So I just played the first level of the demo for myself.  And I can say, without the slightest hesitation, that this game sucks.
The opening movie and the soundtrack? Brilliant.
The art style and character design? Absolutely delightful.
Everything else? Tragic.
I don't even know where to begin, so I won't even bother. It's slow and clunky, it's by-the-numbers and the presentation is pathetic. There's just nothing good to say about the gameplay at all. Even the graphics are pretty bad. Not even the faintest glimmer in that opening level and what I think was a hub world. Utter rubbish.

That wasn’t a thing in the older games, it was easy enough to figure out what you have to do, it was about execution. Then of course I still missed like 3 crates obscured by the foreground so I don’t get the crate gem anyway.

This character looks to be the most technical one so far, and yet they still look really, REALLY fun to play as.
I'm sure I'll despise fighting against really good Steves online like I do with Min Min, Kirby, Pikachu and the Shotos, but for now I'm keeping an open mind. Also:

Yeah the only thing I have issue with in the video are the big three Sunshine ones (the underwater dashing and debug cubes being really unacceptable presentation issues in a gold-standard Nintendo product, and the Sirena Beach thing majorly affecting gameplay).  Leaving in all the original glitches is fine by me, everything displayed in that video, while they look fairly easy to pull off, require extremely unusual player behaviour.

Man, Sony revealed the price for Brazil and damn. It's not as bad as I thought it would be, but it's still fucking expensive as hell. The disc version will be 5.000,00 BRL, or around $960 dollars. The digital version is 4.500,00 BRL, which is just a riddiculous conversion, it should've been much cheaper...

That’s the thing. Before BbS, bosses rarely if ever had iframes, especially in 2. They’re egregious in the Yozora fight.

They all go full on Osaka team once they hit half health. It doesn’t make for a fun time.

Edit 2: I did the Ansem Battle, and that one actually was pretty enjoyable. You were right about him getting spammy near the end, but you can at least stagger him. Xemnas? I don’t even see an opening once he’s been slapped around a bit.

I can’t say all that much, being an American, but it’s very distressing England didn’t learn from our 2016 mistakes. It is NOT GameFreak that is taking action against Leakers, it's The Pokemon Company International. Despite what people think about GameFreak, TPCi runs the show as an independent entity. They're pissed that they got caught with their pants down; rushing the games to keep that sweet merch gravy train going.

They could just do a blanket non-dex ban though. People would still be pissy, but it’d definitely be good for game balance and people COULD use whatever they want in friend battles and unranked battle spot.

If you were following his Twitter, he's actually being doing that Luigi voice for years now. I definitely remember him doing these cute little skits with Mario and Luigi figures where Luigi sounds like he does in these cutscenes.

Blizzcon is just going to be an absolute delight, isn't it? I was never really an ardent supporter of Blizz, but I have several friends who actually went ahead with the deleting of their whole battle.net accounts. Really, I don't know how Blizz DIDN'T expect this kind of backlash, especially with all the news of corporations self censoring to appease China right now.

Let's be fair, a really shitty player can not win in the latest Mario Kart games even with the Blue Shell still being a fuck. Hell, that might be what makes people angrier about it now, because the items only cause luck wins in evenly matched races. I'm almost entirely sure Journalists are struggling is due to the game being mechanically different. I'll admit when playing it at PAX I forgot how to actually use mini-turbos until near the end of my time with the demo!

As with before, it's probably because Activision is cheap as fuck. They didn't want to compress the game and print it on a dual layer BD for Xbox One and PS4, so no way in hell are they going to pay for a 64 GB Switch Card, since compression is too difficult apparently.

It makes me angry because I’m from the era where grind was saved for RPGs, not every goddamn multiplayer game just so they can shove MTXs into them. I’m also mad because, as someone who HAS mental health problems, and did fall for this shit for a time, I fully know how disgusting and manipulative MTXs are. They can literally ruin people’s lives.
