  1. Yeah...this ain’t it. It’s just far too simple for me, and I think that’s what a lot of other people are feeling too. Conceptually it’s a fun idea, and there’s the whole warping worlds thing that reminds me of Soft Museum in NiGHTS, but the gameplay itself is a whole lot of nothing.

    AMERICA: 2020

Awful lot of family who was ProTrump suddenly went silent yesterday (like literally ALL the men on my mother’s side). I’m not going to push the issue, but it’s still deeply concerning to me that this is what it took. Trump HAS to pay for this, but he still has so many enablers. It’s horrifying.
  3. So I’ve had Melody of Memory for a week and I STILL haven’t found the right BGM Timing for TV play. Sure would have been nice if they had some kind of TEST. Does anyone know how this setting even works?

  4. I suppose I shouldn’t be surprised that the handheld Switch version of KH: MoM plays the best. Because virtually no fucking lag.

    1. KHCast

I didn’t get any lag on PS4 Pro

  5. Cortex Castle is legitimately badly designed. It’s like if Naughty Dog actually put Stormy Ascent in the first game, as a mandatory stage.

    1. Ryannumber1gamer

And then expected you to do it without deaths for 100% completion

    2. Conando

Yeah. I will say I only died FIFTY times, though. Better than over 200 times, I guess.

    3. Sonictrainer

Can you spoiler tag the Stage Names, please?

I haven't gotten that far, yet...

    4. Harkofthewaa

That's pretty much the reason ND had to remove Stormy Ascent in the first place. Asking players to do it all in one go in the state it in was unreasonable l, and ND knew that. They lacked the time to make it easier so it had to go.

  6. Speaking of wanting you to do things from the old Crash games, which had much more condensed stages, how about Draggin’ On having a no crate blue gem? The hell were they on when putting things like that in?
  7. Having played both Origins and Legends, this game is harder than that. Though it’s a more inconsistent difficulty. Like all the Donkey Kong Country games are hard as hell, and I’ve had an easier time with those.
  8. So...about the final stage in the game. https://www.gamesradar.com/an-ode-to-the-crash-bandicoot-4-level-where-i-died-258-times/?utm_content=buffer6a963&utm_medium=social&utm_source=facebook&utm_campaign=buffer_grfb&fbclid=IwAR1mDDqTg8XZHktD6zSoGCyaDrS0elNseXFRP8xFQ1GklInRCACL9wWjJUQ
  9. Yeah, I can attest to having to look up a VIDEO GUIDE for Bonus Stages in Crash 4. That wasn’t a thing in the older games, it was easy enough to figure out what you have to do, it was about execution. Then of course I still missed like 3 crates obscured by the foreground so I don’t get the crate gem anyway.
  10. There’s WAY too many hidden crates in Crash 4. It would be nice to just, you know, not have to go out of the way in every single stage.

Increases replay value I guess. I'm having the same problem lol

    2. Ryannumber1gamer

This has been sincerely getting on my fucking nerves, especially with how many are in every level (usually in the 100-200 mark)

  11. That Willy Wombat 4 is pretty solid. Doubt I’m get all the gems and relics though, because it’s far and away more difficult than 2 and 3.

    1. mayday2592

Before I started I was confident I'd be getting through the game no problem and grabbing most of the gems first run after playing Crash for over a decade. Fast forward to now and I think I only have 3 or 4 box gems Lol. Gonna take awhile to get everything.

  12. Just to follow up on people’s concerns about Biden and Harris. They both have been tested and it came back negative. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.buzzfeednews.com/amphtml/nidhiprakash/joe-biden-coronavirus-test-trump-positive
  13. It’s deeply disturbing seeing older family and family friends morphing into Trumpers.

      Sapphirine Wind

It's plain painful seeing the people you once saw as wise or loving or anything else support that stain on the presidency and spew all the hate, excuses and misinfo that seems to come with being his fan.

