It's a bunch of Waddle Dees dressed up as Dedede, K. Rool breaks out of the hole Banjo sealed him in and tries to kill Dedede again but gets a spear in the face. Kazooie tells Banjo she wants to go back to sleep.

Oh yeah, I remember hearing about the protest in Hong Kong. So, Tencent was responsible for that. Jesus Christ...
TPC sure picked a winner of a company to team up with for this huh? (or sell out to, whichever the case may be).

    Yes.
They made a whole separate presentation for this. Negative though the reception may seem, you know this game is going to take millions in profits. This title isn't for us or most "gamers". It's good a casual audience who just enjoy Pokémon for being Pokémon.
Although the fact that this is currently the no. 2 trending video in gaming on YouTube and has a 2:1 dislike to like ratio is funny.

Arms is a Mega Man 1 sort of case.
Sure, the first inning wasn't the best, but it certainly wasn't bad.
It could easily stand for a second installment to properly ramp things up a notch.

I dunno how feasible this is but I wonder if they're being secretive about the ARMS character because the big surprise is gonna be that it's a Bowser Jr.-style "every costume is a different character" deal, with them all using an amalgamation moveset representing the whole game.  I didn't get into ARMS so I don't really care either way who it ends up being, and I might be completely underselling the intricacies of the different characters by suggesting they could share a moveset here lol.
I mean they all mainly do punches with springy arms right

EDIT: A friend reminded me that this concept would potentionally be incompatible with Twintelle's animation style of using her hair, and that apparently the fighters all have quite different builds and fighting style within the framework of the ARMS combat system so probably one to disregard. As far as I'm aware, Twintelle is one of the most popular characters so skipping over her would be pretty poorly recieved.

I'm sad it may not come to Switch at launch, but as long as it comes to Switch at all, I'll be happy! Seriously, CRASH 4, BABY. I've waited over 20 years for this, and I'm willing to wait just a lil' bit longer.

I think the coolest thing that surprisingly isn't in the trailers so far is Olivia transforming into the papier mâché (or, as the game apparently calls them, "macho") bosses. Makes sense since we see her brother is capable of shapeshifting as well.
I'm curious what limits there are to this in battles though. Maybe she's put on a cooldown after the attack is done, or you can only do it once per battle or something?

Supah Berry reacted to Won't Stop, Just Go in Paper Mario: The Origami King
It's a step in the right direction but still feels a little on the flashy/gimmicky side. The battle systems to have more thought put into it than before but the resource management is still a turn-off. I'm still leaning toward passing on it or at least waiting a few months for impressions to settle, but there's a lot more to like than before.

We have Goombas and Koopas with hair.

The curse of the generic designs may finally be lifting.
At this rate we'll have Toads who have more than the standard basic platformer design (other than different outfits; I'm talking about things like hair, body type, spot patterns, etc.) and the series will truly be set to right.
Honestly, though. Mustached Koopas are such a big deal, with how adamant Nintendo's been about homogenizing all the designs of each species. The creative boundaries are definitely being pushed, and hopefully soon will be broken through entirely.

I raised my eyebrows at first at two of the bosses being a tray of coloured pencils and a tape dispenser, given that the rubber band guy proves they're perfectly capable of giving the stationery bosses true designs... but on the other hand, they do amazing things with that pencil case in the trailer, the missile concept, the gatling gun, the concept of shutting the lid so its "missiles" are trapped inside - and those kind of hinge on the form and imaginary versatility of its nature as a pure pencil case.  Plus it's kind of hilarious.
Battle system seems to be leaning heavily on the idea of battles as puzzled to be navigated, and I'm okay with that given that it's just a more abstract form of the kind of strategising you have to do in a lot of regular battle systems.  Not surprised that there doesn't appear to be an experience system, given that I get the impression that you can choose any of your five directions to go in from the get-go.  I've got no problem with a durability system in itself; the problem with Sticker Star's limited supply system (which is really what a durability system is too) is that returns from battles were inferior to your expenditure, so battles were literally just an obstacle to be avoided where possible.  So long as Origami King balances it right so that you make a net gain from battles, it should be fine.

Bobby is a named character so that's a megaton, still not sure about the battle system, bosses being stationery is lame as hell.

Supah Berry reacted to Tracker_TD in "Revolutionary" Announcement related to SEGA coming on June 4th
I think the idea is to basically use arcade machine hardware as computers for players to stream their games from, but I believe with lower latency than typical cloud structures due to the idea of 'fog' networking. As Gematsu words it:
I think we'll only truly understand what SEGA wants to do with it once it moves beyond R&D and into actually applying it to some kind of product, but for the arcade business I can see this being a great move, yeah.

It means nothing for us westerners but a Japanese journalist was the one hyping this up, and it seems pretty big for their particular gaming scene. I can respect that more than the MD Mini at least.

I'm kind of having trouble on what it means, though. Is this supposed to pair with the touch screen patent from earlier this week? Would you be able to access their arcade games on a variety of different devices?

Supah Berry reacted to Tracker_TD in "Revolutionary" Announcement related to SEGA coming on June 4th
The Game Gear Mini is something I was actually down for as a silly novelty... until the 4 games thing happened. That's such a bizarre decision, and something I hope won't be the case if it gets a Western version. Such a shame.
    EDIT: That said, Famitsu's interview on it clears things up a bit;
Fog Gaming on the other hand... is terrifyingly, almost exactly what I predicted the big SEGA announcement would be; a means of SEGA leveraging their arcade business into the cloud space. It doesn't sound like it'll be just streaming the arcade games as I expected, but the key point behind it - letting arcade operators continue to earn revenue, even when they have to be closed due to operating hours or now, COVID-19, is what I expected, and I'm very down for the idea! COVID's threatened to decimate Japan's arcade scene (and across the world too), with numerous venues having to crowdfund just to stay afloat; so I'm glad SEGA's stepped up to offer some kind of solution to that.
As big as the PS5 specs? Probably not, no, but I think it's a solid scoop.

how am i supposed to fit six AA batteries in this thing   And as far as pricing goes...   I love the idea of this system, but it doesn't look like anythign other than a cute novelty. And considering the price of of it along with the facts that there are four separate units and that each only hs four games... yeah no.   Anyway, the real big news? Don't get too excited.  It's a type of cloud-based service for Arcades.  Or in this case it's actually "fog-based".   This guy explains it more clearly:

So it's potentially a big thing for Japan and could rile-up the industry a bit in Japan... but revolutionary and on the scale of the PS5 news this it is not. I'm glad that I didn't over-hype this. It was only ever being teased by one journalist for Famitsu, whilst SEGA themselves didn't say a word. It was obviously not going to be amazing. But I'm still surprised that the journalist had the gall to compare it to the PS5 news. It's just not on that level at all.

Okay, so I've got this long video I'm working on and I completed a short animation, I'm now considering other ideas for short animations that could be made while the long one continues to get development. Got one potential idea, not sure on it yet, though.
Meanwhile, I thought I'd share some pictures I made that were created due to interactions with others on the internets.
