  1. Need some advice. I wanna finish this super hero comic book I started years before I started getting back into watching anime. I just started back watching it this year and I see a lot of similarities my book has with My hero academia with my characters and their abilities, but my book has a wayyy different, off the wall kinda plot. How can I prevent my work from looking like a ripoff or what is considered stealing ideas and making them obvious?

  2. Deadly six? More like the deadly potatoes:

  3. Started binge watching megaman nt warrior. I don't know if it's the English voice acting, the jokes or the ridiculous looking fight scenes but this show is unintentionally hilarious to me. I'm not saying it's bad but I'm having reactions to this show that I didn't expect.

  4. If vision walked in the middle of a Wal-Mart, would he be the vision center?

Disappointment: the feeling when you hear the City Escape intro but then the rest of the instruments kick in and it turns out to be the instrumental version.

  6. So someone uploaded a long lost sonic game called......

    Sonic kart

.which is basically sonic drift 3

Sooo... this game... What else can the community dig up in terms of Sonic games lost or betas?

  7. Dug up something from this place from a topic from 19 years ago. I'm sure very few know what this is:

OMG so this is a cave now?

they probably took inspiration from Sonic 2 8bit, Underground Zone... ironically, Hot Crater features a similar setting.

  8. Sonic advance 2 final boss is just a stationary death egg robot with a laser.

    1. Blue Blood

      Blue Blood

I think it's funny that the Final Boss in Advance 2 is the only one the game that you don't fight whilst running.

    2. Iko

      Iko

That final boss (along with the boss rush part) is the only thing that I outright dislike of that game. To compensate for that though, there is the Super Sonic boss, which is still my all time favorite Super Sonic boss in the entire series, though the method for unlocking it is painful.

    3. JezMM

      JezMM

I do wonder if their intention was the final boss to be imposing via having it literally be "the end of the road" after an entire game of constant forward momentum.  It doesn't quite stick the landing for whatever reason (the music is one of the weaker songs in the soundtrack IMO which is probably a big part of it for me, but also due to the history of the series it just feels like a "normal" boss after a whole game of the freshness that constant movement provided) but I can respect the idea if that was their intention.

I was thinking the same thing @JezMM.

Just now I realized how this final boss is a reference of all the final bosses of the classic trilogy: the stomping pillars from Sonic 1, the Death Egg Robot hands from Sonic 2, and the big laser from Sonic 3 & Knuckles. I never noticed it so far.

Also with Cream and Tails you can do this:

      spacer.png

As Tails it's even easier, but as Cream it's more fun because there's more timing involved.

  9. It would be cool like, to see a sonic game with nothing but massive boss battles. Like cuphead. Also, build it so you can use terrain to your advantage. Having 5 or 6 normal stages is good too for leveling up stats and collecting rings as long as the boss fights take up most of the game and are interesting.

Just make something happen in the game at all times because just straight up running through zones is getting tiring for me now. I want to be chased by a huge robot or outrun a tsunami. I wanna plow my way against an a avalanch or fight a giant silver sonic that can turn into a giant spiked steel ball of destruction that destroys the stage. The bosses should have varying phases too.

      Lord-Dreamerz

I wouldn't mind a boss rush game. For as extremely awkward as it was, I stilled enjoyed the fangame Eggman Hates Furries. However I do like having a normal fun level to explore before a boss, because i prefer variety in gameplay. Also doing only one activity repetitively wears itself thin quickly for me and doesn't feel like it builds up to anything.

    2. Iko

      Iko

I'm not sure about a game made of just bossfights, but I agree that the stages should have more events happening during the gameplay to add variety and in-game storytelling. A boss that you meet several times through the zone and messes up the whole stage before getting into the actual fight would be nice (a similar thing already happend in some levels from past games by the way, both classic and modern games).

  10. Someone remind me how dimps put out the critically acclaimed advance games but then went downhill with the sonic 4 episodes. Did some members leave the team or something?

    1. Dejimon11

      Dejimon11

Well it started with a game called “Sonic Advance 2

    2. Mr Loopone

      Mr Loopone

Last time I checked the credits for Sonic 4 Episode 1, it was outsourced to other companies. When it got to the 360/PS3 era (7th gen), outsourcing had become more common. It had many of the same staff that worked on the Rush games with a few even back from the Advance series but also some first timers who had later worked on other Dimps games (e.g. Freedom Wars, SAO Fatal Bullet) and others not from Dimps.

I know for Episode 2, Tose Shanghai (or was it Sega of China?) were involved. Tose are pretty secretive when it comes to credits but not as much as in the past. Sugarcut was also involved but the company was not credited (they were credited as "Dimps", similar thing that happened with Now Production on Sonic Riders), an obscure developer that worked with Yukes on the WWE games and JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Eyes of Heaven. Sugarcut also worked on Generations and Lost World 3DS.

  11. I was thinking of getting back into one piece but this pic pretty much sums the whole thing up:

      Spin Attaxx

It pretty much sums up Dragon Ball, too.

  12. It would be cool if after you beat the sonic colors remaster 100%, a teaser trailer for the next new sonic game pops up outta nowhere.

    1. Ferno

      Ferno

It would probably be posted to YouTube by somebody 3 hours after the game came out

  13. So I visited my brother for the weekend and we enjoyed each other's company playing ps5 games. I ended the night by playing sonic forces and I beat it within two hours. It's just as linear as expected. Modern sonic's gameplay felt the weakest of the two. There were moments where I would fall off the stage for some reason even when going the right direction. The stages were too short.

The avatar character became a chore as well. I was expecting to be able to switch wispons during gameplay but it's only one at a time. The lightning Wispon sucked. Drill was a little fun but felt limited in its placement. I only felt safer using the first wisp. Even in tag team levels I would only just play as modern sonic because of how janky the avatar is. The climax in metropolis zone was still a letdown for not having an eggman and infinite team up boss fight. "Ok we escaped from null space let's kick butt!" "Nah, Screw that. We out."

Next, classic sonic gameplay was alright to me. It was no mania or generations but it was ok, just too many speed booster that suffocate the physics that barely were there. There were some moments where I felt like I had good flow in ghost town, green hill, and chemical plant. Iron fortress is easily the worst stage because of the autoscroll part for me.

    So....6/10

Kinda? She wields Chaos Magic now but you know, its Wanda. She's not trying to be bad, people are just afraid of her and now she's not afraid of doing stuff with her magic. Even if its messed up. Like really messed up.

  18. Super mario galaxy is such a relaxing and chill game. It's like one huge lofi experience. For a really relaxing experience, I suggest turning everything else off in the house, play in a dark room cuddled up in a blanket with your favorite beverage. Try it, it's like therapy.

I...honestly have to disagree. At least on a 100% run. There's some stars in there that are absolutely frustrating to get.

      Blue Blood

I'm glad someone else said it. 100% or not, "relaxing" is one of the last words I'd use to describe Mario Galaxy.

The stars seemed pretty easy to me in 1. Mario galaxy 2 was the one I had trouble with.

    4. Blue Blood

      Blue Blood

Galaxy 1 isn't particularly difficult outside of some specific stars, at which point out gets really intense. But it's not relaxing.

I guess the music in some areas and a few sound effects really get to me. Really, mostly aesthetic wise for me, it gets relaxing.

  19. Anybody remember what game this is from? Because I don't.
