  1. With how fond of interventionism New York's become in recent years, I'm surprised they haven't picked it up. I guess the conservative northern parts have a good deal of clout still. If it hasn't been banned in New York City, however, I wouldn't be surprised if it is shortly. New York City having 3% of the American population... I think it's a good start. New York City is miles more important than several states combined.
  2. I give thanks to baby Jesus for having Nintendo rise 6% today. Sold that stuff and am not looking back. SEGA -never- screws me over, I'm sticking with them.

Out of curiosity, what source do you use to handle your investments? Like, do you use a certain program or website or whatever? I've been thinking about buying some stock as well but I'm at a loss when it comes to how I begin.

I make use of Scottrade; if you'd like you can PM me and I can refer you. Being referred gets you three free trades. :)

  3. Just checked my IMs. I could have roomed with the Metal Sonic cosplayer at Boom had I done this earlier. I could. Have roomed. With the Metal Sonic cosplayer!

Aw, what a missed opportunity... =(

  4. Haha I got a warning about adding too many people on Facebook. Maybe 50 Sonic fans was a bit much, yes...

Any more clockwork and I'd be a Sly Cooper villain.

I know right? "Only add people you know from real life, roar!" seems kind of contrary to the idea of making friends...

  5. I feel so ignorant when general gaming talk comes up. My brain instinctively tries to redirect conversation back to hedgehogs and other fuzzy things.

  6. If Sonic Fans Nevada ever becomes a big thing and I do giveaways and stuff. I'ma steal the "Bring forth the merch!" line from Summer of Sonic, mmkay?

At Summer of Sonic the winner of the trivia contest was presented with a piece of merchandise and the host had a dramatic "Bring forth the MERCH!" voice.

    3. TCB

Not that; the Sonic Fans Nevada point.

Oh! It's my little Facebook group I've been building up starting today by stalking every Sonic fan in the area and inviting them. Once we have a larger member base I intend to start hosting meetups and such until we hopefully can have some sort of convention going.

    5. TCB

      'Stalking' lol

So like what Sonic London is.

More or less! ...though I'm more ambitious than London and want a Vegas con someday. :P

  7. The Nevada Sonic group has reached 6 members if I'm not mistaken. We're getting there slowly!

  8. Okay. My Facebook group is up a third person. It's... a start!

  10. Uekawa delivers as always! The pose is definitely fresh. He looks as if he's... *sunglasses* Falling free in the wind.
  11. Apparently the magnifying glass on ants principle means nothing in some places. I presume they'll probably modify it so that the reflected light isn't as intense. I mean, this is just ludicrous and I wouldn't be surprised if they get an injunction to do so. "London gots a death ray." Hogfather, I love your choice of words at times.
  12. https://www.facebook.com/groups/492628957493473/ It'll have to do. Mass friend requests are being sent out, followed by invites.

  14. I have found over 1000 people in Las Vegas, on Facebook who like Sonic. Jack. Fucking. Pot!

  15. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O80wOO3dYwg Great thanks must be given to Summer of Sonic for introducing me to this track. One day, I'd love for him to perform at one of these Sonic fanmeets we've got going...

Obscure Sonic merchandise from the 90s, that's always interesting.

I might. What's really nice is there's a flipbook animation of Sonic from the cover to the back in the upper right corner...

  20. BBCode is fairly simple to use, and you can make use of most of them in the reply bar - Bold, underline, strikeout, etc. The only often used BBCode I don't see in the post bar is the spoiler tags, which are a simple case of [ SPOILER ] without the spaces followed by [ / SPOILER ] without the spaces around whatever you wish to obscure.
  21. Just realised how old this is. Well. At least we have two states banning the practice with federal protection... think this might make its way to the Supremes eventually? Even if being homosexual or bisexual was somehow influenced by upbringing, it obviously isn't a conscious choice. I cannot make myself love women on a whim and I can't make a straight man love another man on a whim either. If there is any sort of "choice" in the matter... it's clearly during the formative years, and by the time you've been enrolled in one of these, you're so far past puberty I don't think you can really change. Between genetics and the likelihood that any after-birth changes happen in the youngest years and would be extremely difficult to change, this is absolutely idiotic. Never mind the fact that as a parent you should love your children no matter what. The far right religious types would do good to remember that even if being gay is a sin, no one is free from sin barring God, and it says a lot about one's agenda to single out gay people. It says a lot that the habit is so bad, the Baha'i faith outright says that while homosexuality is sinful, they say right after it shouldn't be given precedence over any other. To judge another is to believe you are infallible yourself. To believe such is to be guilty of Pride. Pride is what caused Lucifer's fall and is the root of all other sins. Folks would do well to remember that. As the superpower in the Cold War, we built ourselves in opposition to the Soviet Union. The USSR had many government programs and properties, so we associated any attempt by our government to do the same as "socialism." It became common practice for the elites to add "socialised" to any new practice to discredit it. Naturally, the fear of "socialised medicine" and "socialised education" and "socialised housing" went a long way; it basically discredited other ideas that the proponents would have had. A person who supported gay marriage was suddenly viewed as disreputable because they also supported universal healthcare or tighter government regulation of business. Never mind, the lack of funding for education depressed people's ability to learn and improve their lot in life. Religious extremism tends to decline with greater incomes and education, so there's that. One thing leads to another... never mind it's in a GOP politician's interest to keep education in disrepair because better education almost inevitably weakens their economic and religious ideologies; educated people tend to realise how bullcrap laissez-faire economics is and maybe, just maybe, the belief in your particular God may be incorrect. Overall, one thing led to another. Once the conservative generations die out, I think America's going to rapidly catch up to the rest of the West in ideological terms. Sounds crazy, but let us remember there was a time when America was in fact the leader for personal and economic liberties in the world. Just as China is slowly climbing back to its former glory after centuries beneath the heel of Western powers... surely the United States can one day resume its position of moral leadership?
  22. Fantastic work as always! I'll echo the comments of really loving the texture you give the furry characters; it reminds me of the "furry but not too furry" look Sonic is given in some of the games. That you did it with pencil rather than CGI is really impressive, though!
  23. Dr. Crusher has lovingly dubbed me "Tasmanian Lombax Raccoon Thing." I like.

  24. Do pharma companies PURPOSELY make the pills so large that any bigger you would choke swallowing them?

  25. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pPTUA_wdp78 I must say. I never watched the show Dinosaurs, but that... that ending is all kinds of fucked up.

      Dr. Crusher

Oh yeah, I read about that on Cracked.

      A tad 180, yeah.

    2. Emperor Robrainiac

      Emperor Robrainiac

I remember seeing that as a kid. Also remember getting confused and upset over the ending.

I know Dinosaurs was more of a family show than a kids show, but...
