  1. I remember someone saying along the lines of this, but I think after the 30th anniversary Sonic Team should an anniversary game very 10 years instead of 5.

I don't think we should get anymore "anniversary games" at all. Just make a regular game and stick an anniversary sticker on the front or something.

Literally what Clewis said. SA2 was the tenth anniversary game and it marked the occasion with nothing more than a GHZ remake as the 100% completion bonus. '06 as the 15th anniversary game was intended to include soundtracks from past games as unlockable music in the game. Both were just run of the mill new games, with anniversary themed bonuses (cut content in the case of '06).  Generations was totally fine as a celebration of the big milestone that was 20 years. The series needs to stop being so aware of its anniversaries now.

They shouldn't make any more anniversary games until his 50th. An anniversary game should be a big event like Generations was but if Sonic Team keeps doing anniversary games or anniversary styled games like Mania and Forces, it makes them seem pointless and some a bit tiring if they keep using Green Hill, Chemical Plant etc into future games.

Then again will Sega be around in 24 years time, will Sonic still be there for Sega releasing new games instead of being put into their catalogue like a lot of their series, will Sonic still have enough fans to celebrate his 50th and will we be around then?
