    Can't I have a, I don't know, a fucking proper Star Fox on-rail space shooter game without a racing gimmick or obstrusive motion controls tacked on and that isn't a Star Fox 64 reboot again?
    Like holy shit, I don't know if it's Nintendo being obstinate with their franchises that aren't Mario or Zelda or what but it's not that fucking hard I just want a fucking Star Fox game that is fun.

    Bit belated in making this thread, I recently started a weekly original humour comic strip!






    As you can see I'm going for a gag-a-day-but-with-loose-plotlines-between-strips sorta style.  I post a new comic every Sunday and of course will do the same here, but you can also follow any of my art places for it, or its dedicated series on tapas.io , which has a dedicated app too for easy subscription and reading on mobile devices.

    hi! its been a while.. hhehe is just that my Laptop can't work recently.. so i've been drawing things on paper on the meanwhile the problem its fixed
     
    so here it goes!

    the New Version/Spinoffs  squad XD
    we got Sonic Boom, the New Pacman from the ghostly adventures (ehh can we call it Pacman Dash? its shorter.. anyway XD ) and Rockman X Over
    all of them have some problems with their reputation.. at games (Speccially X Over) or TV series… but  i just wanted to draw them together just as their original counterparts who are in the Smash 4
    we just need a new version of Mario (that never will happend ) and this team would be complete XD

    heeello!
    i already did something for Eggman.. i wanted something Fancy , and a little Classic and Modern looking..
    i like the black gloves too..   i still need to fix knuckles.. 

    the story plot of my AU is:
    In this wolrd .. the humans only live on the ground.. “Mobians” live on the sky rounded by clouds..
    Eggman is an evil scientist (as always) but he creates artificial storms..wich are too stronger, violent and destructive storms.. causing much fear on the “mobian” population;  he pretends to create the biggest storm ever made!  but he needs all the 7 the chaos emeralds …so he can be officially the ruler of the Skyes
    (i've based a little on Zeus, the god of the Thunder, since Sonic's ability on this AU is kinda based on Hermes  =)  )
    Sonic is a messenger, but a special one.. he travels large distances delivering very preciated items..; by running  or by his plane the tornado when is more than one item…. but.. all so lonely…..   until the day he met Tails …
    i am not planing to make a comic with this.. since all the projects i want to do.. and are on a very sloooow progress.. but.. i'd still like to create more things about this little AU  maybe to grafially explain how Sonic and Tails met here.. and how this adventure begins.. but not now..

    here i've redesigned Sonic and friends for a little AU i called Skyline ... and that i'm doing just for fun.
     

     
    i used a different Style, kinda chibi, cartoonish and CD-ish
    Sonic's scarf is based on Sonic's emblem  patern .. with a ring and a wing at the end..
     



     
    pretending this little dude is like a plane pilot and mail messenger...  that can run over the clouds..
    ehhe that was me thinking about the greek messenger god, Hermes 
     
    i removed his peach tummy.. because i though.. if Sonic Boom has blue arms.. then this one can have blue belly
     
     
    then next to him is Amy.. wich before i keep with this.... i have to say.. i wanted to not overuse the red .. so enstead i shoosed Pink for Amy 's clothes..
    her quills are more simple..
     



     
    and her clothes are more like "sweet child" ish..
     
     
    and then we have
    Tails and the great Knux
     

     
    Tails is wearing green..and his Tails are in wing shaped.. since i think he is like a little guardian angel..
     
    then .. Knux... i like what i did with his head.. but not too much with the body... looks evil. wich.. its not the deal
     
    maybe are the shoes....so.. i will change it later...
     
    i still need to work on Eggman.. hehe he is the villain so he is important ..

    'Sup, marks. Been workin' in Japan for the last 10 days. Leaving in the morning. 
    Rode the Sonic 25 subway train in Tokyo to start the trip and soaking in all the Sonic Mania advertising. It's a physical hype train:
     
    Yesterday, we went to the opening of the Sonic 25th anniversary pop-up cafe. Never before have I been emotionally moved by an overpriced food court.
    Japan is p tight. Why it has all this advertising and sweet merch when Sonic is infinitely more popular in the West is beyond me.

