    That exactly I see as a problem in the franchise. There are just people that have some regards to the games (be it classics or Adventure or Unleashed, Colors, LW, Forces) that when you say something like this... that it was done right in there, the people just talk about you letting down everything else.
    People should regard games where it´s due, that´s why I don´t hate any Sonic game that much, but man, Generations did a hell lot of good job to think of Sonic in a really 3D environment. Not the gameplay, but the touches for the surroundings are astonishing.
    And everyone is letting down 06. Not Lost World. I take all that 06 done wrong (or that it was still WIP, thus done wrong) but it still has some, even if little, spirit. That´s the end of my poetical speech. Good night.

    I would say that arguing about 06 and Lost World... which one is better ? No one. You are comparing apples with bread. A rotten apple from inside out and bread that you could kill someone with. Both are just blatantly bad in what they tried. But neither is better, both are shit.

    I think I do know what is wrong with that part. When you are going right you come to a room with two ring boxes and a shield, I think. And there you see holes in the BG resembling arrows signaling that you should go right. And well, you can´t. Plus the lower path is not going anywhere, though, it could, if there was a spring at the end. Plus plus, there should have been 2 paths going upwards, not just one, really.

    So, all changes so far:
    General: New Super Sonic sprites, Knuckles´ hitbox adjusted according to the fact Knuckles is slightly taller than Sonic
     
    Zone Specific: 
    Chemical Plant - Tails´ sprite, resembling the unused one, albeit a bit different
    Flying Battery - Hang Glider transition to Press Garden added
    Stardust Speedway - Metal Sonic - Phase 1 unchanged; Phase 2 - destroying Silver Sonic ejects 4 projectiles that can hurt Metal Sonic, one hit less needed to progress further; after Phase 2 - the segment same as Phase 1 shortened to a loop, checkpoint and Phase 3 begins, that sees Eggman throwing the Phantom Ruby to Metal Sonic, sound effect of the Bug Badnik from Titanic Monarch plays, Metal Sonic changes to Kai from Chaotix, albeit blue, roars and the fight begins.
    Metal Sonic roars again and uses laser resembling Sonic Time Twisted battle before Attraction Attack act 2. Or he ejects bombs from the neck. 
    Hydrocity - Slides now FIXED. End of act 2 now has some ruined parts, that essentially make a passage that acts as a transition to Mirage Saloon.
    Oil Ocean - Act 1 boss spikes are either smaller or they are more upwards, therefore only part of them is visible. Only Knuckles will be killed by hitting them. Act 2 is softened, with rings being in oil for a while (not instantly sinking) and the projectiles of boss no longer fire towards the player. Flying submarine takes Sonic and co. to Lava Reef.
    Lava Reef - Unused act 1 route remains unused, albeit with more objects. Heavy Rider fight now takes place over the Lava Reef, with Little Planet in the background (essentially looking like reversed Launch Base boss). Sonic and co. look behind on the Little Planet and the adventure progresses to Metallic Madness. Knuckles´ transition remains intact.
    Metallic Madness - After freeing animals in act 2, Metallic Madness rans out of juice. Only to reveal the huge robot Eggman built nearby. When playing as Tails, he gets freaked out twice.
     
    Tell me if I missed something.

    Wonderful how Generations and ASRT came out in 2011 and 2012 respectively and Forces and TSR coming out 6 years after the respective "prequels" are looking bland, okay-ish and to some even mediocre or awful. I smell 60-63 in Metacritic, at most. And if that does not turn out to be a sign for Sonic Team to not follow the same steps, albeit being off in that, than nothing will be.     They brought up a minefield (Sonic 4), because they thought it will be at least okay flowerbed after the previous attempt was (Sonic Advance). Same that happened with those gardeners (Dimps) is happening with the others (Sonic Team) since Unleashed. 
    The basic thing is this... They had ideas for the Genesis era. After Sonic and Knuckles, Naka, Ohshima and all knew that they did not have any ideas for a new Sonic, thus working on Ristar and NiGHTS. Then when 3D era came into being, they did the Adventure, Adventure 2 and Heroes. The only real Naka´s fault was Shadow. The withdraw from SEGA during 06 development was logical. Even that game didn´t have much creativity. And it just ehm... got further... the "enemies sections" from Heroes/06 were "werehog sections" in Unleashed. And in terms of level, there was nothing new to achieve, that´s why they turned it into 2D with 3D elements. 
    But... the thing about the Boost era games being somehow worse for many people than the others is possible to see around the whole gaming industry. Despite limitations, many older games are much more...ehm... redeemable than the present ones. And that´s not nostalgia, they tend to be simply more fun.

    Cool Edge (or whatever it turns out to be) is nice, but I'm disappointed by the lack of Green Hill so far. If it's not in this game I don't think I'll buy it, because really that's all I look for in a Sonic game. More Green Hill.

    That justifies only one thing - that the DLC was planned from at least few months before Mania release. 
    Because:
    1) the sprites found with S, T, K, M and R letters, with M and R being again Sonic... that´s why 1.04 patch on PS4 changed Mighty and Ray into Sonic (as the sprites weren´t loaded yet)
    2) that Angel Island mini section was planned... MonkeyDude - used there, Sweep ("the water skater one") also used here, I think. Or at least it was.
    Whisp and Caterkiller might have served as possible badniks to return. Maybe Caterkiller was revised into the green one in Mirage Saloon. Mirage Saloon predominantly uses Sonic 2 badniks, although changed a bit.
     
    Plus... rescue mission ? What rescue mission ? In the first place, there is absolutely no reason for Metal Sonic to be playable. And then, what should he rescue ? Eggman or what ?

    I believe it´s a leftover. They ported both zones from Sonic 3 Remastered, remodelled back the beginning part of Act 1 and added into DLC. They just didn´t bother with deleting this mess.
