  1. New Episode of Future-Hen has me so conflicted. It was nice seeing Monaka again, she became one of my favorite child characters from a video game but at the same time the whole episode without spoiling anything just made Absolute Despair Girls irrelevant and there was another lame ending to the episode to get people to keep watching. The entirety of Dangan Ronpa 3 has just been bait and switch cliffhangers with no follow up or pay off. Just want it to end already so v3 can be a clean slate. The Hope and Despair stuff gets old.

Final Fantasy XIV - Doing the Youkai Watch Event, not really much to say, unsubbing when I get what I want and going to resume waiting for 4.0 to fix this garbage game Starbound - Just came out of Early Access playing it with a friend This game is pretty great, it's like Terraria with a sci-fi theme and Metroid 3, forgot how good this game was it's pretty amazing even when I feel lost and don't know what to do there's still heaps to find and stuff to do to stop you from getting bored. I think Zero Mission is just a little bit better because of the less floaty controls
  3. Probably an animation error, like Naegi has been shown to be running quite a few times in these last couple of episodes. I'm very certain it will probably be Chisa who will be a time traveling Junko Enoshima since Kodaka said he wants to bring that into the series since he's a big fan of the franchise, it's headcanon at this point but I mean, this series has jumped the shark so many times before it's not funny, they'll do it again. edit: Never mind just watched Episode 4, I was right a few posts ago, it's of course they can break the rules a bit
  4. This their way of introducing Sega's characters to people? That'd be neat if it was. I voted for NiGHTS to be in the game.

Sonic games have always reused assets though, every game developer does this Sonic CD reuses Sonic 1's base sprite, Sonic Generations model rips from Colors like the buzzbombers and the motobugs Shadow the hedgehog models rips all character models from Sonic Heroes with the exception of the few human characters whose models are completely new The trailer for Sonic 2017 looked pre-rendered anyways, as long as the game is good I don't mind if they reuse models or repurpose stuff from the older 3D games as long as it's not like Final Fantasy XIV were they rip models from XI, XII and XIII and don't even bother to update the textures for half the enemies.

That drop dash mechanic looks amazing, it's a welcome move that I'd like to see in other remasters basically keeps your momentum going even on flat terrain so you never really have to stop moving. I can't see anything wrong with this addition to Sonic's move set. It's basically like the boost from Unleashed, can always keep moving even in 2D no matter the terrain you're on.
  7. Well for one team they certainly do change things up a lot, probably in their board room meetings they go around the table asking who hasn't pitched an idea to use in a Sonic game. I could understand the constant gameplay shifts with different teams, they're certainly ambitious. The other Sonic Team games like Phantasy Star Online, Burning Rangers and Billy Hatcher were obviously made by different mini teams though right? given they're before 1998 and not Sonic games.
  8. Who worked on Sonic Lost World then? Their C team? I've been told Sonic Colours was their B team where as games like Unleashed and Generations were the main team. Sonic 2017 is a combination of both main and B team?
  9. I'm one of those people. Not overly upset about it but it's why I can't get hyped for stuff like Kojima's new game, what's the deal with naked Norman? What's up with the baby and the cord? What am I watching? What sort of game is this going to be? not to go too off topic, sorry, anyways there's not a whole to go on and there's not much discussion to be had (arguably I guess) it'd be nice to know what we're getting into, maybe that was their intention to get fans to speculate, who's to say? But I'm seeing more confusion than hype in a few places. That other Sonic game is getting a lot of buzz because in that 1minute and 50 something trailer there's so much to talk about because a lot was shown visually, that's just how I feel about trailers for any game with no gameplay, I'll be on the hype or disaster train when gameplay is shown.
  10. There's some neat little throwbacks to other Sega games people have found. I'm a sucker for these things, I love sega in general so this game was made for me, the Segasonic popcorn shop, Daytona reference in the studio zone, can't wait to find more.
  11. Should have called it Sonic the Hedgehog 4, the reaction to this game was way more positive compared to that other weird game pretending to be Sonic 4. Is that Hornet Van a reference to Daytona USA btw?

Thanks for clearing that up but still feel bad for those people who have given up on it, like me almost, even more annoyed that we're essentially getting a tech demo for Kingdom Hearts III with 0.2 that should have been the prologue for III (Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeroes anyone?) and included with III really better impress me. 10 years of waiting can really damage some people's hype.
  13. I hope so, the last Sonic game we got with Sonic on his own was Sonic Lost World and that game was absolutely terrific. I was really thrown off by Classic Sonic too but I'll give it a shot, a sequel to the best recieved modern Sonic game? I'll take it.
  14. Yeah, I don't really get why people are upset over the only modern game in 2010's to actually get a lot of praise over a kinda sequel. Might be Adventure fans wanting their game that's essentially a meme at this point. Would have really liked to see some gameplay though.
  15. Here's my dumb headcanon. Classic Eggman at the end of Sonic Generations knows what his future is going to be like with countless losses on his end so he can now have the advantage against Sonic always being one step ahead of him and Modern Sonic's timeline is changed because of that. Edit: Yay, PC release!

