  1. Almost at the end of Mario & Luigi: Dream Team.

I really loved the new ideas they thought for the gameplay and some of the music tracks are amazing, but the art style shift to a 3D prospective left me unconvinced; plus, the story isn't that strong compared to the previous titles, and the fact that Bowser's characterization is reverted to his classic SMB one is sad.

Oh, and for the love of Heidegger, why the fuck do i have to use the analog stick for everything? Why can't i have an option where i can use the D-Pad?!

Wait until you play Paper Jam.

      It gets worse. MUCH worse.

...I feel  the exact same way about everything you said

@Forte-the-Bell-Tolls: From what i've heard and seen, it's the equivalent of what Sticker Star is to Paper Mario (classic characters only, straight SMB formula, butched mechanics). I still wanna try it, but i'll wait for a price drop.

It's not even worth checking out, if you ask me.

Environments are bland, there are way too many mandatory minigames that serve no purpose but to pad out the game and frustrate the player. (Hope you like backtracking to look for Paper Toads!), and the writers didn't really do anything with the crossover potential. They made the Paper characters have the exact same personalities as their M&L selves, so they don't really play off of each other. It's just the same old "Bowser kidnaps Peach" story, with the only difference being "Now there's two of everybody."

I actually like the 3D artstyle about the same as the previous one, both have their ups and downs for me so its hard to say which one I like better. In terms of the game itself, about the only things I hate about it are the absurd amounts of padding and all the hand holding that game does and the dream sections, while okay for the main ones are kinda boring in terms of the optional ones.

The problem i have with the 3D artstyle is that while it allows much more options in the gameplay department, it just doesn't look clean and detailed as the style of BIS, wich was super detailed especially for a DS game.

I'm positive the future games will polish and perfection this new style, but for now, it's a downer for me.
