The trailer shows Toho is the publisher at the jump guys :V
Also ended up finding a bunch of stuff that I can hopefully gnaw my teeth on for now, like the opening five minutes of the movie:

The first fight scene in the movie:
    Most of the OST:
And even a ten-minute prequel setting up the main cast:
    ...
Nope, that just made it even worse
AAAAaAAAAAaaaAAAAAAAA LET ME WATCH YOUR SHIT JAPAN

Being by the same director and screenwriter who made Gurren Lagann and Kill la Kill, I am baffled that this movie is barely getting any traction. I'd trust the two of them to make a fun and satisfying movie, but I haven't got the chance to watch it in the first place

Oh I'd hop on a RoL remake project so fast it's not even funny
Granted I'd probably keep the movement speed roughly the same, and of course the Knuckles glitch obv needs to be left in, and-

It's not even just that. You'd think choosing 06 of all games to remake would prompt you at least to do a better job of its core concepts, but no - people keep insisting on recreating it verbatim, flaws and all.
It's just gobsmacking to me that people can be equal measures talented but dumb like this.

The Deleter got a reaction from SupahBerry in Video game music > Everything else
The way it can combine with the experience of the game itself will always be the pinnacle of the art form to me... but video game music started with what came before most of the time, and the more I listen to, the more I realize I was kinda limiting myself with this line of thought tbh. The vertical slice it offers of music genres is by all means fantastic, but you can do a lot better if you listen around long enough, not gonna lie

The Deleter got a reaction from Blue Blood in idle thought: two homing attacks. one follows the traditional straight-line trajector
@Blue Blood I can say from experience that that's the method that feels like a dream, and something I wish worked just as well in execution as in concept, but the speed/distance of the homing attack paired with how slow fingers can pull back from a button press are what hold it back, leading to accidentally activating the hold rather than a press 25% of the time.
Seperate buttons work, but it's not the same at aaall. Definitely feels more suited for two distinctly seperate moves like the arc HA or a kick, or at least in need of some visual variation to indicate one over the other. It just feels confusing otherwise, activating the same move in appearances without feedback until it actually connects. Plus, it's nowhere near reflex-friendly as a single button HA.
Kind of a bummer of a situation all around, tbh

The Deleter got a reaction from Ferno in Thanos Snap-fired.
A season finale of a TV show I can understand, but the climax of one of the most anticipated and closely guarded movies of the decade... Made and marketed by Disney, of all people... how...

Real Endgame spoilers are floating around out there in the wild now and there's a good chance that they'll grace our eyeballs before we see the movie if we're not careful

A > A: Homing attack, stop after hitting the target
A > A (hold): Homing attack, momentum carries as long as you're holding A when hitting the target (similarly to rebounding to jump height in the Classic games).
Or swap those two functions around. I'm not sure which one would be the most ideal control method. My  thinking is that the default position would be the simpler "stop in your tracks" method that we've known for years. More advanced players would use the momentum carrying potential to their advantage. But you can the outcome choose either way, and you're not locked into a pre-determined method.
This begs the question if where the momentum would be carried from though. In all the games (bar Lost World) Sonic gets an instant speed increase when he homes towards a target. If he keeps this, it'll be a quick way to build up speed. But it would be the same whether jumping from a stand-still or whilst running.

Alright but how is there a bunch of awkward yelling throughout the fight yet Asta is responsible for literally none of it
0/10 two stars I've been deceived