    Second, """"art""" thread is gonna be a bit of a stretch because I never have enough time to actually finish anything EVER but! I figure its good to introduce myself and at least put some doodles out there! Here I go. a lot of this is actually pretty old, and im still getting into the groove of drawing sonic characters after not drawing them since I was 10 or so, so be nice
    First, Some actual stuff!
    Now for some non sonic, but still sega stuff!
    Now for some more jokey, extremely quick stuff!
    I think thats about it for now, but I will definitely be posting more!! Until then though, (reasonable) requests are almost always open so drop me a message if you'd like!

    I for one can't wait for the eventual adaptation where these lovable gals perform animal cruelty, spoil nature, and attend to an insane scientific genius while being punked by a symbol of the early 90's.
    I could actually see Motobug and Crabmeat using these as human disguises, so kudos. =)

    Hmmm...
    I always though a good route to go was to expand on it's pinball elements. The Classic games when no one had a frame of reference to compare them, were liked to pinball platformers (and Sonic Spinball being the logical conclusion was likely how the game was conceived); Sonic often acted like a ball more than he didn't. While I think the Adventure/Unleashed games had decent ideas, apparently it is harder than it looks.
    SEGA's often had momentum based gameplay in 3D, and I think Super Monkey Ball could be a good cue to take notes from.
    You'll notice the game is focused around level design, much like the Classics, and the monkeys do not have much in the way of innate abilities as they instead have to rely on clever manipulation of physics. The game is difficult, however this series got it's name from giving platformers teeth again. Some hard edge is necessary to be frank.
    Sure, running on two legs may not be what those games are known for, but Sonic's about making movement fun & interesting. If it has to resort to other schools of thought to do so, so be it.

    I used to hate the Genesis gameplay..... I used to really hate it alot because I thought it was boring. However after looking at others ideas and also playing Sonic Adventure, I started to grow closer to the idea of it being in a 3D setting. However, how would such a idea work? 

    Well In Sonic Adventure, when you first play Sonic in 3D the controls feel like Sonic runs on 2 feet and the controls do feel smooth. It is the same with the 2D games.... in games like Sonic 2 the game makes Sonic feel like a character who runs on 2 feet and his rolling is smooth, especially when rolling down hills or slopes. The problem with the rolling in the Adventure games is that it wasnt as..... smooth really as in the 2D games however spindashing and rolling does give you height sometimes. Though there are times that it doesnt really help. 
    The point is.... is that when it comes to 3D play.... Sonic Adventure and maybe 2 is the closest we are gonna get to the Gensisis type gameplay that made people Sonic fans in the first place. 
    Enter Sonic Generations Classic Sonic!

    It was a good idea! Great concept! But I think they completly miss the point of what made classic Sonic so great and why so many loves his gameplay. He doesnt even roll down slopes and the gameplay is centered around his overpowered spindash. In fact.... everything is about the spindash which.... you shouldnt be forced to use it. When I played the older Sonic games recent, I was never forced to use the spindash. I could use my own skill to pick of speed. Also, the speeds felt really off for me and the only way you can go fast is to spindash.
    Final thoughts

    Well I want to see the classic gameplay expended on in 3D. But I wonder if it can be properly done? I think one way to do it is to build from the ground up. Add rolling mechanics to the 3D games and allow the player to control the character with there own skill and not have to rely on moves such as the spindash or even the homing attack. Also I do want to point of something I call "the rolling parkour".  i like the rolling parkour part in this and i wanna see this happen in a 3D sonic game.  i think this idea is more smoother then sonic lost world’s idea and a good way to expend to the genisis sonic gameplay. because when the character is running and you are rolling.... using the enviroment you can control said character and roll and stick to the sides of walls. 
    it is a good way to expend and keep up the pace.

    Sonic Generations is 4 years old!

