Yeah...this ain’t it. It’s just far too simple for me, and I think that’s what a lot of other people are feeling too. Conceptually it’s a fun idea, and there’s the whole warping worlds thing that reminds me of Soft Museum in NiGHTS, but the gameplay itself is a whole lot of nothing.

Awful lot of family who was ProTrump suddenly went silent yesterday (like literally ALL the men on my mother’s side). I’m not going to push the issue, but it’s still deeply concerning to me that this is what it took. Trump HAS to pay for this, but he still has so many enablers. It’s horrifying.

So I’ve had Melody of Memory for a week and I STILL haven’t found the right BGM Timing for TV play. Sure would have been nice if they had some kind of TEST. Does anyone know how this setting even works?

I suppose I shouldn’t be surprised that the handheld Switch version of KH: MoM plays the best. Because virtually no fucking lag.

Cortex Castle is legitimately badly designed. It’s like if Naughty Dog actually put Stormy Ascent in the first game, as a mandatory stage.

That's pretty much the reason ND had to remove Stormy Ascent in the first place. Asking players to do it all in one go in the state it in was unreasonable l, and ND knew that. They lacked the time to make it easier so it had to go.

Speaking of wanting you to do things from the old Crash games, which had much more condensed stages, how about Draggin’ On having a no crate blue gem? The hell were they on when putting things like that in?

Having played both Origins and Legends, this game is harder than that. Though it’s a more inconsistent difficulty. Like all the Donkey Kong Country games are hard as hell, and I’ve had an easier time with those.

Yeah, I can attest to having to look up a VIDEO GUIDE for Bonus Stages in Crash 4. That wasn’t a thing in the older games, it was easy enough to figure out what you have to do, it was about execution. Then of course I still missed like 3 crates obscured by the foreground so I don’t get the crate gem anyway.

There’s WAY too many hidden crates in Crash 4. It would be nice to just, you know, not have to go out of the way in every single stage.

This has been sincerely getting on my fucking nerves, especially with how many are in every level (usually in the 100-200 mark)

That Willy Wombat 4 is pretty solid. Doubt I’m get all the gems and relics though, because it’s far and away more difficult than 2 and 3.

Some of those are bugs and exploits that just weren’t fixed in 64 and Galaxy. Sunshine really DOES have legitimate issues, though. I’m not going to complain myself that Scrubbing Sirena Beach glitching out on me, but that IS a side effect of EFB emulation that needs to be addressed. ESPECIALLY if they want to do some kind of GCN virtual console later.

I’ve only played two of the games so far. I can say 64 is arguably the definitive LEGAL way to play it now (it depends on whether you care that much about BLJ. Also, I actually find it controls better than the PC homebrew port). Sunshine is...Sunshine. They did nothing to fix what was wrong with it, so it’s still my least favorite 3D Mario. Looks nice, though.

I’m kind of viewing it as the inevitable conclusion when Sony and Microsoft started throwing money around for console/timed exclusives. Anti-consumerism begets more Anti-consumerism.

Color me not impressed so far. Never been a fan of buying out console exclusivity (FF XVI), most of the games I care about are also on ps4, and the whole pre-order thing was a disaster. It will be worth it in a few years when they’re more games I can’t just play on windows or ps4 -
Also, Sony’s “answer” to Game Pass is pretty bad, NGL. You HAVE to buy a PS5 to access it, despite it being all PS4 games (that I all own anyway).

That did nothing to convince me to change course. Series X this year, PS5 later when it has more exclusives. XVI (no release date and also on Windows), Miles Morales, and Ratchet (no release date) are the only ones that interest me so far.

Unless the PS5’s price is REAL GOOD, I’ll probably get a XsX first. Most of the early games I’m interested in are multiplat. I’d wait on Ratchet and Demon’s Souls for PS5.

The Series S is nice and all, but it’s going to hold back PS5 and Series X quite a bit.

It’s a good stepping stone for people to actually adopt the next generation sooner rather than later. Basically I don’t think it’s going to do any more harm than what the whole cross gen thing did for the industry last time.
As time goes on, 1440p for it will become 1080p, some things will get paired back, but it should still be able to play newer games which is often all a lot of people really want.