  14. A Long Fall is still the best dungeon BGM, in FF XIV.

  15. A Long Fall is still the best dungeon BGM, in FF XIV.

  16. Some of those are bugs and exploits that just weren’t fixed in 64 and Galaxy. Sunshine really DOES have legitimate issues, though. I’m not going to complain myself that Scrubbing Sirena Beach glitching out on me, but that IS a side effect of EFB emulation that needs to be addressed. ESPECIALLY if they want to do some kind of GCN virtual console later.
  17. I got in a pre-order, for Series X, from Microsoft itself.

    1. Winston

I tried but the Series X would not get into my cart on their website. Amazon came through for me though, like they did for the PS5.

    2. KHCast

      @Winston Damn you’re getting both?

    3. Winston

Yeah, I figured I would. I like Game Pass too much to turn away from it, but I prefer Sony's exclusives.

  18. I’ve only played two of the games so far. I can say 64 is arguably the definitive LEGAL way to play it now (it depends on whether you care that much about BLJ. Also, I actually find it controls better than the PC homebrew port). Sunshine is...Sunshine. They did nothing to fix what was wrong with it, so it’s still my least favorite 3D Mario. Looks nice, though.
  19. I’m kind of viewing it as the inevitable conclusion when Sony and Microsoft started throwing money around for console/timed exclusives. Anti-consumerism begets more Anti-consumerism.
  20. Color me not impressed so far. Never been a fan of buying out console exclusivity (FF XVI), most of the games I care about are also on ps4, and the whole pre-order thing was a disaster. It will be worth it in a few years when they’re more games I can’t just play on windows or ps4
  21. Also, Sony’s “answer” to Game Pass is pretty bad, NGL. You HAVE to buy a PS5 to access it, despite it being all PS4 games (that I all own anyway).

  22. That did nothing to convince me to change course. Series X this year, PS5 later when it has more exclusives. XVI (no release date and also on Windows), Miles Morales, and Ratchet (no release date) are the only ones that interest me so far.

  23. I kind of doubt anyone else is playing, but here’s my Crystal Chronicles totally not a Friend Code.

Reminder that it’s also North America only.

    1. KHCast

I’ll add ya when I get PlayStation plus again!

  24. Unless the PS5’s price is REAL GOOD, I’ll probably get a XsX first. Most of the early games I’m interested in are multiplat. I’d wait on Ratchet and Demon’s Souls for PS5.

    1. Thigolf

      Ratchet is launch window, though.

    2. BadBehavior

Already bought a switch this year so I'm gonna wait for a year or so after launch till I get PS5. Did the same for PS4. Asides from the excusives, I feel like having to develop for the Series S and X will cripple any game that comes to those systems.

    3. Conando

Launch Window includes the entire year after launch. What I’m saying is I’m not gonna go out of my way to get a PS5 early. I mean, they sent me something telling me to sign up for the possibility of the privilege to pre-order the PS5.

    4. Polkadi~☆

Ratchet & Clank is the only thing I want. Otherwise, I'm not pressed to get any next-gen console. I've got a Switch, I've got a PS4, and I'm really getting into playing retro consoles.

  25. The Series S is nice and all, but it’s going to hold back PS5 and Series X quite a bit.

    1. Jovahexeon The Undyne

      Jovahexeon The Undyne

      Oh? What's the context?

    2. Strickerx5

It’s a good stepping stone for people to actually adopt the next generation sooner rather than later. Basically I don’t think it’s going to do any more harm than what the whole cross gen thing did for the industry last time.

As time goes on, 1440p for it will become 1080p, some things will get paired back, but it should still be able to play newer games which is often all a lot of people really want.

    3. Conando

They generally develop for the lowest common denominator. It COULD lead to games not utilizing as much as the hardware as possible. This is only a possibility, though. Any dev already targetting PC can just set the S version to run in potato mode.

    4. Tornado

The main setback of the SeS is the graphics card, but it's easy to scale graphics down if the graphics card is the main difference. It still has a Gen 4 SSD and a Ryzen 3700 equivalent, so the advantages of game loading and the like are still there.

    5. Conando

      Yeah, that’s true.

    6. Wraith

I question it's viability in the long run but I wouldn't worry about it too much in these first couple years where almost every game is gonna have like 4 different versions for crossgen
