    I think you forgot that this title is called "Lost World". You can't honestly expect every character to look like Sonic himself. This isn't the first time there was enemies that didn't look like they belong  in a Sonic game. Remember the Iblis enemies from 06, they sure don't look like Motobugs or Egg Pawns now do they? We barely know much about the story but it does seem like it's not going to tell us why the Wisps are in the Lost Hex but who knows maybe the Wisps migrated to Earth and decided to stay there for whatever reason. Amy and Knuckles are not in Lost Hex they're at Earth and yes, it does look like the location they're at does look it's from Lost Hex but they're not in it.

    What's so bad about the Deadly Six? Sure they might not have a big backstory or has multiple personalities. But they look like great characters in their own right. And we all can agree that this franchise needs more villains. Maybe we can see some character development of these characters if they are going to come back fo future titles.

    Am I the only one that felt uncomfortable with the delivery of the last line Sonic said in that cutscene, it felt so "detached" for a lack of better words.

    Everyone seems to be giving their opinions on the music for the Wii U version, but what about that desert theme for the 3DS? Despite being quite repetitive, it was pretty good. The instrumentation gives me Arid Sands Night vibes from Unleashed. Windy Hill is pretty good, it definitely feels like what the first stage should sound like. Desert Ruins 2 Wii U is my favorite out of 4 tunes we heard. Desert Ruins 3 is pretty dope, it fits with the level atleast. Overall, Ohtani hasn't dissapointed me.

    It's between Speed Highway and Empire City for me. But if I were to choose, I would choose Empire City because of how cool it looked. The fog was nice and it defintely looks like a modern city of this time. The music is also one of my favourites in Unleashed, DAT SAX!

    I'm pretty annoyed that nowadays if a game is bright and colorful then it's consider kiddy and childish. Honestly I think more games needs to be colorful because there's not that many games like that out there now and I don't want the Sonic series to jump on the bandwagon and try to 'fit in' with all the mature super serious titles that are out now.

    Why the fuck are you even part of this fanbase?
    You play as a talking cartoon hedgehog! You fight silly animal robots! And the goofy mad scientist who made them! It is and has always been a series designed to appeal to children!

    And now because the game uses different cartoon designs than the usual cartoon designs, it's somehow become too "kiddy".

    Personally from what I can see I think these new characters fit the colorful, cartoony and abstract feel that the game is trying to create.
     
    People complain that there's too many Sonic characters nowadays, So doing something like this seems a good idea because these new characters will probably be in this game and this game only. Kind of like the Wisps. 

    I think if they took some inspiration from Megaman and made each of the characters give you a new ability when you defeat them in battle (Or befriend them if there allies), It'd be really cool. Then as you progress through the game you get stronger and stronger and feel even more ultimate when you reach the final boss.
     
    I will admit the characters don't look very Sonic like, But who am i to judge when all I've seen is silhouettes, maybe when we see the actual 3D renders and see how they've been Shaded and Textured they might look pretty awesome. 

    ​On a side note, Can't we all just respect each other's opinions? It makes me sad that there's so much arguing and hate when this is supposed to be somewhere we can all come to share our love for the blue blur :/ We've all got different ideas of how the perfect Sonic game should be and SEGA can't please everyone. Instead of just saying "Thats a stupid idea", Can't we try to see peoples opinions from their point of view and respect them?

    The reason is because there are more things that Sonic can't isn't allowed to do, than he can is allowed to do.

    Whereas, there is nothing Mario can't do.

    What I'm saying is; there is a very fine tolerance for what is deemed acceptable in Sonic games:
    -Can't be to linear
    -Can't be too fast
    -Can't be too slow
    -Can't have too blocky platforming
    -Can't have to little platforming
    -Can't drive a car (ASR proved all you disbelievers wrong)
    -Can't have a sword
    -Can't have too many bottomless pits
    -Can't be too easy
    -Can't be too hard
    -Can't be "cheap"
    -Can't have too many gimmicks
    -Can't have too few gimmicks
    -Can't be based on the real world, but with a fantasy twist
    -Can't have Pixar-like humans
    -Can't have Anime-like humans
    -Can't have realistic humans
    -Can't have humans at all
    -Can't have too big hubworlds
    -Can't have too small hubworlds
    -Can't have hubworlds at all
    -Can't have extra characters
    -Can't forget/leave out characters
    -Can't have a Monster as final boss
    -Can't be too mature
    -Can't be to childish
    -Can't have an epic story
    -Can't have a simplistic story
    -Can't have 'x' voice actor
    -Can't have voice acting at all
    -Can't have 2D/3D perspective shifts
    -Can't have too childish theme songs
    -Can't have theme songs at all
    -Can't have too much rock
    -Can't have too much orchestral
    -Can't have too much techno
    -Can't have too much jazz

    "Wait but aren't some of these statements contradictory?"

    Well, that about sums up Sonic's situation right now.

    I figured I may as well post my own inclusion ideas for Colors as well. Same deal with my Unleashed one, story plays out exactly the same, but with certain elements added.
     
    - Eggman's theme park is a public attraction with an active audience, mostly consisting of the citizens from Unleashed. Tropical resort serves as the main hubworld where you can access all of the levels and talk with the customers, some of whom directly reference Sonic Unleashed.
     
    - Sonic, Tails, and Amy all arrive in park as invited guests.(Amy made sure to capitalize on Sonic's promise for a date near the end of Unleashed, but he decided to bring Tails along as a "wingman" much to her chagrin).
     
    - Sonic still believes Eggman is up to no good and actively tries to sabotage the park to uncover his plot. Tails & Amy try to tell him to relax and that he's ruining the park for everyone and that even if Eggman is up to something, they can't prove it and thus have no reason to go after him. This leads to an argument with Amy, and she storms off upset with Sonic's neglectful attitude.
     
    - Yacker escapes Eggman's clutches, and tries to find help. He finds Amy, who agrees to help him free his friends, and goes to apologize and recruit Sonic to help. (Yes, this is an intentional call back to her role in SA1).
     
    - Sonic contemplates his attitude along with Tails, who stuck around because of their friendship and to help his bro out.
     
    - Just when Amy reunites with the duo, Eggman makes his presence known and reveals his plan by demonstrating his mind control ray on everyone in the park, including Tails. With an army of brainwashed people under his control, Eggman orders his mob to capture Sonic, Amy, and Yacker but they manage to escape. 
     
    - The trio are now tasked with halting Eggman's plot to enslave the entire planet, rescue Yacker's kin, and save Tails.
