So I spent tonight playing a game I've been known for hating a lot here, moreso than I can say I usually hate games in a reasonable way...
You know the one. The one with the three-characters-in-one-deal. That's right. Heroes.
I started playing it again recently because I said I'd do it for a let's play twitch stream and show of all the problems I had with the game in the past, but tbh?
To be really honest?
It's actually not so bad.
After playing for a while it just kinda *clicked* with me. Suddenly I felt the same way I did when I was 10! I was able to put away past preconceptions of other Sonic games and it actually doesn't control that bad. A little finicky, sure, but not bad to control. It just takes a lot of time to get used to. You have to take your mind out of that mode, you know?
The dialogue kinda has some charm to it, as well. Team Chaotix's fight scene with Team Dark was actually legitimately funny, and tbh I love all the nods to previous games (Casinopolis, Mushroom Hill, etc). The story's a bit too non-fleshed out for my tastes but
