I have a Dreamcast with both SA1 and SA2. The VMU is neat, but the PC versions of both games are good enough for me personally, I think. Just gotta download the mod that removes the shiny shading from Sonic in SADX.

I definitely see the novelty of having a miniature NES and an actual controller that looks and feels identical to the original, and the fact that it connects to the TV and boots straight into a sleek controller friendly interface is a huge plus too. However, none of those things are worth the ridiculous asking prices currently on the market, or the inconvenience of dealing with another potential supply shortage situation similar to what they pulled with the Amiibos. Because of that, I feel that just connecting your computer to an HDTV and using a USB NES gamepad would be enough to suffice for those who don't want to go through all the trouble.

They're going for thousands of dollars on eBay right now. Eh. I mean, I was prepared to throw $60 at Nintendo for one, but I suppose they don't want my money; Thankfully, as it's been confirmed that it's just a ARM based board running a custom version of Linux with an emulator, I can just recreate that scenario on my computer and skip out on the NES Classic entirely. Maybe next time.
