  1. Since the #RatchetAndClankLifeOfPie pilot episode dropped a few days ago, I've been wondering.

Seeing as we got confirmatio that the special/pilot is Not canon to the main series nor Rift Apart. Does this take place during the Re-Imagining timeline? Or is it part of an entirely brand-new timeline?

    Let's take a look!

  2. A Pilot for a Brand New ratchet & Clank TV Show just dropped today, I managed to watch it, so here are my thoughts on it!

  3. The release date for Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart has FINALLY been revealed! June 11th is the date! With Pre-Orders now live & their packed full of extra surprises! Let's Check It Out!

  4. The Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time ports are arriving on the PS5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch next month! With a PC port releasing later this year, Let's Check It Out!

  5. in the past few days following the announcement that Roger Craig Smith left his role as Sonic & the reveal of Sonic Prime. Multiple voice actors from the Sonic series have been confirmed to be making their exit as well. Even the writers, Pontaff. Suggesting a Major Recast is happening. Let's Check It Out!

  6. And it doesn't stop. 1st it was Roger stepping down from his role as Sonic. Then Tails' current VA confirms she will Not reprise her role in Sonic Prime, but never said anything about the games or film sequel. Amy's current VA confirms she is leaving the role & now there's the possibility that Mike Pollock, who's voiced Dr. Eggman since 2003's Sonic X, may be getting replaced as well. Despite surviving the last recast in 2010.

Look, outside of the Movie, Mike Pollock has been the best voice Eggman has ever had! No question! He perfectly captures the psychotic, evil genius that Eggman is. I don't think anyone else could do it nearly as well, for games or a TV show.

  7. Sonic Prime, a brand new 3D CGI cartoon based on the Blue Blur has been officially announced to release on Netflix next year...again! Only this time, we have a logo & details! Let's Check It Out!

  8. Since Sonic Prime is confirmed to have a multiverse, I'd wager that Blaze is already outright confirmed to appear because of that. Seeing as she's an alternate dimension version of Sonic.

    1. Diogenes

      Diogenes

she's really not "confirmed" at all. there's no reason to assume the multiverse in the show includes any of the alternate dimensions we've seen before, or even any of the "main" dimensions of any sonic canon, especially considering the press release calls it a "strange new multiverse".

    2. Lord-Dreamerz

      Lord-Dreamerz

We can hope. But in no way does the new series simply being about multiple dimensions promise exactly anything. But offhand it does sound like she would be a great fit for the vague idea.

  9. So here's my take on Roger dropping from his role as Sonic.

1st of all, He's the only VA (who voiced Sonic) to keep the role for as long as he did. About 3-years longer than Jason Griffith.

2ndly, I did enjoy his work as Sonic. However, it wasn't until Boom started when I've come to appreciate his role as Sonic a bit more. Because Colors & Lost World just wasn't really doing it for me. Boom is where Roger & the rest of the cast improved upon how they do these characters (Shadow until Season 2 anyways). Which carried over into Forces & TSR.

So yeah, I can see why some people will miss him voicing Sonic. Was he the best Sonic VA? Maaaybee, 3rd best behind Jason Griffith & Ben Schwartz. But that's if I had to rank Sonic's VA's.

Either way, I wish him luck on future projects.

But now my main question is "Who will take over the role?" Not that it would affect the next games tone or anything, but I'm just throwing it out there.

Maybe it would have to do with the upcoming cartoon that got leaked for Netflix. Maybe Sega decided that it was time to swap VA's again (if some VA's being switched in TSR is anything to go by). Who really knows.

  10. It's a New Year & time for some more Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart news! Featuring returning fan-favorite gadgets, Lawrence teasing & More in a recent article! Let's Check It Out!

  11. The New Year 2021 is upon us! So I'm taking this opportunity to take a look at what we can expect from Crash Bandicoot, Sonic and Ratchet & Clank in the year ahead!

Let's Get Into 2021! I'll see you there!