    This game came out in December 1st 2011 on all the consoles. I become a Sonic fan around that time and I was playing all the 3D Sonic games. This game was one of the games I play after Sonic Unleashed. This game was also for Sonic birthday and his friends give him a party. So to the game.
    Story:
    It is Sonic on his birthday! His friends give him a party to appericate him. they are having fun when this big monster comes out and takes all of Sonic friends away! Sonic has to rescue them... on his birthday... and its a birthday for him to remember.  He sees places he remembers from past adventures... from the overly use Green Hill Zone from Sonic 1 to the very hard to figure out Planet Wisp from Sonic Colors. Sonic must run to bring back his world and his friends. He doesnt do it alone. Do you wanna know who helps Sonic... other then that freaky 2 tail fox? Who?? WHO??!?!?!!!!

    oh and

    Yes!! You play with another Sonic! Classic Sonic and you can play him in modern stages design for his gameplay. You beat bosses from the past like Death Egg and Perfect Chaos. You also beat rivals like Metal Sonic, Shadow and Silver. You also do mini challenges with the friends. You save all the places and the friends and the final boss is............

    Controlled by classic Robotnik and Dr Eggman. And it doesnt turn on him or steal the spotlights. HOLY PLOT TWISTS BATMAN! Okay bad jokes over. This is the Time Eater boss which is easy or hard to beat depends if you got skills. Beat this guy and everything goes back to normal blah blah blah. OK not much a story but its very simple.
    Gameplay: 
    Modern Sonic has his boost that makes him fast , his homing attack, wall jumping and his ring dash and stomping moves as well. 
    Classic Sonic has his more simple moves like the spindash.... the spindash..... and the spindash,
    But hey, do you know about the skills store? 

    You get points from doing the stages and you get more points when you get a S rank which its not really hard to do. You get get moves like this and add to your skill sets. you cant add more then 100 points but it is awesome. For modern Sonic you can be super sonic, unlimited boost, extra rings etc etc. For classic Sonic he gets a homing attack and the water and electric shelds from other games. Also I do wanna say that theres a move that allows Sonic to stand on his feet after being attacked right away and that is a HUGE help.
    Extras:
    BACKGROUND MUSIC! This is one of the best parts of this game. I was fustrated with the Time Eater when I play this on the Xbox but it was so funny when I put Green Hill Zone as the background music. I was laughing. I also love to use Sweet Mountain for the challenges. 
    DLCS! Well Generations got a very...... useless one. A pinball table. YAYYY
    Challenges: You can do challenges with Sonics friends for replaying stuffs. They can be easy or hard.

    I actually love most of SEGA's old franchises, Nights, Ecco, Golden Axe, Streets of Rage, Comix Zone, I grew up with those gems, so honestly I'm totally up for this. Yes it's nostalgia pandering and reeks of "We have no idea what to do with this franchise", but the idea does appeal to me and if the gameplay is on par with the Generations modern stages I'm up for it.
     
    As for Colors HD, meh, not needed. However, a Wii-U Gens port of the PC version does appeal to me, since I'd love to play 60FPS Gens on a console.

    I just want a game that does the same shit SA1 did conceptually. Big, layered 3D levels with enough diversity in design to support multiple playable characters' playstyles. Multiple characters all with important roles in an overall grander plot, all treated like respectable individuals (Amy living on her own, doing her own shit, making her own choices, influencing other characters in meaningful ways thank you thank you thank you). Meaningful additions to the series lore that really expand upon the universe and strengthens the series identity while also setting foundations for future stories. Grounded, detailed art style primarily recognizable by taking real world ideals and giving them a "Sonic" flourish. 
     
    Frankly I don't care if they do that in a new original game or a nostalgia-focused one. I don't care. The frame of the photo doesn't really mean anything to me - it's the composition and subject that matter. Of course, different things matter to different people, so I can sympathize with people that want to see all new locales and stuff like that, I get it. But to me, eh. Whatever. If at some point in the story I hop in the Tornado, play a rail shooter minigame, and land in Station Square, fully redesigned now to match modern standards with unique NPCs and shit who tell me they saw a shiny gold egg hidden behind some corner in the newly renovated Casinopolis I'm happy. If there's some little town called "Japanese Neighborhood Zone" that's cool. If there's some little town called "Yokosuka" and it has some Shenmue easter eggs that's cool. I don't really care lol.
     
    I know what I want, I don't care how they present it. I don't expect it to happen either. Whatever.