Rewatched some Kingdom Hearts III trailers again and it's reminding me of my frustration of games being announced way too early 2013 trailer - Now in development 2014 trailer - Now in development 2015 trailer - Now in development 2016 trailer - Announcement coming this winter! Call me entitled or whatever but ten years for the next mainline Kingdom Hearts title? Pretty ridiculous and the other games that got released aren't enough to hold me off because I'm always asking "when's Kingdom Hearts III?" What's to be expected from this announcement? I do not know but it'll be nice to have a release date at least. Final Fantasy XV especially, hate to be grim about it too but people have probably died waiting for these games and to quote a video I watched about Kingdom Hearts III some of the best games in Gen 6 got released 1 year or 2 between each other. Development of Kingdom Hearts III, FFXV and Re: Final Fantasy VII has been getting in the way of Final Fantasy XIV resulting in some very mediocre patches because money has been going into the before mentioned games. Final Fantasy IX - 2000 Final Fantasy X - 2001 Final Fantasy XI - 2002 All 3 are great games released one year within each other and there's hardly any flaws with them techinically, Why's the third title of Kingdom Hearts taking so long?

Not a fan of Elise x Sonic but people saying the game was promoting bestiality was people just tacking on complaints for the sake of it when this sort of stuff has been done before in many movies and Disney related things. I get it, the game is bad, everyone knows this, just say Elise kissing Sonic to life was lame no need to go to the extreme. Where was the bestiality complaints when Princess Sara wanted to jump Sonic's bones?
  19. Sonic Colours (Wii) I tolerated it enough to finish it but it's not something I plan to revisit, there's just something extremely off about it when you come from Unleashed. I'm not really a fan of the level design in this game because it just feels like I'm playing Marble Zone in the 2-D sections with very few moments where I can go fast and platform at the same time, it's either one of the other and those levels with the blue wisps? Why?! Why slow me down even more to a crawl, what a useless wisp. The DS version on the other hand is one version I can play all the time, it's very fluid and Sonic doesn't feel stiff when he jumps either. Sonic Lost World (PC) Made a post about in the un/popular opinions thread Would have posted about Sonic Colours in that thread but didn't really have much to say about it.

Not really sure how well received Sonic Lost World is around here because I wasn't around when it was released but anyways But it has to be the most "What, why and how?" game I've played in the series, even Sonic the hedgehog 2006 gives context to what's happening but after playing this game on PC in both English and Japanese to see if I can make sense out of it I just can't aside from a few dialogue changes here and there, the whole game just feels like a mish mash of ideas drawn from the hat and added to the game. The cutscenes all feel so isolated from each other, Sonic and Tails are arguing with each other, okay, where does this lead to? No where. Why are the Zeti interested in draining the planet below? How was the Lost Hex found? Did Knuckles and Amy need to be here other than "Look fans, we're adding other characters into the game again!" Among other things, by the time I got to Sky Road I just thought, well the writers don't care, so why should I? Deadly Six are bad as well and not just because they're villains - Let's have Zeena remind us she's a girl, Master Zik is old so let's just have him constantly tells us, Zomom is fat so he should bring up food. Speaking of levels, they didn't do much for me either, a lot of them with the tube level design just gave the illusion of alternate pathways, you're still traveling along the same distance of tube only on the underside. Levels also feel very disconnected from each other as well, Oh look a honey comb level in Desert Ruins for some reason and a candy level too! Why does Sky Road Act 4 look like it belongs in Desert Ruins? Did they get the levels mixed up? A Casino level without any snow in a snowy world? Sure, why not? Why do most of the levels look so flat anyway? I guess the tl;dr of my 'opinion' is the game is a huge mess, it's not the most awful Sonic game I've played but I don't think I'll be replaying it anytime soon. If anyone can help me out understanding this game I'm all ears and I'm not being sarcastic, generally interested in the lore or design choices with this game and if anyone can provide more info that would be lovely! @BradAric If you liked the Gamegear games a ton you should try out the Master System versions if you haven't already, the Game Gear ones are ports of those and they don't have that annoying screencrunch. @Hyp3hat As said before the gamegear ports really don't do the Master System games justice.

Seymour is not bad at all compared to this from Final Fantasy Tactics A2 http://imgur.com/on59d7A Look at all that clutter, it's like they decided to just stick whatever they can on Luso just to see if they can do it and they did. The sword is ridiculous even by JRPG standards, why is that chain there? Why the puffy shorts but skinny legs? Could go on forever.
  22. Worlds Collide was the crossover I dreamed about with Sonic and Mega Man. It really does show that Sonic and Mega Man have way better chemistry for crossover material than say a certain fat plumber who's only comparisons are...they're both platformers. I always read a random issue now and again of it, damn shame about World's Unite being pretty bad looks like no one wanted to even work on it.
  23. Decided to read from the reboot after Worlds Collide and I'm all caught up. I stopped reading the comics after Sonic Genesis so I figured reading the first crossover and post reboot was probably the best place to start. Now reading all through the Sonic Universe issues post reboot. What I'm looking forward to the most is Ian giving some more context and some back story to Lost Hex, something that was needed in the games since I think he's good at that sort of stuff. I have a question about when they reference past events though because of this new continuity. When they reference events from games like Sonic Adventure is it those exact same moments from the games? or the events of Archie's own canon and their Sonic Adventure adaption way back when? I can't tell if this is a soft reboot or a hard reboot.
  24. Wow, the internet? Hate to sound cynical but they should have just made it another video game based sequel, I can only see this becoming extremely outdated if they reference funny internet memes that get old after a week.

I don't know when I played my leaked copy with an open mind despite the controversy I got a very subpar looking game with inconsistent graphics especially when you compare Becks models to anything else in the game, some very questionable level design and a soundtrack with some talented artists that failed to deliver, Mega Man clone or not. The whole game is just missed potential and whatever Mighty No. 9 does has been done better in other Mega Man games.
