Iizuka looking like he's' about to pull a light speed attack on Sonic's neck if forces doesn't sell 2 mil

I have good faith that Forces will sell at least 2m

@Soni Eh, Colors was the last game to clear 2 million (and only barely, since it was 2.06M). Generations despite being considered a better game and having more platforms for release was released against a bloodbath, and it came under 2 million in the yearly IR reports.

And Forces will be riding off Lost World and the Boom spinoffs. Gonna be a tough sell, especially since it's also aiming for a holiday release, so it'll likely have to fend itself off again in a crowded market--and that's speaking under the pretence Forces reviews as well as Colors and Generations.

@Gabe if mania does everything right, then i think that forces will be fine.

(What I mean by bloodbath: 2011 holiday season was insanely stacked:

      The first Skylanders

Mario 3D Land (and later, Mario Kart 7)

      Uncharted 3

      COD: MW3

      Skyrim

      AC: Revelations

      Saint's Row: The Third

      Zelda: Skyward Sword

      Among others.)

@FReaK Mania as of this writing is strictly digital content, people won't be seeing it in stores or see it getting mainstream marketing in the same vein Sonic Forces will be doing. (Though Webber's acknowledged demand for a physical release and is personally vouching for the idea to Sega higher-ups).

Moreover, Mania isn't be developed by Sonic Team, how its received (good or bad) will likely put more pressure on Sonic Team to deliver (in their own right).

@Gabe ye you're right with that. But I for one welcome the competition that sonic team has now, maybe it will have a positive effect on the outcome of forces.
