Well here's something I thought I'd never do. One of my friends has been begging me to buy borderlands 2 and play with him, unfortunately I don't have the best laptop to run games on. I saw a video with many tweaks to make it run on hardware at an even lower end than mine. So, originally I planned on buying the game then refunding it later if it didn't run. Instead I pirated it, yah I'll admit it, so that if I needed more than 2 hours to make those tweaks I could (the game actually runs at 30-60 fps at the lowest settings on my laptop, so it was ultimately pointless), but a couple hours later I get a notification saying an item on my steam wishlist was on sale, ironically it was borderlands 2, so yah that happened.
Honestly, I feel like Borderlands 2 is a lot weaker than the original. In B1 I could easily replay it over and over just on account of how interesting and diverse their vault hunters are, but Zer0 aside all the new guys are so unbelievably boring and I'm sure as hell not paying more money to find out if the DLC chars are worth it.
Borderlands 2 was great! The humour was better, Jack was a better Villain and generally it mostly improved on what the first game set up. It also had better expansions..
Fucking Moxy's Underdome Riot...
Though I waited for Game of the Year edition, because I like having everything for nothing. Sucks you can't play as any of the original Vault Hunters in it either. And as @Blacklightning said, all characters besides Zero are boring. Not tried any of the DLC characters, but I'm not interested in doing so either.
And then there's the Pre-Sequel. It's generally the Borderlands equivalent of Arkham Origins. Doesn't really innovate in any way, just plays very similar to Borderlands 2, but with low Gravity, and a HUGE amount of ear-grating Aussie voices.
