It is a complete game though.

Especially once you realize why it's called FF7 Remake and not FF7 Remake Part 1.

As well as what the Remake in the title actually stands for

It's not what you think at all.

But if it only covers Midgar and not the final battle with Sephiroth then it's not complete. It's only part 1 of a story.

the game has more than enough content to cover the asking price. its not the complete story of FFVII but it's a complete experience in it's own right

    6. dbzfan7

I understand that, but I still don't feel like buying it. I don't feel comfortable especially buying a game multiple times when originally it only needed 1 purchase. I know why it is the case, but it's just how I feel. I know the game is rich filled, but still I like a beginning, middle, and end in my games. Especially when it's not a complete story and I'm not exactly desperate to go through FF7 so I'd rather wait for some complete edition or package before I even consider it.

@dbzfan7 There isn't going to be a "complete edition package" because the game is already complete. This isn't some episodic release like The Walking Dead or something. There's far more behind this game than you're realizing because you're trying to hard to decide you alredy know what it is when you absolutely don't. You're also incredibly missing the point of what I just told you.

Whatever it is you're currently thinking FF7 Remake is, you've been properly lured in by your expectations and led astray. I'm warning you right now that it's absolutely not anything you're thinking it's going to be.

    9. KHCast

Yes there is. They did a complete bundle of all the KH games, you honestly think Square Enix isn’t going to do a bundle of all the FF7 games? lol

also, let’s not pretend square isn’t fully aware they’re gonna be duping a large chunk of the casual audience with their marketing it as simply “Final Fantasy 7 Remake”

I mean in the sense of what he's thinking that collection would be. I'm trying VERY hard not to spoil something crucial here.

Oh well, forget it. His money, his choice.

I'm not sure how it's not the full experience unless it covers all the story. It's definitely has enough content to be a full game, but it's only the Midgar part with more bells and whistles. I ain't going through Clouds full story, we're not getting all the characters, it's only part of FF7. There's clearly going to be more as surely they'll cover the whole game but until then I don't really want to buy part of it then wait for the rest.

Helps I'm not a big FF fan nor that interested in this game. Sure I played the demo and had a good time but not enough to demand I need it.

    12. Cuz

      To each their own then.

@dbzfan7 these'd be spoilers if you were already a fan of the series but

Pretty sure they're referring to how the game is going in a completely different direction than the original game, and is no longer just the "middle of the game" when it ends anymore. Probably closer to a new series that'll get original sequels instead. So even if it is "incomplete", it will be more in line with how a typical video game series releases games and sequels than just breaking one game up into a beginning, middle, and end.

Dunno if this is actually the case though, just what I can gather from the reactions to the ending so far.