  12. Man, Cyberpunk makes Sonic '06 & Boom: RoL look like absolute gems.

...Nah, Cyberpunk doesn't begin to rival how terrible those are.

Also, ASM1 is a decent game, ASM2 is the buggy one.

    3. Supah Berry

      Supah Berry

      - New big game with a lot of hype releases with a lot of bugs

      - People say its worse than Sonic 06/Superman 64/Notable Bug-filled Game

      - Rinse, Repeat

    4. Crow the BOOLET

      Crow the BOOLET

Um pretty sure Cyberpunk doesn't have the part where a girl kisses a dead hedgehog on the lips

    5. Blue Blood

      Blue Blood

This is such a laughable case of wilful tunnel vision and hyperbole.

@Ryannumber1Santa Is that ASM1? My mistake, I was under the search for ASM2 & that image came up for an article talking about the game & thought it was the right one. I had no idea that the 2-games varied soo much in appearance.

    7. Tarnish

      Tarnish

Well, at least Rise of Lyric wasn't pulled from the Nintendo Store as far as I know, so there's that.

  13. So  something odd happened today. 2 Sam's Club packages arrived in our name, yet we did Not order them. Nor do we shop at Sam's Club.

Both contained food, which I'm honestly Not complaining about. But what's puzzling is that we cannot figure out who exactly sent them.

My guess is that it's someone who wished to remain anonymous while sending out Christmas gifts. I have no idea the reason, but that's the best I could come up with.

  14. My Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart Music Video I intended to release for the series' 18th Anniversary last month. Enjoy! :)

