ask for quite a fortune to get the whole FF7 experience remade, even if it's 3 parts. And of course there's a possibility of them just not finishing the game coughHalf-Life On the other hand, Square did state that each episode is gonna be like a full-scale game, akin to the XIII trilogy, which iirc are pretty lengthy (like, 40 or so hours apparently). If they'd not do that, the released product would either have a lot of stuff cut compared to the original, or it just wouldn't release till at least PS6, and people wouldn't forgive that. I'm just kinda glad the remake exists, especially as someone who just can't get into the original mostly because how outdated and unpleasant it looks.
  13. >wake up

    >FF7R remake teaser trailer, more info in June

And all is right in this world.

  15. Not sure if you had the video on low volume or what, cuz you can clearly hear characters start talking during the story cutscenes in that footage. That said, they've been stating since the game's announcement that the story is gonna be a bit more light-hearted and somewhat simple, so don't expect anything on the level of the first 2 Riders games.
