I always enjoy when fans act like they wrote shadow.  People change, people struggle. Shadow struggles.  He tries to do right but he's not perfect. He has some pride and wants to protect others but not always in the right way. There's a reason Sega always bils him as an anti hero. They are not perfect  but he's trying his best also I'm sure he's upset he let eggman go but it's not eggman fault he's doing all this

Stephen Rodriguez reacted to Ryannumber1gamer in Team Sonic Racing - Upcoming Sonic Racing Game
Team Sonic Racing isn't a bad game though, certainly not one that's gonna knock Sonic's rep down. If anything, the team mechanic was done very well despite sounding utterly idiotic. It plays distinct enough to separate itself from MK and Crash too.
That said, I think what ultimately caused it's downfall is just it's budget. I think if it got the budget of All-Stars Transformed, this could've really been fantastic.

Stephen Rodriguez reacted to The Tenth Doctor in The Lara-Su Chronicles and Ken Penders topic - READ PAGE 164, POST 4096
No one knows, Ken hasn't said anything at this point. Even so, he'd be unrecognisable to avoid looking like Sonic (probably wiping all family traces too to avoid Amy) and Ken will never release this trash. You really don't want him in this.

Stephen Rodriguez got a reaction from kalion in Team Sonic Racing - Upcoming Sonic Racing Game
Here are my thoughts so far.
OK, so admittedly, the character roster is in need of improvement. I'm hoping that at the very least, the game gets some DLC racers, but I doubt they would be non-Sonic characters, since the point of already not including characters from other SEGA franchises as regular racers was to make TSR completely separate from the All Stars Racing games.
I still can't agree with this notion that the tracks are "boring" and "uninspired". They just don't scream those two words at me. Based on more recent gameplay vids (like the ones from the Tokyo Game Show), the gameplay shown so far still looks relatively solid, even if the whole "team" aspect will take some getting used to.
However, I am quite annoyed by the fact that the marketing is weak, and I feel like it's this reason that TSR will be overshadowed by CTR, regardless of its reception. The idea that a visually enhanced remake would get more advertising than a new and original title is pretty upsetting, to say the least.

We haven't seen a thing. Marketing just sucks and we have no idea how the updated game looks after these months of delay. I still like the tracks shown so far and the team gameplay, I genuinely like them, but I'm just... Curious and hungry for some substancial footage.
I also don't buy the whole "Sega are afraid of the bad quality of TSR so they just show the music" they stopped giving footage after the delay was announced. This just shows how paranoid the fans are.

Stephen Rodriguez got a reaction from Miragnarok in Will 2019 be a good year for Sonic?
I personally thought that 2017 and 2018 were good years for Sonic due to Mania, Mania Adventures, and the IDW comics. As for 2019, it looks to be a mixed bag. I'm probably the only one here who is still looking forward to TSR and not really pitting it against Crash Team Racing. To me, TSR will be good (but not GOTY-tier) at best, and average at the worst. But since they delayed the game (which I hope does help), we'll just have to see.
I'll still be following the IDW comics and can't wait for the annual to come out this month, so that's another thing. Still I wish SEGA gave it more attention.
Of course things aren't looking too good for the movie at the moment, and to be honest with you, I've been more looking forward to seeing Detective Pikachu ever since I saw the first trailer back in November. However, I don't think it will affect the series that much. If none of the mediocre to outright bad titles in the game series were enough to kill Sonic, what makes you think this movie will? If it fails, it'll just go down the garbage chute with the rest of the bad video game film adaptations.
So yeah, those are my thoughts about Sonic in 2019. That is all.

I'm sorry you like to make arguments without having any knowledge of whether they are true, then?

Anyway, I think this thread, which has been nothing but back and forth between everyone on this forum and two members for the past 3 dozen pages, has run its course for the time being. When there's actual news to talk about instead of just a shoutfest between the rest of SSMB and people who seemed to have accepted restitution from Paramount pictures, we'll open it back up.

Stephen Rodriguez got a reaction from MainJP in What are some missed opportunities in the Sonic franchise?
The franchise not having a consisent world and gameplay style (the most common issue with the franchise), Amy being left out in Mania, the Lost Hex and the Deadly Six not having a backstory, not enough original levels in Mania, not enough DLC in Gens, not making Tails brave in Forces, and not making both Chaos and Fake Shadow bosses in Forces. I think that's it for me, really.

An ironic statement from the man given that that redesign is the precise kind of thing he himself would peddle and encourage, and his OWN ideas weren't exactly going to wow the fandom either given his hyperfixation on a niche part of the franchise to the exclusion of everything else.
Honestly though, I wouldn't pay much attention to what he says in regards to this film. Penders has repeatedly tried to deny that this was ever going to happen and demonstrated a rather prolonged amount of bitterness over the fact that its happening while his own ambitions died in flames. Even if this film looked good he'd still trash it for the simple crime of not being the film HE was going to make. His two cents ain't worth a halfpenny.

Stephen Rodriguez reacted to Sonic Fan J in Sonic Live Action Movie Thread (Read OP for topic rules) "Trailer 2 on Page 482)
Your argument doesn't really work on multiple points.
    1) You used a very cartoony drawing of Rocket despite their being plenty of examples from the comics that actually better match his movie design.
    2) At no point have Marvel minimized or downplayed Rocket being based on a real racoon. A better comparison would have been if you took Marine the Raccoon and compared her to rocket which would again just shown how incompatible Sonic's design philosophy is with a live action design philosophy.

    That also makes no sense.
Mania plus (the one that has a physical version) came out about 3 and a half months ahead of forces. It's not going to suddenly vanish from store shelves without a buyback, which we would hear about.
It's less of an evil plan and more like you making a ridiculous conspiracy theory.

It's just a bundle to increase sales by offering overall value. Why are you digging for malicious intent?

Stephen Rodriguez got a reaction from GuyWithThePie in Your outlook for the 3D series
I don't want to lose my faith in the future of Modern Sonic, but it's quite clear that 3D Sonic hasn't been doing well as of late, and I don't even know if the next 3D game will even reach the amount of success that more well recieved 3D titles such as the Adventure games and Generations has garnered. However, I don't think 3D Sonic should be dropped in favor of 2D games, because the 2D format alone will just get old and repetitive. For 3D Sonic, Sonic Team and SEGA either needs new blood to run the series or let someone with a better understanding of 3D Sonic handle the games for a while.

I'm going to put this nicely. Please don't throw around the word autistic like this. It's disrespectful (at best), not that you seem to care about that. Speaking of:
We get it, you and you alone understand Shadow. Seriously, I don't understand why you feel the need to condescend even to other fans of the character. You've done this embarrassing fanboy shit constantly, to the point where I'm shocked people are still bothering to engage with you on this. In fact, I'm gonna ask everyone to stop talking about this. The Archie thread had it's fair share of annoying circular arguments and it sucks seeing it happen here too.
And hey...maybe a strike will knock some sense into you.

Knock it off with the fanboyism and the condescending tone as we have tolerance for neither here at the SSMB.
Obnoxiousness aside, not at the rate you're going in all honesty will this ever happen. Staff is real sick and tired of talking to you about the way you talk down to your fellow members at times and it's bound to get you banned from here unless you seriously shape up and learn to talk to people with an actual sense of respect even when you disagree with them.
No one should be considered to be "delusional" for having an opinion that you disagree with or even find to be seemingly impossible to have. Especially since we all have opinions that can and actually do vary.
Not only should this be acknowledged, but contesting said opinions should be done so respectfully and not in dismissive and insulting manner. Not only is it counterproductive to constructive discussion but it puts you in line for disciplinary action if this happens again. Do not do this.