  15. Heard about that, but didn't know about it releasing in 2022. 👀
  16. Let me rephrase that, 1st Modern Sonic animated TV series since Sonic X.
  17. Okay, so it's been about a day since the reveal was announced then deleted 10-minutes later. So here's my thoughts on this whole thing. 1st off, 2022. That's such a long time away, especially since Netflix shows typically get announced about a year before premiere (E.g Skylanders Academy). Likely it'll be released in the Fall of 2022. I know it's coming out the same year as the Movie sequel, but that doesn't mean it's gonna be Movie based. It'll help promote the film, but outside of Sonic himself it won't be connected. Likely. 2ndly, Modern Sonic based (going by the render & what was posted a couple pages back). This'll be the 1st Modern Sonic based cartoon since Sonic X. And that is where the majority of my excitement is coming from. Because Sonic X, the English dub, is what got me started on the Sonic series before getting into the games like Unleashed & Rivals 2. This also presents the opportunity for characters like Silver & Blaze (both in my Top-5 Sonic Characters list) to finally have a part in a Sonic TV show since their respective introductions in 2005 & 2006. 3rdly, Netflix. While I currently do not have the service, I do believe that this Sonic cartoon is in better hands after the whole Cartoon Network debacle with shoving Sonic Boom over to Boomerang for it's 2nd season. Which, from what I've been hearing, Mega Man Fully Charged got similar treatment. But even if Sega had gone with Nickelodeon, they probably would've still done the same thing CN did with Boom. Examples being My Life As A Teenage Robot (booted to Nicktoons for it's 3rd & final season) & El Tigre being cancelled because they were not as successful as Spongebob. This way, there's no schedules to place the show in or anything like that. Anybody can watch it, anytime they want to. Not to mention that Netflix has already been a good place for video game based TV shows like Skylanders Academy, Castlevania & a few others. Next up is format. Is it gonna be the 11-minutes of comedy Boom provided? Or 22-minute episodes of something closer to the games, more action & story focused? I don't know, but I'm personally thinking the latter since this is Modern Sonic we're talking about. Don't get me wrong, I really liked Sonic Boom for what it was (which was also CGI). It was certainly better than most of what CN was airing at the time. But the 22-minute action/story focused format seems to be a better fit if you ask me. 'Cause that's what Sonic X's format was & Season 3 turned out the best in the series. So therefore it can balance out darker moments with some lighthearted moments. So long as we have some good writers working on it. I mean I get it, it's Man of Action, who's responsible for Ben 10 (which I grew up & caught up with until about the Alien X episode of Alien Force). Which managed to keep the same quality (writing/animation) up until Ultimate Alien ended. But their also responsible for MM:FC, which to a lot of people was a dud on their part. I can't say anything about that because I ain't seen it. I mean, no show is perfect. Skylanders Academy didn't start getting better until about half way through the 1st season & it picked up from there. It was a different interpretation of that universe (to an extent Crash Bandicoot) that put Spyro front & center. Something that the games didn't exactly do outside the 1st game & Imaginators. I don't think it's gonna turn out like MM:FC or even that CGI Pac-man cartoon from a few years ago...oohh boy! From my understanding, Pontaff had a hand in that shows writing & after watching a seasons worth of episodes, yeah. I was clearly Not the shows demographic. Pac-Man & the ghosts look good, so are their interactions...but that's about it. I'm sure the shows games turned out better. Anyways, the most I can see this Sonic cartoon turning out to be, & the only other show on Netflix I can compare it to is Dreamworks Dragons. Unlike Skylanders Academy, the story wasn't it's own interpretation. It served as a bridge between the 1st & 2nd films (Sonic's likely Not going this route since it's Modern Not Movie Sonic). It had it's own one-off episodes like all shows do, but this had a consistent tone across the entire series. It was darker, had deeper story elements that (from what I'm aware of) most modern cartoons don't have. Yes, Puss in Boots (on Netflix) had deeper, darker elements. But it moreso resembled a action/comedy show than a story driven show. Plus the ending had too many plotholes, I'll say that much. But that's just how I see a Sonic show handling the tone & writing. With Sega having their hand in the mix, I'm sure it's Not gonna turn out like MM:FC or even Skylanders Academy. But I'm moreso imagining an IDW Sonic comic tone & I absolutely enjoyed what the IDW comics have done with the series. Truly the best mix of story telling & writing I've seen this series have in quite some time. While also pulling a lot from the games source material, as well as given characters like Blaze actual story involvement post Rush Adventure (or Team Sonic Racing to an extent). If the show can pull off what the IDW comics did in a TV format, I'd be really happy with the results. But at the end of the day, it's more Sonic content. I'm Not expecting it to pull off an Unleashed intro in the 1st 5-minutes ( seeing as it a CGi cartoon), but from what we can gather right now I'm very excited for it! Despite it still being 2-years away.
  18. The Animaniacs are back after 22-years! But instead of talking about their Reboot, I'm gonna be talking about one of their 1st ever video games! Specifically on the Sega Genesis, Let's GO!

    https://youtu.be/vDdy9RCWr8s

Also my 1st ever game review.

  19. It looks like a brand new Crash Bandicoot project is in the works according to the series' OG concept artist, Charles Zembillas! What exactly could this new Crash project be? Let's Take A Look!

  20. With the 1st Ty the Tasmanian Tiger successfully ported to all current-gen systems, we got a recent update regarding Ty 2's HD port on consoles. As well as the DoomeRanger comic (a Kickstarter backer benefit) setting up Ty 5's story!? Let's Check It Out!

  21. A new trailer & some new details have dropped for Crash Bandicoot n The Run! Including the return of Fake Crash...again! Let's Check It Out!

  22. I think I found either a Sega Genesis or an SNES in the Animaniacs Reboot trailer.

Looks more like it has a disc drive in it instead of a cartridge slot.  I'm assuming this takes place in their old home in the tower, but that TV it's attached to looks newer than what I'd expect it to be. They don't seem like they'd been completely stuck in the 90s after the original show concluded.

  23. The Evil Twins, who are they? And could they return to the Crash Bandicoot series in this new timeline established in Crash 4? Let's Discuss It!

  24. I just heard that there was a Sonic animation in Spider-Man PS5. Anyone know where this was spotted?

  25. So recently, a page for Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart was found recently! And there was some more details than what we previously knew. Let's check It Out!
