  1. SOMEHOW managed to beat Larxene and Young Xehanort...guess I'll take on Marluxia next

I thought Larxene was easy. Marluxia was pretty easy too. YX....not so much. But hell awaits you in the future. Good luck

  2. Yozora in KH Remind can be easily beaten if you use Ariel and elixirs. Just spam that summon like there's no tomorrow:

I don't even do much damage with Ariel for some reason.

  3. The more I hear movie sonic, the more I feel like Ben Schwartz captures the essense of Ryan Drummond's performance more than Griffith or Smith has. Like, not the sound obviously, but the general energetic and naturally lively feel that Ryan often gave off.

Second best voice for me atm. Enjoying the not cynical Sonic.

  4. Almost done the Data Rematches. Only got 3 left before the big boss. Fuck Ansem and his bullet hell shit. At least I could cheat Luxord and skip some of his games.

I know the first half of the fight isn't so bad.....it's the second half that sucks. I have no idea what to do with the weird blue attack thing that homes in on you, and then combos you with more blue things over and over. But I somehow managed to pull a W in the end after many many tries.

  5. Dude to what happened last time SEGA made another year of sonic I'm incredibly skeptical.

    1. dbzfan7

      dbzfan7

Would be nice if we got Year of Someone else but only Nintendo doesn't have a mixed brand.

  6. You know, I think what bothers me most about Tails nowadays is that there's no pay off to his presence anymore. Before, I could kinda get behind the kid struggling to keep up with Sonic while doing his best in his own way. Now he's just kinda...there and doesn't do anything.

I don't mind him not being much of a fighter, but there's no real...role he plays I guess?

    1. dbzfan7

      dbzfan7

What do you mean? His role is give Sonic someone to talk to. Someone to save when we need that plot. Someone to explain the plot. Someone to give false conflict like in Lost World. Someone to share bad jokes with. Someone to make other villains or heroes look good at his expense. That's plenty right?

  7. It's kinda sad how Amy's character as a whole was largely disliked, but now that Sega have downplayed her defining trait, she's largely just kinda boring now.

    1. dbzfan7

      dbzfan7

I wouldn't say kinda boring, I'd say super boring. Almost if not equivalent to mid 2000's Tails boring.

  8. So fighter's pass ends not with a bang, but a pitiful whimper. Such a shame. Here's hoping for the next characters being good.

This is more the meme was made real. People joked over that fire emblem would get dlc to lampshade how they have too many characters. This is legit. We're ending on a wet fart that as we can see has left a lot of salty mad hoes. Me included.

  11. According to SEGA Heroes, Tails upgrades his combat skills by equipping knuckle dusters. This is still better characterisation for Tails than in Forces.

      dbzfan7

Wait what are you talking about? I played Sega Heroes for quite a while and never saw that.

  12. Is there a show or movie you like where you hate the main character?

Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends would be one for me, thinking back.

    Bloo was a colossal asshat.

    1. dbzfan7

      dbzfan7

Gon from Hunter X Hunter. Before the Chimera Ant Arc I find him as watered down Goku but his actions contradict what he wants and needlessly muddle the character. Every other character is better than him.

    I laughed out loud. XD

  15. Clem in Season 2 of TWD is the one good thing in a whole season of crap.

    1. dbzfan7

      dbzfan7

I still liked it from after all the shit he's been through and how after things have gone his way for some time everything goes to hell. I understand the gripes though.

Yeah Jane sucks and the ending overall sucks with how stupid and contrived it is. Which makes it worse in season 3 where both of them die anyways in shitty ways. I still think Season 3 is worse as I care about no one but Clementine and even then she's barely a focus.

  19. Screw it, Sonic games should take less than two hours to beat. It's not like SEGA's ever going to satisfy the "Where are my 20-40 hour stories" crowd by stretching all the content (especially mission requirements) along a linear campaign, so might as well embrace the arcade-y design by divvying up the content across optional paths for tighter playthroughs anyways.

Really tired of getting halfway through Sonic games in one sitting, hitting the slowest stages in the game, looking at the clock, realizing I'm not gonna beat it before I have to *insert responsibility here*, and giving up on it altogether because I hit the lull in terms of the game's pacing, honestly.

    1. dbzfan7

      dbzfan7

I don't mind short and sweet, so long as it doesn't cost full price like other games.

  20. Why are people shitting on Mike and Jon now? I mean I get past reasons why, but over a tweet like this? I honestly kinda agree...like half way. I mean honestly even if you use rewind or cheats you did beat the game (In contrast to what they said), however I wouldn't say you beat it LEGITIMATELY. I am however glad the feature exists for those who want to use it as some old school games were purposely made bullshit to pad length.

I mean why do people care if they're told they didn't beat the game legit? I can admit I've used cheating devices on some games and don't give a crap if I'm not legit for certain things...so what's the big deal? Personally though using those features is like cheating on a test and passing. This is from me who both does and doesn't use these tools depending on the game. Like in Onimusha 3 this really bullshit challenge I hated, I cheated. I never beat it legitimately for the upgrade and I don't care. It's not a game I take big dick gamer energy from XD.

For something like my love of Fromsoft titles I refuse to use any of these tools at least on my first run. Otherwise a tool to like change my stats when I want a different build I don't mind personally. You can call me out for it and I don't care. Play how you want. People can have their own opinion of definition of beating something so long as they don't be an asshole about it.

    1. dbzfan7

      dbzfan7

I mean I did say that basically. I've admitted to using tools they said we shouldn't. So it's not like I am with them in condoning people. I do what they hate too sometimes. I just understand somewhat the feeling of growth and improving. It's just not everyone has time for it. But man this type of conversation has so many variables to it.

I mean it basically all comes back on itself. I'm not really supporting them. I only half agree. But it's just really odd when the response is "who cares what people think/how they play" but clearly enough people do to complain about their opinion is all.

Hey I'm all for using rewind or save state to cut down on some bullshit I would rather not deal with. I just find it odd that people do care whether they're legitimate or not despite saying they don't care. If you don't care, who cares what they say?

I take pride in winning in skill, but also have no shame using these tools if I feel the game design is bullshit. Like I typically would save state before a boss or something in some games just so I can jump right back to the fight instead of taking a long jog. I wouldn't just save state between hits or something as that's just cheating me out of the fight.

So I'm kinda on the "It depends" before I personally decide what I think. Key thing being what I think, and not the natural law and order everyone must adhere to.

Apparently a lot of people because they're complaining about said opinion instead of ignoring it and not caring about whether it is or not. Which is ironic.

Feeling accomplished is just a human nature we like to enjoy. So of course someone trying to sell short your feeling of accomplishment is enough to rile the internet....but what isn't going to rile the internet honestly?

I care more for myself being legitimate than others. It's more a judge on me than anyone else. I offered the same to my brother when I was coaching him through Dark Souls 1 and 2. But I left him with the choice how he wanted to handle things. Sometimes he believed in what I would do, and others times he would summon. And even then summoning is a in game element so it's using the games rules either way.

Personally anyone can have their own definition of legitimate and beating all they want, and anyone can play how they want. I only half agree and even then to an extent.
