  1. I liked it for the most part. It wasn't trying too hard nor was it convoluted and ridiculous like a lot of what came before in the post SA2 era. I would have liked to see more characters added for gameplay purposes but it was a fun game with a light hearted story.

  3. I'm not seeing a Market Place section when I search. Anyone have a link?
  4. Hey all. Been a while since I posted. I was curious if there is a place to sell items from our collections. As I get older my hobbies are taking over and I'd like to downsize a few things to make room for others. I'm mostly looking to sell several of my Sonic games. I know eBay and the usual suspects but wasn't sure if there was a dedicated forum for Sonic fans as I'd prefer actual fans get any of the games they may be looking for.
  5. Shadow's back story and portrayal is a big part of why I don't like him. If anything I'd have made him a character in Sonics world that had abilities but that were enhanced via an experiment and it has left him with a chip on his shoulder and with a worse attitude than before. The it into Robotnik to keep that element as a nod to the old prigin . Just keep it simple. No guns, aliems, G.U.N., Assassinated little girl.
  6. Big suffers from the common portrayal vs presentation problem. People don't like him because they disliked him in SA1. In the books he was presented as a one dimensional character in a lot of ways. The reason that is not a bad thing is because some people are who they are. Not every character has to be this uber complicated with a massive backstory. Big is the blue collar character. Just a nice guy who enjoys the simple things in life. He doesn't mess with others but doesn't back down as shown in the books. He is nice to everyone and accepts everyone without judging. He protects people he cares about as shown with cream. He is basically a loveable giant and nothing less nor more. Thats a good presentation. As I said, sone people just are who they are. Problem is he is portrayed as a simpleton rather than a simple guy who will never be a rocket scientist book smart type. If je wasn't given the derpy voice and the over the top froggy stuff he'd be liked more I think. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk
  7. I hope the series doesn't treat sonic like the end all be all again. Yes he is the main hero but the rest of the cast are heroes in their own right as well. I'd like to see Infinite return and I really hope we get more villains like Thunderbolt. I'd also like to see th characters fit in a bit better. Post reboot wasn't too bad nut pre reboot, the game cast didn't always look like they belonged. The Dingo army and the Felidae, the Wolfpack. Many just didn't have the continuity of appearance. I hope that is fixed. TBH, even Tangle looks like she is from a different series from the pics I've seen. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk
  8. Here it is copied _ Sure. "Sonic Chronicles" was said to take place a few years after the main continuity, providing a convenient sliding timeline. Let's say down the line SEGA allows you to use those characters and that story. Would you personally not want to touch it, or would you want to use the stuff in it? Oh, I'd be all over it. And as far as I've heard, SEGA would be cool with it. The concern is Mr. Penders would sue if we did.
  9. Here is the link . Ian stated he'd be on board (at the time) to writing a Chronicles story and that Sega would be ok but seemed Archie was the one concerned over Penders. I believe there were other interviews where he answers along the same line but need to find them. Scroll Down about 3 posts http://bumbleking.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=7635&start=60
  10. I don't think that is accurate as Sega had no problem with them appearing in the old series but rather it was Archie restricting their use as stated by Ian. I'll try and find the interview.
  11. I know that Ian mentioned none of the characters created for Archie would be returning but I certainly wish we'd get more Thunderbolt. I genuinely enjoy that tiny crazy chinchilla. With this fresh start in the books and how Forces had a more "Mobian" (or whatever the correct term is now) population, I wonder if we will see the team maybe reach out to someone like Ian for ideas in the future for potential stories and characters. If I am not mistaken I think they had him write a few episodes on the Boom series already. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk
  12. Actually, Stan Lee has had legal disputes with Marvel over the years to varying degrees of success. Same with others such as the families of the gentlemen that created Superman and Batman
  13. Thank you for correcting that. I had thought that was a Penders creation. As far as his work on the Knuckles books, I was never a fan of the "last of his kind" trope and getting other echidnas was nice but making it so sci-fi and a giant family feud made the title over complicated and many characters uninteresting. If that carries over to his new work without the core character of Knux then it all seems pointless. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk
  14. What little I have seen of this project and his other self made work, the more I find it difficult to not smh. The art style is def not to my taste and the whole thing just seems unappealing. I always felt he tried to force a bit too much of a heavy sci-fi angle on the Sonic stories and this project seems to take it into overdrive. As for Shade and the Nocturnus clan, I think they were a better version of that concept and would like to see at least Shade and Ix make a return someday, even if only in comic form. Funny thing is, in the comics I liked Dr. Finitevus as a villain. While Penders technically created him as the scientist off to the side, Ian really made the character. Shame since he was an interesting villain. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk
